Story
In Kennesaw, GA - Kazz is a two year old, 60 lb male Australian Shepherd. He is utd on his vaccines, neutered, microchipped and on heartworm/flea/tick preventio. Kazz is a great example of never judge a book by it's cover. Between his deep bark, haunting stare, and size, he gives off the impression of being a force to recon with, but he is really just a big goof. He is still such a puppy. Eager to learn. Heart of a lion. Gentle as a bulldozer Needs a confident owner who will not let his rugged good looks deceive them so someone familiar with the breed and training is preferred as he will need continued training. He is amazing on a leash but will eat said leash if left to his own devices.Does not mind crowds but prefers not to be handled by strangers. He is a great buddy at soccer games and outdoor events, but does not have any qualms about pooping in public. He is dog friendly and has only been around a cat in the vet's office and did not react. He needs a home with no kids, or at least ones that are grown. He is being fostered in Kennesaw, GA. A meet and greet is required. Here is the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforrs.

Jade is a two-year-old, 43-pound Aussie mix tied out and left at a shelter built and managed by a good Samaritan. Luckily, the person who left her contacted the shelter and told them she was there so they could take her in. Jade is a sweet and cuddly girl who seems to get along with everyone and is clean in her kennel. We are hoping to find her forever home this time around. If you want to adopt or foster to adopt Jade, please click the “Adopt” button and submit an Adoption application. If you want to become an ALR foster volunteer only, please submit a Foster application by clicking the “Foster” button. ##1975735##

I have had Bella since she was 7 weeks old, that was 16 years ago. She is doing very well for her age. I am about to start a new job that will have me on the road and I can't take her with me. She is a good dog but she is aging and starting to show some weakness in her back legs. She has a great disposition and needs someone to baby her during her final years.

Story
Introducing this incredibly beautiful boy named Diesel! Diesel landed at the shelter through no fault of his own on 2/8. His former owner decided Diesel just wasn't worth the time and effort to keep him in the family. Our hearts break in a million pieces for this awesome baby. Diesel didn't deserve being abandoned at the shelter. The volunteers are making him feel welcomed and loved and wanted as much as possible. Just so he doesn't have to feel scared and lonely without his favorite person. Diesel loves the volunteers and the affection he is receiving. We really are loving with this little boy!! He is an awesome and you just might fall in love with him. He is an absolutely incredible pup. Diesel is extremely sweet and is pretty calm despite being placed in a loud, overcrowded shelter. Diesel is very well behaved. Diesel is also great with kids, and housebroken! That is awesome news!! He is hoping to find another loving person soon that will take the time to keep him safe and sound in his new home and be patient with him. INCLUDE HIM IN EVERY MILESTONE YOU EXPERIENCE!! He is super intelligent as he may know some mad skills but didn't want to comply with the photographer and show them off. He much preferred to sniff around. he may know more. Diesel would love to have the opportunity to have a good, responsible, loving family that will make him feel welcomed and loved. Diesel is current on vaccines, will be neutered upon his adoption. He is already micro chipped. Diesel will be tested for heart worms upon his adoption. Diesel weighs in at 58 pounds and he is just 4 years old. You will find Diesel is patiently waiting for you to be his guardian angel in Run 46. Diesel's ID# is 653544. Please come visit this sweetheart and get to know him better. He needs you now more than ever! Please be the great family that saves his life. He has so much love to give and life to left to live for. Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. If this pet came in as lost (not an owner surrender), we don't know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. This pet and many others are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information. Shelter hours are: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m, CLOSED Mondays & Holidays. The shelter prefers people to make an appointment, go to - https://nqa3.nemoqappointment.com/Booking/Booking/Index/as65fg9dr953 and select Adoption. You can also show up between 10:30 & 4:00 Tues. thru Sun. (shelter closes at 4:30), you might have to wait a few minutes until someone can help you. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip. When you book an appointment, it doesn't reserve a particular pet for you. Thank you for considering a Cobb pet!

Man&#197&#141 is a little pistol of a pup.  He was surrendered to a Good Samaritan who already has too many surrendered dogs. She would love for him to find a home that has time to work on puppy training and socialization. Man&#197&#141 is located in Tignall GA where there is no formal animal control facility and very little help for homeless pets. Please be willing to meet in the Athens or Madison, GA area -- which is about halfway between here and their foster (who cares for many and can't be too far from home base). Age: 5 months (as of 9/1/23) Weight: 15 lbs (as of 9/1/23) Training:  crate-trained.   Vetting: Neuter will be part of adoption agreement, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm testing at 6 months.  Email for questions: messparker@gmail.com   To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review.
