Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hunter is a 2 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix. We rehomed him as a six month old puppy and believe he was abused by his former owner. We have patiently tried to work with Hunter on his behavioral issues and have seen improvement but are running out of time with a new baby on the way. He is a highly intelligent dog with many redeeming qualities. He is loyal and affectionate with his family members and very protective of them. Fully house-trained. Very high energy and requires more exercise than we are able to provide. He is very wary of strangers and exhibits herding nipping behavior toward children. He has some barking issues that seemed to be caused by attention seeking and anxiety. Hunter is crate trained but will do better with minimal crating. He has not been around many dogs but has been OK with them. He chases our cats but does not attack them and appears to want to play with them. Hunter needs an experienced, patient, loving home without young children.

Story
Joker is one cool dude! Joker is on the smaller side, but don't let his size fool you, he is a very active fun loving guy that likes other dogs. We are also told he is house trained and crate trained. Joker's fun personality wouldn't be the best for cats as he has a ball chasing them around. He is looking for a family who can keep him busy. If you are ready to go out on plenty of adventures with Joker, please come visit him during our open hours. A meet and greet with other dogs in the home is required before adoption.

Story
Hey there, potential adopters! I'm Speckles, the one-year-old cattle dog mix with a hilarious personality and a desire for my forever home. Let me tell you a bit about myself and why I might just be the perfect addition to your family. First things first, let's talk about "pupcup" time. It was a breeze with me! I surprised everyone with my calmness. I approached the door gently, and it was just me and my human, no chaos involved. I didn't even think about snatching that cup out of their hand. I'm a true lady, you see. I didn't bat an eye when they took the cup back. Smooth operator, that's me! I loved that treat! Now, let's talk about treats. I am all about those tasty morsels! I'm pretty sure I'm treat motivated. I love enrichment activities here at the shelter. Whether it is frozen fruit or busy bags I'm always ready to participate in the fun. So, if you're looking for a pup who knows how to appreciate some good treats, I'm your girl! I have to admit, I love to jump! It's just my way of showing my enthusiasm and joy. On our pack walks with other dogs, I can't contain my excitement when I see my furry friends. Playing with them is an absolute blast! During these walks, I'm also learning some valuable lessons. I'm working on not jumping on people and improving my leash manners. I must say, I'm making great progress, but I'll need to keep practicing to become a pro. As a working dog, I thrive on an active lifestyle. So, if you're someone who loves to stay on the move and keep up with an energetic companion, we're a match made in doggie heaven! We'll have so much fun exploring and engaging in all sorts of activities together. I truly just love to be LOVED! When I'm alone with my person, I'm a total sweetheart. I crave belly rubs and scratches so be ready to give me all of that! I also adore children. During my time at the shelter, I was able to go on a car ride and pack walk with a 5 and 7 year old and I LOVED THEM! They were my perfect friends and I couldn't help but give them all the kisses. I truly believe I'll thrive with some great guidance and patience. So, what do you say? Will you be the one to give me my forever home? I'm eagerly waiting for that special someone who will understand and appreciate me for all that I am! Oh, and one last thing. Although I show I LOVE other dogs, a meet and greet is definitely required. I just want to be sure I love your furbaby as much as you love them! If you're interested in meeting me, please come visit during our open hours. Let's see if we're a match made in doggie heaven. I can't wait to meet you!

Story
Maggie is 7 years old. I just got divorced. I moved into an apartment and my ex was suppose to keep her in our home. As much as I would miss her, if ur familiar with her breed, apartment living is not for her or fair to her. Well, he ended up not wanting her and so now I have her. I love her but she deserves to live her best life, and this is not it. She needs to be on land with a job and a purpose like she is bred for. Loving her and her loving me is just not enough in this situation unfortunately and I want better for her. She is extremely sweet and loving and loyal but also extremely protective and weary of strangers, again if u know her breed u know what I'm talking about. But, super smart! And trainable for her setting. She will be loyal and loving and ur very best friend. Please give her that chance.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Brave Little Toaster unlike his name came to us very nervous and scared of the world. He quickly warmed up and has shown us his true spunk and joy for life. He has ears that you can see from miles away and he is ready to listen to all your secrets. He loves playgroup with all of his female friends and could spend all hours playing with a companion in the home. We do recommend older children in the home due to his nervousness in new surroundings.
