Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. CASEY is a beautiful 48# Red Heeler mix. His given birthday is 9/19/24. He has a docked tail and a beautiful, thick coat. He will love the cold weather including the snow. He still pulls a little on the leash because he wants to sniff everywhere he goes but we’re working on that. He is crate trained and loves the other dogs. He has seen my cats and was more curious than aggressive. One hissed and swung at him and he went the other direction. We know nothing of his background. I don’t believe he was a stray off the street. He loves people, affection, and treats. He is at least part Australian Cattle Dog…very smart because of the Border Collie in the background. Can’t tell of any other breed…only a DNA test will tell. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
I am forced to re-home my dog, Winston, due to a divorce and my job creating an unworkable situation for him. I rescued him from the Wenatchee Humane Society about three years ago. They suspect he was a COVID pet (born ~March 2020), and as such, he has separation anxiety. He came in as a stray, and is flinchy due to what I can only guess was his prior owner's physically abusing him. He has an extremely calm and poised demeanor, gets along great with other dogs (lots of dog park socialization), and would be equally as happy chasing a ball as "just being close to you." I suspect that he is an Australian cattle dog and border collie mix, but I haven't had a DNA test done. He is up to date on his shots, and very healthy. In fact, I would go as far to say that he's very pampered - as he deserves.

Story
We adopted him from an abused shelter and he became our favorite pet and companion and became our ESA. He is a very loyal guard dog who will attack anybody who comes near you or your property. Unfortunately, because he was trained to be a guard dog, he has issues with strangers, especially larger males, and he takes some time to adapt. He seems to do much better with women. He fairs well as an outside dog and has a thick coat, as long as there is a small heaterHis instincts are to herd, and kill anything that is a threat to a farm, including coyotes and even mice. Because he is a wolf breed, and young, he is always trying to find his place in the “pack”, which doesn’t mix well with young children. I wouldn’t adopt him unless your children are 12 or older. We are trying to have a child, and we just don’t think he will be suited for us. We recommend a good space to run and play. He is hyper, loving, loyal and trained. We will travel to help assimilate him.

Story
Australian Shepherd/ Lab is the closest breed we can guess on her. Sorry we dont have good photos of sweet Sally. She was in foster in Texas since a puppy! She is totally trained with playing with a playgroup of dogs several times/day. Finally her turn at about 2 years to be adopted. ! House and potty trained!!! woof woof. Super affectionate sweet loving dog. She is a little shy at first, but opens up quickly. Has done great with other all other dogs even young puppies when done with proper introductions. She is with a rescue that is friends of Lufkin TX Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter friends. loving sweet sweet pup t is nearly impossible to say the breeds but her brother did have some Great Pyrenese in his DNA test. All of her siblings were adopted as puppies, its long been Sally's time to find her FOREVER home. https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application/ If interested we would have you speak with her rescuer. Many dogs are impossible to say the breeds but it is anyone's guess. As we know, mutts statistically speaking will live longer and have less vet bills!. All of our Lufkin Kurth Texas dogs were hand selected and are literally their favorites. Everyone who has adopted adores their dogs. She will totally win you over. , Please do apply!!! All our dogs are spay/neutered, current on DHPP and rabies shots, microchipped, tested hw negative, so all of that is done. Our adoptions include professional dog rescue transport to WA and health certificates (vet visit just prior to coming to WA). Any questions, please email us at shaynesrescue@gmail.com Best to include your phone number and good times to call too!
