MEDICAL: up to date on Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella and Lymes; Full blood panel looks great; on heartworm and flea/tick prevention PERSONALITY: Are you ready for a spunky, loveable lifetime companion? If so, check out Emma and look no further! Emma is a young Cattle Dog mix (about 1 ½ - 2 years) and weighs about 22 pounds. She gets along with other dogs and loves people—a lot!. True to her breed, Emma loves to play and explore and would do well with someone who will spend lots of time with her and keep her well exercised. Emma came to us in the end of January as a stray from Cleveland. She was very pregnant and gave birth two weeks later to five beautiful puppies! Emma was a GREAT mom, but now it’s time for her to finally get to be the center of someone’s attention as she LOVES people and would gladly cuddle with you on the couch as much as should would go for a nice long walk! Emma is spayed, housebroken and crate trained. If you are interested please contact info.gratefulpaws@gmail.com or fill out an application at https://www.gratefulpawsrescue.com/adopt.html

Story
Dumped on the side of a busy freeway along with her siblings and 3 other litters, Ariel has seen more hardship in her young life than puppy playtime and good meals. She and the rest of puppies were put on a truck out of TX to have a better chance at life outside of overcrowded shelters and streets overrun with strays. We are so honored to be part of Ariel’s life journey. Still a little shy due to under socialization, Ariel takes all of 5 minutes to make you her most trusted and loved person in the world. A little coaxing and baby voice and Ariel is all over you

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Let me introduce you to Annie ❤️   Annie is a beautiful Red Heeler with a heart to match. While she’s been raising her puppies, she’s also been showing everyone exactly who she is—and it’s something special.   Her foster mom says if she didn’t already have five dogs of her own, Annie would be staying. That alone tells you everything you need to know.   Annie has all the best traits of a cattle dog—she’s smart, attentive, loyal, and deeply connected to her people. She’s the kind of dog who wants to be part of your world, whether that’s helping you with daily life or simply being by your side.   And underneath that classic Heeler intelligence is a very sweet, gentle soul. She’s loving, steady, and has done an incredible job raising her puppies.   Annie is ready for a home of her own now—a place where she’s not just the mama, but someone’s heart dog.   If you know and love the spirit of a good cattle dog, Annie may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for.   Apply to adopt Annie and give this wonderful girl the life she deserves. Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans. We try to post videos for each pet so you can really get to know them. Whether it’s a hike, a game of fetch, or zoomies in the yard, she’s always up for it.She’s got a permanent smile on her face (yes, it’s as adorable as it sounds) and a personality that lights up every room she enters. Story
Meet Bullet! This adorable thing is a male Cattle Dog/Mountain Cur Mix DOB 9/26/25, who currently weighs 26 pounds. He is all things puppy! Clumsy, nosy, naps alot, no sense of personal space and did we mention adorable?! We are predicting he will be less than 50 pounds when full grown, but we have not seen mom or dad, so there is no guarantee. Meet Bullet Australian Cattle Dogs and possible Mountain Cur mixes, about 5 months old, and packed with smart personalities and energy. These are not couch potato puppies. They are smart, driven, and thrive with structure, training, and consistency. A home that understands active working breeds will be their sweet spot. Both puppies have been around kids and other animals and do great with other dogs. Cats are a maybe. They think chasing is a fun game, so a cat savvy or cat free home would be best. They are very food motivated, eager to learn, and love having a job or task to focus on. They have been in foster care since before Christmas and have done really well. They are crate trained, have very few accidents in the house, and walk nicely on a leash. Their fosters have put in the work and it shows. Bullet and Indra are fully vetted and ready to go. These two have waited long enough and are truly ready for families who will commit to their training, give them outlets for their energy, and make them part of daily life. In return, you get loyal, fun, intelligent dogs who want nothing more than to learn and belong. They are mostly house trained, but are puppies so you have to keep up on it and expect a possible accident Adoption fee is $400 All Ashland County Humane Society animals' adoption fees include ~spay/neuter ~micro-chip ~de-worming ~vaccinations, including rabies ~heartworm prevention If you are interested in adopting this dog, please visit: www.ashlandhumane.org/adoption-application (copy and paste link to address bar) for a printable application. Complete and email back to applications@AshlandHumane.org We are an all volunteer-based organization that does not have a building or a staff, only 8 members with jobs and families, trying to make a difference. We do not have the volunteer manpower to show animals to non-approved applicants. If your application gets screened and approved, we will contact you to arrange a meet and greet and you can decide if this is the right pet for you. Thank you for understanding! We definitely want all our rescued animals to find great families! Thank you for your interest in a Rescue Pet! Adopt, don't shop! The post will be removed when we get several applications to give our volunteer time to screen them. Adoption Fee is $400

Story
TEDDY 5YRS 33LBS MALE AUS CATTLE DOG LISA 3YR 21 LBS FEMALE MIX MUST HAVE ACD/HERDING BREED EXPERIENCE BONDED PAIR-Ever wanted a dog for you and a dog for your sig other but were afraid of clashing personalities? Well, not here because these two love each other, a LOT, so at least you know they get along perfectly and there is one for each of you. 2x the love!!!!!!!!!!!!! (And man, are they CUTE!) They travel often in the car with me for over an hour at a time - they do ride crated. Load up easy and ride quietly- unless we go through a drive through then Lisa has opinions about what she wants too. She likes to play ball, but not as intense as Teddy and will just let him get it and go find something else to do. They play and wrestle with each other and other dogs. Not overly rough but will get on ground with each other. They love to run laps in the yard chasing each other. They leave my uninterested dogs alone, as there is always someone else to play with. Lisa did not get along with my 1 male foster - just a little 10 pounder . Not sure who to started the war, but I did not leave them loose with each other * no actual fight/injury/contact ever occured. There was alot of noise 1 time, and they would grumble at each other when passing by each other's crates/run at work. Teddy is pretty easy going but doesn't like to be corrected. He will get bossy -verbal and pin someone who tries to But a sharp HEY from me and he will stop and walk away * never has been a fight or injury. Loves to play fetch and the other dogs do not challenge him to get the ball away from him. He would definitely destroy a stuffed toy if given the chance. They both love to chew on antlers/ nylabones/Benebone etc Teddy is a super cuddler and happy to hang on the couch or bed. Lisa loves attention too but takes a bit more to settle down at first. Both settle quickly and Quietly in a crate. They are both jumpers and when seeking attention. They have gotten better, but would need to be reminded of their manners going forward. We do not require a fenced BUT they would need a secure area to be able to run in and burn off energy weekly. Crate trained and housebroken   This animal is up to date on all shots, dewormed, and spayed/neutered. They have been heartworm tested (negative) and on prevention.  The adoption fee is $400.00 for the pair.
