Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Villa Rica, GA Meet Theo! He is an 3 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 45 lbs. He is neutered and up to date on shots, but isn’t on heartworm prevention. Theo is fearful of strangers! He is good with kids and dogs! He hasn’t been tested around cats. Theo is given trazodone when he is anxious. He herded one of the owner’s friends and snipped her calf. He also jumped on and nipped a delivery driver after the owner accidentally opened the door. The current owner is surrendering him because he is herding the other people in the home. The other people are no longer comfortable having him there. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! If you think you can provide a great home for Theo, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Theo. Story
Hello, my name is Oreo, and I'm a youngster full of life! I love people (except small children), so I would love to live with someone who is home most of the time. You see, I'm very social and curious so I have to know where my people are at all times. I also want you to know that I'm always near you waiting outside your shower door, lying beside you, walking at your side---you get it. Eating and getting attention are my favorite things to do. I am always on the go, so I need exercise, and I also enjoy basking in the sun. I'm very easygoing, not too picky, lovable, and I want your attention whenever I can get it. I am not a fan of small dogs, small children, or cats and it's best I do not live with them. If you have a dog(s), please bring them with you when you come to meet me to see if we would get along. I hope that's soon. I'll be the life of every party (or day!) of your life :)Love, Oreo

Story
Tookie is a 5 year old male Australian Shepherd mix. His mix of light and brown markings, along with his friendly smile make him a very handsome boy. He's approximately 50lbs, Tookie has been neutered and is now heartworm negative.  Tookie loves affection. He's playful but calms down quickly if there's a good ear scratching to be had. Tookie enjoys lounging on his bed in the sun, a little rough housing with his best friend Diamond, and  treats. Lots of treats! He's well behaved, knows sit, comes when called and is crate trained. He does fine with older kids and does well walking on a leash. Note: Tookie and Diamond are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. They share a special bond and provide each other with comfort and companionship. We hope to find a loving home that can welcome both of them and keep their friendship intact.

Story
We are looking to rehome our 4 year old, female Mini Australian Shepherd, Red Merle. She has been apart of our lives since she was 8 weeks old. She is housebroken, up to date on shots/vaccinations, but will need to be spayed eventually. She is groomed every 6-8 weeks, and is very protective of her family. She is also very active, and loves the outdoors. We have simply grown too busy with work travel in order to continue to give her the attention, love, and care she needs and deserves. She prefers women; however, will gradually warm up to men as well. She is around 15lbs. We will require a small rehoming fee of $200.00. These breeds are very rare, and can be on the pricier side. She was purchased her from a reputable breeder in Los Angeles in 2020 for $2,500. Please call or text Steve @ 678.927.1411.

Who is GREAT with kids?? MINI! She LOVES kids and an active household is her favorite! She is playful, loving, and cuddly! Mini loves to play with other dogs, loves people, is good with kids, and ignores the cats in her home. She loves to snuggle, is crate trained at night, and is working on housetraining. She knows "sit and is working on "down. She's very treat motivated so should be easy to train for her future family! Oh and did we mention that she has a bob tail like her parents? It's super cute! See momma is an Australian Shepherd and dad is a Cane Corso- her owners owned both parents! We think that she will reach about 45-50 ish pounds or so based on her size right now. She currently weighs about 38 pounds and is 6 months old If you are interested in adopting Mini, please fill out an application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FAY-A-7710 **Applications can take anywhere from 5-7 business days to complete. Great dog I really hate to part ways with him but I have to due to unfortunate circumstances. Hes a very smart and well trained dog who understands commands whenever your outside with him along with. He’s very very protective and loves to play. His favorite toy is anything relating to a ball cause he’s a fetch king lol. When you have treats for him he’ll perform all kinds of new tricks for you as I stated before I really hate to part ways with because hes apart of me and my kids family but I can not afford to care for him anymore being that I’m always working.

Story
Morgan is a 1 year old, 30 lb mixed breed cutie. She came to us from animal control on the day she was supposed to be euthanized. She is a shy girl but oh so sweet. Morgan is very food motivated and follows her foster mom around the house. Food has really helped her bond and trust. She does well with both cats and dogs, and she really looks to other dogs for guidance. She has been with dogs, small to large and does well with all of them. She also loves to play with other dogs. She is truly a great sized, sweet girl. Due to Morgan's past, the trainer we worked with believes she would do best in a quiet home with a few other dogs and no children. She does best in a structured environment because it makes her feel most secure. To adopt this sweet girl, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org Her adoption fee is $150, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, and heartworm testing.

Story
Meet “Nella” - a brand new member of the RMG family. “Nella” is an Italian name meaning highly praiseworthy, luminous, radiant and TRULY this describes her perfectly. She was found tied to a dumpster behind a restaurant outside a few hours outside of Atlanta - there was even some talk around of her brother possibly having been shot - so people must have known more about her after animal control picked her up.   Lena or LenaBean as her foster parents fondly call her, is truly the most tender hearted, affectionate, sweet natured energizer bunny ever! In the house Lena is a couch potato and LOVES to be with her human and dog family. Outside, Lena turns into a lightening speed, chipmunk hunter and cross country triathlete. She runs top speed through the fenced in yard with her foster brother chasing squirrels and chipmunks and just showing off her general love for life. Lena is definitely a high energy dog that would need a family that has a completely fenced in yard and experience with breeds that are very intelligent and require a lot of exercise. Lena absolutely has an off switch, which is great, and she also has the eager to please nature so common with Border Collies. Her previous life before coming into RMG’s family has left her with some quirks which her new family should be aware of. She has a tremendous fear of loud noises and definitely needs some human support and comfort when lawn mowers, weed wackers and such are going. All in all, she is a very special girl that has the sweetest heart and deserves a family that will play with, love and protect her. Interested in adopting? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org PLEASE NOTE: Previous first hand ownership experience with either purebred border collies or Australian Shepherds is a strict requirement to adopt Lena ##2046459##
