Story
Charger was saved in TX and we have no foster for him in the PNW:( Charger is almost 2 years old. He was neutered when he came into rescue. He is very dog and human friendly. Active when released from kennel but calms down after tiring out. Dog and people friendly. Likely not good with cats but we do not know. All dogs come with a 5 day trial period. Please ask us how that works. He can be transported to the PNW (and other places in the US) https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ Charger is not physically at Pet Central SATX rescue but is with a person who fosters for this rescue and they would come through this rescue as she has met Charger.

Story
Merle is a 6 year old cattle dog. He is deaf. He hears some sounds. He is extremly intelligent and readily learns new tricks and hand signals. He is low energy compared to other healers. He is great with other dogs. He loves a good buddy to play with. He can coexist with cats but he can become "playful" if a cat engages with him. Our family is expanding and we live in the city. The perfect home for merle is with an owner who has children above the age of 5. He is great with children. Has shown no signs of aggressive behavior. He is about 45-50 lbs and can be clumsy and accidently bump children over. Space to roam is prefered. He loves a good fence run! Merle is an awesome companion and friend. He is house trained and crate trained. He also does not get on furnature. Our families life is changing and we are sad to part with out sweet boy but in the long run it is what is best for him. We are open to any questions. Our primary concern is that he is taken in to a great home.

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. In foster in W WA ROXY is an exceptional dog...DOB: 10/30/23... not very old but the sweetest ever. She has a magic touch that whoever looks at her falls in love. She was initially found tied to a post outside a trucking company in the heat of the day with no water or food. A good Samaritan found her . She quickly went to the vet and was treated her for heat exhaustion. From there good food and medical care turned her into a very special dog. She does very well in a crate if not in it for much of the time; and totally leaves my cats alone. She is barely curious about them. We think she is fairly house trained, she has not pottied in her crate. Roxy is happy and playful. She will probably get up to about 30# when grown. Roxy will make a great family dog. We would NOT recommend her for very YOUNG children, she is nervous around them. She is very trainable and wants to please. She is a typical puppy with puppy energy, she is NOT a couch potato. What her foster in Olympia, WA says. "She's the easiest dog we've have fostered. She wants to play a lot but will go chill out on the couch on her own if she doesn't get attention. A few times she's picked up a shoe or slipper but drops it with a gentle "no". She's timid with strangers, especially men but warms up to them quickly with a little time and treats. She has high prey drive for squirrels and requires an alert handler on walks where squirrels can make an appearance. She learns quickly and already understands stay, sit and off. She has some heel nipping and weaving behavior typical of aussies/working breeds but it’s not bad at all, though perhaps? someone bothered by a dog constantly underfoot might get annoyed by her attentiveness. She will attach to her humans even more so if there are no other dogs around. She's timid in new surroundings - we're lengthening our walks as she becomes more comfortable. She indicates when she wants to go home by slowing down or stopping completely then is full speed ahead when we turn for home. I wish I could have a dog long term I would happily keep her! I know someone will appreciate this fabulous pup. Check out our YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/6rVPxmU7Emk Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention.
