MEDICAL: up to date on Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella and Lymes; Full blood panel looks great; on heartworm and flea/tick prevention PERSONALITY: Are you ready for a spunky, loveable lifetime companion? If so, check out Emma and look no further! Emma is a young Cattle Dog mix (about 1 ½ - 2 years) and weighs about 22 pounds. She gets along with other dogs and loves people—a lot!. True to her breed, Emma loves to play and explore and would do well with someone who will spend lots of time with her and keep her well exercised. Emma came to us in the end of January as a stray from Cleveland. She was very pregnant and gave birth two weeks later to five beautiful puppies! Emma was a GREAT mom, but now it’s time for her to finally get to be the center of someone’s attention as she LOVES people and would gladly cuddle with you on the couch as much as should would go for a nice long walk! Emma is spayed, housebroken and crate trained. If you are interested please contact info.gratefulpaws@gmail.com or fill out an application at https://www.gratefulpawsrescue.com/adopt.html

Story
Twain is a handsome 1-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix with a big heart, a busy brain, and the sweetest snuggles you’ve ever seen. He currently lives in a foster home, where he’s showing just how loving and eager-to-learn he really is. Twain is still mastering the doggie door and working on becoming fully housebroken, but he’s a smart boy who learns quickly. He attaches closely to his person and loves being near his humans—especially if he can cuddle or sneak in a little couch-spooning. He’s affectionate, loyal, and happiest when he’s close. This active pup eats three meals a day because he burns through energy with his playful personality. He plays hard, loves physical engagement, and shows zero signs of food or toy aggression. He is picky with treats, but he’ll never turn down quality time with his people. Inside the home, Twain is learning how to relax and settle. He does spend time in his crate, though it’s not his favorite place just yet. He has some basic manners down, but he will need continued help with leash training and structure as he grows.Twain’s ideal home:He needs a resident dog who can match his physical play style and confident personality—a buddy who can keep up and help guide him, rather than a submissive sibling who may be overwhelmed. With the right dog friend and a patient human, Twain will continue to blossom into the incredible companion he’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a loyal, smart, energetic young pup who will adore you endlessly and steal your heart (and your couch spot), Twain may be your perfect match! If interested in learning more about Twain and the adoption process, please email the shelter foster team at foster@cuyahogacounty.gov today! Please note Twain currently resides in a foster home and is not available for same time meet and greets.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Macy’s Marvelous Four — Pure Joy and Puppy Charm These four little ones are growing up wrapped in the kind of love every puppy deserves. Their mama, Macy, is a small to medium girl (30 lbs at most), and she is one of the sweetest, quietest, most gentle souls you’ll ever meet. She dotes on her babies with her whole heart — calm, patient, tidy as can be — and her nurturing spirit shows in her puppies. Because they’ve grown up with Macy’s steady love and their favorite two-legged jungle gym (that’s you ), these pups are incredibly socialized, confident, and happy. They’ve never known fear, only safety. They trust people, adore affection, and are learning that life is a wonderful adventure. Full-grown size will depend on who daddy was, but they may end up close to Macy’s size. What we can guarantee is this:   They’ll be loving. They’ll be joyful. They’ll be wonderful family companions. These babies will fit beautifully into almost any home — playful, affectionate, eager to bond, and ready to become someone’s heart for life. Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans. We try to post videos for each pet so you can really get to know them. If you would like to find out more please email or call Diane at... diane@ulpr.org or 870-577-3744. Meet Haumea – The Heart You Don’t Want to Overlook Haumea may not turn every head at first glance. She’s not the kind of dog most people would call “fancy,” and she doesn’t need to be. Her beauty lives deeper — in her eyes, in her steady presence, and in the gentle joy that radiates from her heart. If you pause for just a moment and truly look at her, you’ll see it — the quiet grace of a soul that’s pure, loyal, and endlessly loving. Haumea stays right by your side, as if she’s always known that companionship is life’s greatest gift. Her heart is joy in its most honest form. She gives it freely and asks for nothing more than a place to belong. Whoever looks past the surface and chooses this beautiful girl will gain more than a dog — they’ll gain comfort, laughter, and a love so constant it will change their days forever. Adopting Haumea won’t just be a good decision. It will be the best one you ever make.   Please email us at diane@ulpr.org and request an application. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 9, 2025, 1:23 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet This Sweet Litter of Puppies   These puppies were rescued from an overcrowded shelter that didn’t have the resources to care for them. They arrived without their mother and needed a safe place to land — and now they’re thriving in foster care.   Each puppy is confident, playful, and incredibly loving. They are healthy both physically and emotionally, showing trust, curiosity, and joy as they grow. Their energy level is moderate — they enjoy playtime but are not overly hyper — making them a wonderful fit for many different homes and lifestyles.   We expect them to be medium to possibly large dogs when full grown, though their size and breed mix are our best guess since we don’t know who mom or dad were. What we do know is that these pups are affectionate, people-oriented, and will make devoted companions for their future families.   If this picture caught your eye and made you stop to look a little closer, we’d love to hear from you. We’re always trying to find thoughtful ways to help our puppies stand out among the many others waiting for homes.   Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans. Meet Moana. She is a 4 year old purebred Australian Shepherd. Moana weighs 43 lbs. She came from a household who had other dogs and does seem to be friendly with them. Moana is spayed and up to date on vaccines. She just needs a 4dx test which is scheduled for 1/9. We do want an adopter to have a fenced yard and maybe some breed knowledge. She also appears to be housebroken. Her adoption fee is $250. If interested in Moana, please email hartmanshounds@gmail.com.   December 16, 2025, 7:06 pm
