Story
AUDEN FEMALE 3YRS 43LBS Auden and Thisby(now adopted) were picked up by there local dog warden while loose. When owner was contacted she didnt want to pay the fee and they were relinquished. Auden is a sweet spunky girl who loves attention from people. She is a bit nervous around dogs and feels the need to correct them if they are being to wild. She seems to do really well with mle dogs, but only tolerates my ACD girls (who are both pretty rowdy) We have not seen her with children or cats , so we will not be placing her in a home with either at this point. She is crate trained and working on telling you when she needs to potty - is very good about going potty when she is outside. She enjoys her walks , but likes to keep them short. Foster describes her as a low energy, quiet, and is enjoying having her in her home. Being fostered in Akron OH This animal is up to date on all shots, dewormed, and spayed/neutered. They have been heartworm tested (negative) and on prevention.  The adoption fee is $275.00 If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an application. https://www.ajssearchandrescue.org/adoption-applicationJune 5, 2023, 10:21 am

Story
To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit http://www.caninelifeline.org/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application.   Ariel is a very pretty 2.5 year-old girl who found herself homeless at an overcrowded county dog shelter and made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she could take her time finding the perfect new home. The shelter listed her as a Heeler mix but we think she may have some Jack Russell Terrier or Beagle in her DNA too. Ariel is as sweet as can be but can be easily overwhelmed in new situations. She can be very timid and fearful meeting new people so it does take her some time to warm up to strangers. Ariel is much more comfortable with people when there is another dog around to boost her confidence so we do want to place her in a home where she'll have a confident buddy to emulate. She enjoys playing with other dogs so would also enjoy having a canine pal to wrestle with. Ariel has been crate-trained and housetrained in her foster home so should be able to pick up the house rules quickly in her new home. Ariel walks quite nicely on a leash but can be easily spooked by odd sights and sounds. She would love a home in a nice quiet neighborhood where she can truly relax and enjoy her life. Ariel goes hiking regularly with her foster mom and Boxer buddy and loves it! Given her shyness, she would do best in a home that has a yard with a secure aboveground fence. It will likely take Ariel some time to get comfortable in a new home but once she bonds with someone, you've got a friend for life! Ariel weighs about 27 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Ariel. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there. To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit http://www.caninelifeline.org/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application.   Scarlet is a beautiful 2 year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix spayed female who found herself homeless at an overcrowded county dog shelter. She made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she could relax in a foster home while searching for her permanent new home. While we don’t have any history on this girl, we have found her to be extremely friendly with people. She loves making new friends and enjoys rolling over for a belly rub if given the chance. Scarlet enjoys playing with toys and does pretty well with a game of fetch. She can be particular about her dog friends though so might do best as the only dog in her new home. Scarlet has had excellent crate manners and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. She enjoys going on walks and will make an excellent trail buddy for an active person or family. Scarlet is a great size at only about 30 pounds (easy to pick up if necessary) and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Story
To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit http://www.caninelifeline.org/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application.   Cece is a sweet 1 year-old Heeler/Lab mix who really deserves a break. This girl was living in a bad situation. She was allowed to run loose and even though she’s only about a year-old, she’s already had a litter of puppies. Fortunately, her owner surrendered her to another rescuer so she would have the chance to live a long and happy life in a safe environment. From there, she came to Canine Lifeline so she could enjoy life in a foster home while searching for a permanent home. Cece is very dog and people-friendly. She has had little training to date and does like to jump up for attention. She’s very food motivated though and was working on the sit command while we were taking her photos and catching on quickly. Cece has done very well with crate-training in her foster home so should be able to pick up the house rules quickly in her new home. She can climb out of a 3 foot-tall pen so will need a tall fence in her new home or to be kept on a leash at all times. Cece needs work on her leash skills but with some daily practice in her new home, she’ll soon be very responsive to her handler. A Gentle Leader is a great tool to help a dog with leash manners too. Cece definitely aims to please so we can’t wait to see her living her life as a truly pampered pup from here on out. Cece weighs about 30 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. Story
To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit http://www.caninelifeline.org/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application.   Sammy is a handsome 1.5 Heeler mix with a short tail who found himself homeless at an overcrowded rural county dog shelter. We don’t know anything about his pre-shelter life but he can be a little reserved when meeting new people and other dogs. He warms up quickly though once he feels comfortable in a new situation and will soon be your best buddy. Sammy seems to prefer his canine companions on the calmer side so would likely do fine in a home where there’s a mature but confident dog to show him the ropes. He would also be fine as the only dog in the home as he would enjoy lots of attention from his human friends. Young kids would likely be overwhelming for him so a more mature, quiet home would be to his liking. Sammy has done well with crate training in his foster home so we expect he’ll pick up the house rules without difficulty in his new home. He enjoys going for a walk and will make an excellent trail or hiking buddy for an active person. Sammy weighs about 35 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. Sammy is neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. Story
Ringo is a super sweet and friendly boy, ready for his forever home! This guy makes friends everywhere he goes with his silly, happy personality! He is almost two years old and full of fun! But Ringo is also snuggly and enjoys being close to you getting pets and love. In fact, once you start petting him, he melts right into you! He is also very smart! He knows sit, down, has a great recall and is house and crate trained. He loves walks and does wonderful on a leash and on car rides. Unfortunately, Ringo did not have the best life before coming to Maggie's Mission. He has strong resource guarding of high value items, including food. Because of this, we recommend Ringo go to a home without children or with older children only. Similarly, although Ringo absolutely LOVES playing with other dog pals, he'd do best as the only pet in a home. This will limit the need for constant resource guarding mitigation. But play dates with playful doggos and no high value items would be his dream come true! Fill out an application at www.maggiesmissionrescue.org
