Meet Gourd! Or as we like to call him, Cheesy Gourdita Crunch Supreme. Gourd is a sweet guy who lives up to his name because he loves food! Treats are the way to his heart, especially cheese! Gourd is a timid fella who can take a while to warm up to people. He has made a lot of progress through the ASPCA's Behavioral Rehabilitation Center and is learning to be brave! He'll need a patient home that gives him time to decompress and help him learn that the world isn't so scary! He likes to go on walks and does well with calmer dogs who don't overwhelm him. Gourd's heart is as big as his ears and all he needs is for someone to give him a chance! With a little bit of TLC (tacos, love and care), this goofy guy could become your new best friend. Hi, I'm Poppy I'm a 2.5 year old Fully vaccinated and fixed. I'm the good boy. I would love my own forever home with a family That loves me, I'd like to tell you my story.I'm even kennel trained. I had a family, and I love them, and I was a good boy, I'm not sure but I don't think they love me. One day he all went for a car ride and I was having fun and my family stopped in this big Park and took me out and I turned around. They were gone. I lived outside for a while until this wonderful lady. Seen me and helped me. I was so hungry and so alone I was there for a lot of days I kept watching to see if they would come back but they never. Then one day this lady came to feed the all the dogs that people leave and she took a few of us with her and she goes back from time to time to try to help all the other dogs that the families are have left. God blessed me for her to find me so hot outside. There's no water, no food.. The lady that picked us up. Her name is Angela. She promised me and are my friends that we would never have to go and be alone again. So now we're looking for my forever family.. My breed comes from Australia but the police found me wandering in Kent. Can you imagine someone dumping a beautiful girl like me? I was scared and lonely. Happier now at my foster home which has dogs and a big yard in which we can all adventure. However, I really want my own person again. I promise to love you with all my heart. I need a strong leader to be my boss. I had to learn hard knocks on the streets. I need to not be in charge anymore. My foster mom always tells me how loveable I am. I’m house trained, not food or toy aggressive, and love car rides. It was hard to know who to trust when I was alone, so I am timid at first. My other issue is reacting to other dogs until I know ok. Because of my timidity and reactiveness, I don’t give a good first impression but if you give me a chance, I’ll make a very loyal and loving companion. Foster mom Donna here. Addy is a special girl who needs a special owner to bring out her best. Someone who can assure her when fearful. She has high energy outside but calm inside. She can be independent but also affectionate. She likes everyone including dogs BUT not instantly. Takes a few minutes for her to calm and be playful. I leave her alone in the house with no crate and she’s been good. Her ideal owner will love the outdoors and have a yard where she can run free and explore. We leave her off leash and she’s been good at recall but a fence would be ideal. Summer's still mastering the art of leash walking, but her foster parent is on the case. She's a pro car rider and gets along with other dogs, though she might play queen bee, so slow intros are key. With her herding instincts, she's not the best roommate for cats or tiny tots. She's a bundle of affection and a real smarty-paws! Summer's got a heart as big as her puppy eyes! Summer's adoption fee is $350.00 Australian Cattle Dogs are brainy, fiercely loyal, and packed with energy, making them stellar sidekicks for active families who can keep up with their boundless spirit and love for learning.
