Story
Who's looking for an adventure buddy? Rocky is your boy. Rocky is a male 2 ½ year-old Australian Cattle dog blue speckled/Rottweiler mix that weighs 47 pounds. This handsome boy came to us as an owner surrender through no fault of his own. Rocky has a heeler body with a nub for a tail, white stripe on the head and Rottweiler eyebrows. This boy has a high energy level. He will need an active family that can exercise him and take him on all sorts of adventures. He is ready to go on an adventure at any given time. He has an excitement for life and everything in it. Rocky loves car rides and all physical activities. He is reported to be house trained and crate trained. He is also reported to be good with older children, cats, and other dogs. As always, a meet and greet with any resident canines is required. Rocky likes to chase bicycles on walks. Please do your research on herding dogs such as Rocky. They are great dogs with the right owners. Herding dogs are smart as whips and need jobs to keep them mentally and physically active. Rocky is available for our foster to adopt program which means you can foster him in your home until he has completed all his vetting. This includes a microchip, vaccines and heartworm testing. Rocky is already neutered. Please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org to meet Rocky. Rocky’s adoption fee is $160. Story
Charlie is roughly two years old. He is the biggest, sweetest baby. He is great with children. He has been around other dogs before with no issues whatsoever. He has never been around any cats. He is not 100% house-trained. Although he will go outside, if he needs to relieve himself and is not taken out in a timely matter he will use the bathroom in the house. He is an Australian Shepherd mix. He is a hunting dog, therefore he loves to chase small outside animals. Birds, squirrels, ect. Charlie's owner has unfortunately passed away. (My sister). As much as I would love to keep him for her, it is just not an option. I am willing to care for him until the right home/family comes available. Therefore I will not be rushing into giving him up.

Story
To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit http://www.caninelifeline.org/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application.   Ariel is a very pretty 2.5 year-old girl who found herself homeless at an overcrowded county dog shelter and made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she could take her time finding the perfect new home. The shelter listed her as a Heeler mix but we think she may have some Jack Russell Terrier or Beagle in her DNA too. Ariel is as sweet as can be but can be easily overwhelmed in new situations. She can be very timid and fearful meeting new people so it does take her some time to warm up to strangers. Ariel is much more comfortable with people when there is another dog around to boost her confidence so we do want to place her in a home where she'll have a confident buddy to emulate. She enjoys playing with other dogs so would also enjoy having a canine pal to wrestle with. Ariel has been crate-trained and housetrained in her foster home so should be able to pick up the house rules quickly in her new home. Ariel walks quite nicely on a leash but can be easily spooked by odd sights and sounds. She would love a home in a nice quiet neighborhood where she can truly relax and enjoy her life. Ariel goes hiking regularly with her foster mom and Boxer buddy and loves it! Given her shyness, she would do best in a home that has a yard with a secure aboveground fence. It will likely take Ariel some time to get comfortable in a new home but once she bonds with someone, you've got a friend for life! Ariel weighs about 27 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Ariel. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there. Please visit our website at www.caninelifeline.org to see more photos of Ariel and to submit an online application.June 1, 2023, 12:46 pm

To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit http://www.caninelifeline.org/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application.   Scarlet is a beautiful 2 year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix spayed female who found herself homeless at an overcrowded county dog shelter. She made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she could relax in a foster home while searching for her permanent new home. While we don’t have any history on this girl, we have found her to be extremely friendly with people. She loves making new friends and enjoys rolling over for a belly rub if given the chance. Scarlet enjoys playing with toys and does pretty well with a game of fetch. She can be particular about her dog friends though so might do best as the only dog in her new home. Scarlet has had excellent crate manners and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. She enjoys going on walks and will make an excellent trail buddy for an active person or family. Scarlet is a great size at only about 30 pounds (easy to pick up if necessary) and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Story
To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit http://www.caninelifeline.org/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application.   If you love the energy, smarts, and loyalty of Heelers, then our little Rusty is right up your alley! This little guy was found as a stray and when he wasn’t claimed, made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he could take his time finding the perfect new home. Rusty is a fun-loving guy who likes nothing better than playing chase and wrestling with other dogs. He would certainly enjoy having a live-in canine play buddy who can match his energy level or regular trips to doggie daycare to maintain his dog social skills. In his foster home, he loves playing with some of his fellow foster buddies in a fenced backyard so a yard with a secure aboveground fence would be perfect for him. Rusty needs an active family who loves to get out and hike, run, or walk daily and is able to take him along. Once playtime is over, he does settle down nicely in his crate. He’s a smart guy who picks up new routines quickly so with some consistent positive supervision in his new home should soon have the house rules mastered. Rusty wasn’t very interested in having his pictures taken—he wanted to get back to his walk and playing with his friends. He is even cuter in person with his big Corgi-type ears and pretty Heeler markings. Rusty is going to need some daily practice on a leash as he’s very excited to go for a walk but he should soon be walking like a pro. Rusty weighs about 23 pounds and his adoption fee is $350. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped.
Cece is a sweet 1 year-old Heeler/Lab mix who really deserves a break. This girl was living in a bad situation. She was allowed to run loose and even though she’s only about a year-old, she’s already had a litter of puppies. Fortunately, her owner surrendered her to another rescuer so she would have the chance to live a long and happy life in a safe environment. From there, she came to Canine Lifeline so she could enjoy life in a foster home while searching for a permanent home. Cece is very dog and people-friendly. She has had little training to date and does like to jump up for attention. She’s very food motivated though and was working on the sit command while we were taking her photos and catching on quickly. Cece has done very well with crate-training in her foster home so should be able to pick up the house rules quickly in her new home. She can climb out of a 3 foot-tall pen so will need a tall fence in her new home or to be kept on a leash at all times. Cece needs work on her leash skills but with some daily practice in her new home, she’ll soon be very responsive to her handler. A Gentle Leader is a great tool to help a dog with leash manners too. Cece definitely aims to please so we can’t wait to see her living her life as a truly pampered pup from here on out. Cece weighs about 30 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped.
