Fred is a three year old red healer. He is responsive to treat training has great recall and is kind to cats, dogs, kids, and friendly with strangers. Fred has a few bad habits including demand barking and jumping on people to ask for pets. Fred is a sweet active dog that needs a lot of space to run and needs a caregiver who has experiance with austrailan cattles dogs. Fred has never been chained up nor had negitive reinforcements and would not respond well to that sort of training. Fred is fixed, micro chipped and up to date on his vacines. Update from the Foster Home: "I wanted to share a little update on Quirky. She is settling in well and is the world's biggest cuddle bug. She loves to have her head in my lap while I watch TV and to hang near me when I work from home. We are working on walking on a leash and basic training commands." Are you not like other girls? Have you never quite fit in with the crowd? Quirky understands and is the girl for you! She is a sweet girl once she feels confident with you and her personality really has the chance to shine through. She is allergic to fleas, so it is important that she stays on year round flea prevention. A medical waiver addressing her flea allergies will need to be signed at the time of her adoption. She may be dog selective, so slow and controlled introductions to any other doggy friends will benefit Quirky and them. Boba was born February 2022. He is a great dog and absolutely loves kids and people. He is house trained, stays out of the kitchen and dining room, stays off furniture, sits, stays, waits for his food until command is given, rolls over, and plays dead. I have been trying to work with him on not jumping on people to greet but without success. He seems to not hear me in presence of others. He will walk right by your side during walks unless there is another person trying to greet him or he sees another animal. Then he’ll get jumpy and wants to go greet. He does seem to have a bit of a sensitive stomach so strictly dog food is recommended and treats are to be given sparingly.
