His tail starts wagging the moment he sees someone coming his way, and he’ll gently nudge you for pets and attention. Bear is very expressive and lets you know exactly how he's feeling with his soulful eyes and talkative nature. He loves to "chat" with his humans, often adding his own playful commentary to the day. This outgoing boy thrives on human interaction and would love a home where he can be part of the action—whether that’s lounging by your side, going for walks, or simply hanging out and being your shadow. True to his Cattle Dog roots, Bear is smart and eager to engage. He’ll do well with a family who can keep him mentally stimulated and offer him lots of love and companionship. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate, and lively companion, Bear just might be the perfect addition to your home. The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A meet-and-greet is required for all shelter dogs if you already have a dog. MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Benson, aka Benny the Cattle Dog mix, is the total package! At approximately 50 pounds and just a year old, Benson still has some wonderful puppy traits but is old enough that he has some training under his belt. Benson is potty trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. He does still have some puppy energy and manners. He can get a little mouthy when playing and needs reminded to play nice. Benson learns quickly and wants to please his people. He enjoys getting his energy out by zooming around the yard with other dogs, playing with squeaky toys, and going for walks. Benson is very loving and enjoys cuddling with his people. He gets along well with everyone including other dogs, cats, and kids of all sizes. Benson would make a great family dog and is eagerly awaiting meeting his forever family! If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. Autumn and her momma Audrey were recently reunited after being adopted out separately from a rural pound. This has been amazing, since they are VERY bonded! Neither was thriving without the other. Our vet's best guess is that Audrey is a cattle dog mix and Autumn looks to maybe have some pug in her! Audrey loves being with and playing with Autumn, but Audrey also enjoys her alone time and LOVES LOVES LOVES to snuggle on the couch (or elsewhere) with her people. She and Autumn are perfect riders on car rides, not anxious at all. They are great with cats, and have shown no signs of food aggregation nor toy aggregation. They are honestly the perfect combination. They love to be around, play and snuggle with you, but if you are busy, they will occupy their time with each other! It's truly a "win win" having them together! These girls would do well with a fenced in area, or running area would be ideal for them so they can romp together when they get the zoomies, or just lay out in the sunshine, enjoying the day. Hi, I'm Poppy I'm a 2.5 year old Fully vaccinated and fixed. I'm the good boy. I would love my own forever home with a family That loves me, I'd like to tell you my story.I'm even kennel trained. I had a family, and I love them, and I was a good boy, I'm not sure but I don't think they love me. One day he all went for a car ride and I was having fun and my family stopped in this big Park and took me out and I turned around. They were gone. I lived outside for a while until this wonderful lady. Seen me and helped me. I was so hungry and so alone I was there for a lot of days I kept watching to see if they would come back but they never. Then one day this lady came to feed the all the dogs that people leave and she took a few of us with her and she goes back from time to time to try to help all the other dogs that the families are have left. God blessed me for her to find me so hot outside. There's no water, no food.. The lady that picked us up. Her name is Angela. She promised me and are my friends that we would never have to go and be alone again. So now we're looking for my forever family..
