Mousey is an adorable dog and will make a perfect family pet! She loves all other dogs and romps and plays all day at the ranch with many other breeds...kind of like a dog park in reverse. She came from a very high-kill shelter in California and had been dumped as a puppy in the hard streets of a high-crime area. She had one friend in the world, Sopita, who was also saved by Dogtown. When she first got to the ranch, she could not be separated from her friend, but she quickly found a hundred other buddies and learned that life can be a good thing after all. Little Lucy was saved being given away in front of a store to just anyone. Luckily our good friend and fellow rescuer at Dogtown Ranch scooped up Little Lucy. All of her littermates died, but thanks to Dogtown, Lucy has survived. She is super gentle and a very calm dog for a little puppy. They are not quite out of the woods yet and will need a few more days to complete treatment before leaving the Parvo ward; but that doesn’t mean they can’t start getting the word out that they need an adopter lined up for when they are ready to leave on 4/29/25! He's now an outgoing boy who's gaining confidence every day. He came to foster with no leash walking skills, and figured it out quickly. Now he's prancing through the neighborhood like he owns the place and loves meeting new people he sees, including kids. They tell him he's beautiful, and he's starting to believe it. At home, this wiggly boy loves being petted and cuddled, and he has fun playing with his stuffed toys. Kimmel loves playing with his foster siblings but gives them space when they need it. Kimmel came to foster to work on his skin. He may have a rather unique face, but it's not contagious (other than the smiles from his cuteness).
