Story
Pls apply to adopt. In foster in Seattle, WA https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ In TX the rescuer had five cats that Cocoa did fine with. Cocoa is a wonderful puppy approx 1.5 or so years old. She deserves a good family to love her. She has been going through obedience training and is getting good with basic commands (sit, stay, down, wait, etc.), is getting better about walking without pulling, and is a loveable goofball when she gets to play with her toys. We think she would do well in a home with at least another dog or someone who has experience with dogs who will socialize her well . Her Australian Cattle Dog shines through in her personality and her energy. She does need three walks a day, and play time, or she gets restless. She can get along with most other dogs but would be totally fine in a home as an only dog.

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. COCO-2 is a delightful dog that is smart, active, and loves attention. She is about 1 1/2 yrs old and we think she is an Australian Cattle Dog mixed with Boxer...best guess. She has not had a lot of training...manners/behavior. She has been outside most of the time. The few times she has come in she has been calm and inquisitive. I did introduce her to one of my cats and she backed off quickly. She was more afraid of the cat than the cat was of her. This is not a guarantee that she won't pester a cat after she becomes comfortable in the house but she at least doesn't have the "prey" drive to turn the cat into dinner. She has been receiving leash training of which she is doing very well... walking calmly, not pulling. She loves attention... hugs and kisses. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
Boba was born February 2022. He is a great dog and absolutely loves kids and people. He is house trained, stays out of the kitchen and dining room, stays off furniture, sits, stays, waits for his food until command is given, rolls over, and plays dead. I have been trying to work with him on not jumping on people to greet but without success. He seems to not hear me in presence of others. He will walk right by your side during walks unless there is another person trying to greet him or he sees another animal. Then he’ll get jumpy and wants to go greet. He does seem to have a bit of a sensitive stomach so strictly dog food is recommended and treats are to be given sparingly.

Story
My wife and I added Fable to our family in Summer 2015. She was our first daughter. She was born 07 April, 2015. She is eight (8) years old now and in excellent health. She is fun, energetic, family focused, and extremely kind to our young girls. We are looking for an owner that will love her as much as we have. It would be an amazing gift to find her a new home that will take her outdoors and on adventures. We have slowed down a lot since we had our second daughter (1 year old). She would love a large area to play; whether that’s in a large back yard, on farmland, or on local outdoor hiking trails. My new work is taking me overseas and will make their lives unbearably constrained. We really want her and her brother, Legend, to go to a home that will give her love, adventure, freedom, and as many well deserved belly rubs as possible.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
My wife and I adopted Legend in 2015. He has always been our big snuggle bear. He adores all humans and isn’t afraid to show it. He is kind, caring, and attentive. He is 8 years old and his birthday is 22 August, 2015. We are looking for a family with space, time, and an outdoor sense of adventure for him. It’s what he had with us when we were younger and less overwhelmed. It’s what he deserves. He will make any runner, hiker, farmer, outdoorsman, or other adventurer incredibly happy. He is happiest playing in big spaces. And he will never run out of energy or enthusiasm. We love him so much. My work in the Army is taking us overseas. Our lovely dogs will not have large enough spaces or freedom as we travel. We really want Legend to have a adventurous, outdoor second half of his life filled with love, play, and as many belly rubs as humanly possible. We don’t want any money, just an owner or family of owners that will give him love and affection.
