Story
We adopted him from an abused shelter and he became our favorite pet and companion and became our ESA. He is a very loyal guard dog who will attack anybody who comes near you or your property. Unfortunately, because he was trained to be a guard dog, he has issues with strangers, especially larger males, and he takes some time to adapt. He seems to do much better with women. He fairs well as an outside dog and has a thick coat, as long as there is a small heaterHis instincts are to herd, and kill anything that is a threat to a farm, including coyotes and even mice. Because he is a wolf breed, and young, he is always trying to find his place in the “pack”, which doesn’t mix well with young children. I wouldn’t adopt him unless your children are 12 or older. We are trying to have a child, and we just don’t think he will be suited for us. We recommend a good space to run and play. He is hyper, loving, loyal and trained. We will travel to help assimilate him.

Story
Meet Taki, a resilient and adorable GSD-Heeler mix puppy who was rescued from the harsh cold of Yakima after being dumped with her siblings and mom. At just a few months old, she’s already showing her clever Heeler smarts mixed with the loyal protectiveness of a German Shepherd. Expected to grow to 40-50 lbs, Taki is a bundle of energy who’s friendly once she warms up—though she’s a bit timid at first, a few treats and gentle pets win her over quickly. She’s started her vaccine series and is making great progress with kennel training. Taki would thrive in an active home where she can explore, play, and learn alongside a patient family ready to give her the love she deserves after her tough start.

Story
Cheeto is a charming GSD-Heeler mix puppy who’s overcome a chilly abandonment in Yakima alongside her mom and siblings. With mom now spayed and safe, Cheeto is focused on finding her own happy ending. Expected to mature to 40-50 lbs, she inherits the quick wit of a Heeler and the steadfast companionship of a GSD. Friendly at heart but a touch timid initially, she responds wonderfully to positive reinforcement and is progressing well in kennel training while starting her vaccines. Cheeto would be an ideal match for a nurturing home that values her gentle spirit and is excited to watch her grow into a confident, loving companion.

Story
Ruffle is a sweet GSD-Heeler mix pup with a heart as big as her future paws! Rescued from the freezing streets of Yakima where she and her family were abandoned, she’s grateful for every warm bed and kind word. This little girl, projected to reach 40-50 lbs full-grown, combines the intelligence of a Heeler with the devoted nature of a GSD. She’s very friendly but starts off shy, blossoming with encouragement and playtime. Up-to-date on her initial vaccines and working diligently on kennel training, Ruffle is eager to find a forever home that offers stability, adventures, and plenty of cuddles to help her forget her early hardships.

Story
Harlee is a 5-year-old Red Heeler/Shar Pei mix. She is house-trained, well-mannered, and loves to play fetch especially with a Frisbee. She is calm indoors, playful outside, and would do best in a quieter home with older kids or adults. While she gets along with other dogs, she tends to try and herd them, so she would likely do better as an only pet. Harlee has ongoing allergy issues that cause her to itch, especially in the spring and summer. Her skin also produces oils that can lead to odor. These issues aren’t fully managed but can be helped with regular baths and occasional Benadryl. Anyone considering her should be prepared to stay on top of her basic skin care needs. We are rehoming her because we have a one-year-old and one on the way. We both work full-time we simply don’t have the time or attention she needs. My son and I also have dog allergies that have progressed despite using air purifiers and limiting her access to different rooms.

Story
Introducing Dorito, the playful survivor from a group of pups dumped in Yakima’s cold with their mom. This GSD-Heeler mix is full of potential, likely topping out at 40-50 lbs as an adult, blending the herding instincts of a Heeler with the alert guardianship of a German Shepherd. Dorito is incredibly friendly after an initial timid phase, loving belly rubs and games of fetch. She’s begun her vaccine protocol and is steadily improving with kennel training, showing her adaptability and eagerness to please. Perfect for a family who enjoys outdoor activities, Dorito is ready to trade her rough beginnings for a life of loyalty, fun, and endless tail wags.

Story
Mocha is a mini Australian shepherd. She is 4, birthday is 10/18/21. We got her from a breeder when she was 8 weeks old. Mocha needs a loving home with a lot of space to run around. She needs a home without pets, she does alright with female dogs but not male dogs or cats. She doesn't do well with children. We are looking for a new home as she doesn't like our toddler and we need to keep them apart, so she isn't getting the love she deserves. She can do a few tricks, but never learned how to properly walk on a leash. She is a smart dog, so I know she can be trained with the right owner that has plenty of patience.
