We adopted Bella from the Humane Society when she was four months old, and she has grown into a sweet, clever, and energetic dog. I’m looking for a home that can give her the care she truly needs including plenty of exercise, consistent routines, and social time with other dogs. Bella can be a little skittish at first, but once she trusts you, she becomes a very affectionate, clingy companion. She is extremely smart and learns quickly when someone gives her patience and guidance. She would thrive with an active family or someone familiar with working or high-energy breeds. I want to make sure she goes to a safe, stable, and loving home.

Story
Biscuit is a sweet, intelligent, and adventurous 3-year-old Australian Shepherd. We brought him home from a breeder as a puppy, and he loves swimming, exploring the yard, long walks, and all things outdoors. Due to a major life change, I am looking to rehome him through no fault of his own. Biscuit needs a child-free home with a couple or single adult, ideally a male, who can give him structure, patience, and continued training. He struggles with pretty severe anxiety and can get overwhelmed in new situations or on walks, so he needs someone dedicated on training and working with him in new environments and help him feel safe. The ideal adopter would have a yard and does not live in an apartment. He can live with another dog after a slow introduction, but dog parks are not a good fit. Biscuit is very loved, and I want the best match for him. He will be ready for adoption after January 1st.

Story
Meet Odie! Odie is one of many dogs we have saved from rural Upson County lately. Being a very small, rural shelter the dogs are only held for a very short stray hold before they are at risk of euthanasia. Thankfully they have a very dedicated group of volunteers who work tirelessly to try to get the dogs to safety before their time runs out Odie is about a year and a half old and not even 35 lbs - what a great age and size! It's hard to know for sure what breed he is given that he was a stray but those tell tale spots could mean there is some heeler or maybe even bird dog in there. We prefer to think of him as 100% purebred Rescue Mutt - the best kid of dog there is! Odie is great with other dogs and has learned to really love his crate as well. He's a super social guy who was a big hit at one of our adoption events recently - stopping to greet all of the new people he came upon. This well rounded lovebug will make an amazing addition to one lucky family! Interested in adopting? WHERE ARE OUR BASKETBALL FANS?! Here at RMG we are HUGE fans of the Atlanta Hawks and are already gearing up for pre-season to get underway in about 6 weeks! One of our recent additions is especially excited! Asa, named after Asa Newell UGA alumni and current Hawks rookie and first round draft pick, is a gorgeous Australian Shepherd/Catahoula Leopard dog mix who is about a year old. Like his namesake, Asa is young, energetic, and LOVES playing ball! Although our Asa does prefer tennis balls to basketballs. Aside from being fun and incredibly handsome, Asa is also super loving and crate trained! He would truly make an amazing running or hiking partner and will thrive in an active family! So can we find Asa his person in time to be able to catch the season opener in his very own Forever Home?
