Story
Keenan is just about 6 mo old and currently weighs about 30lbs . We expect him to be 35-40lbs or so when full grown. He appears to be a Kelpie Corgi mix, although he’s not as short as his sisters. Whatever he is, he’s a very sweet, gentle tempered boy that will be the perfect size for cuddling and hiking! Keenan is a bit of a timid boy, but within just a couple minutes, he becomes a very silly, affectionate puppy. An easy going, although athletic home for him would be ideal. He needs training, but he is extremely smart and learns very quickly. Especially when treats are involved! Keenan loves to play and gets along great with all dogs, so a playful, well balanced, confident dog in the home as a role model would be best. Or at least he must have lots of doggie play dates. Kitties are ok, too Keenan is crate trained but he does still need a bit more help with his house training. Because he’s a bit timid and insecure, kids must be over 10yrs old. He must have a securely fenced yard. He should not be left alone for more that 4-5hr intervals.

Story
Hi, Tomasa is my name and if you want an all around easy dog to get along with - I'm your girl! I love to swim, run, and play. I can already imagine all the fun things we could do together. But I am also very content to lay be your feet and just chill. Don't worry - I'll periodically give you my paw to let you know I'm there and available for cuddling. I don't need constant attention, but I'll take as much as you want to give.I can be a bit shy when we first meet but I warm up quickly and then we are best friends.I am still a young girl who is very curious and learning new things all the time. I getting pretty good at walking on a leash without pulling - and with your help I'm sure I'll be perfect soon! And did I mention I love treats? I already know how to sit for a treat. Being food motivated makes me easy to train. I get along great with most dogs after we are introduced, but I can be a bit vocal with dogs that I don’t know. Once we are introduced, we're good friends. In fact, I go for walks on our La Paz Malecon every Wednesday just so I can meet new dogs and people and be a social girl. If you like an all-around great dog - who has energy to play when you are ready, will chill and lay at your feet while you work, and be ready for cuddles when it's time -- I'm definitely the girl for you.If you think we could have a happy life together, then just click on the ""Apply to Adopt"" button. I will be waiting for you! To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. There you will see any videos, more photos and details.

Story
Hey there, I'm Alice!I am ready to meet my new family. I am super smart and a strong-willed dog who needs someone who has experience working with a dog like me. I form strong bonds with my humans and can be protective of the family. I am ok with other dogs, but really, I would love to be the only dog in the house. Then I wouldn't need to share my toys and I would get all the attention you can give me. I am strong, agile and would thrive with a family who is active so we could go hiking and running and take long walks together. I haven't spent any time around young children but if you have older kids who like to play fetch, that would be my dream. I learn quickly and know all my basic commands. I am fully house-trained and crate trained too. I love to get treats and praise when I do something right. I am still learning so if you are willing to work with me I will love you forever. If you think we might be a good match then just fill out the application and we can meet on a Zoom call.Just ask for Alice To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Story
Animal Profile: Dallas is an adorable estimated 9 month old, 40 lb spayed female German Shepherd (we think she's predominantly Kelpie, actually) who was acquired by a family for their autistic child as a service dog. They soon realized they didn't have the financial or any capability for necessary training and surrendered her to rural Los Banos shelter, where she was euthanasia listed for space. She was assessed to be friendly and social with people and dogs. She's a 'normal shepherd puppy' just looking for a nice loving home. We have accepted her to our rescue, and we will share more info as we get to know her in foster care.  Foster Updates: Dallas is a sweet girl with typical puppy energy. She's very friendly when meeting new people and other dogs. She has high energy and loves to zoom around the yard with her bigger dog friend. She is still working on her canine social skills especially around food (with other dogs and people). She likes her toys and likes to take care of them (hasn't destroyed them); when excited, she is learning to redirect to place a ball or a “chew” toy in her mouth. She is pretty good on leash -- very interested in the world around her but needs encouragement to focus on the task at hand. She has some leash mild reactivity toward people or dogs, mostly because she wants to meet everybody and thinks they want to meet her. Her recall is coming along. She likes to be active and has done some longer 5-7 mile walks and light hikes on the leash. Her crate training has much improved; she likes the visibility from her wire crate and is good at napping, sleeping and occasionally eating in it – as long as her people are in the vicinity. We are working on separation anxiety; when left alone, she needs to be in a studier crate (plastic, steel) because she is a wire crate escape artist. When she's out of the crate she likes to be near her humans and will lay down or play with one of her toys; she's surprisingly calm inside. She is completely housebroken and will tell you when she needs to go outside, however, when introduced to a new location – she will pick one spot and only go there. As she gets more familiar, she branches out around the area. She has not been evaluated with cats or kids. Dallas would do best with someone who works from home, has a playmate that can match her energy and can continue to provide stability, love and training to be her best self. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, andhealth certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was rescued from Los Banos shelter where she was euth listed for space. She will be arriving to foster care in Seattle on 5/21. This dog will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.September 22, 2023, 10:17 am

Story
Please note that we are a TX based rescue that transports our dogs once they are adopted. All our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Well Howdy! I’m Houston! Just a sweet, southern mush if you ask anyone. I give out hugs and dog hair to anyone that will have it. I love a good game of fetch, playing in the water and enjoy all the pets’ belly rubs etc. I’m a smart chap too, I’m kennel trained, I walk politely on a leash, I know how to sit and lay down. I’m housebroken and I’m working on my recall skills. I’ve got a big heart, I’d give it to you if you’d let me! My dream home is one where I can play with my hoomans and cuddle at night watching movies, relaxing. I’ve got medium energy, I’m not to much but I’m not boring neither. I get along with dogs and cats, I’ve got my good pals here at the rescue. I’ll be waiting for somebody to scoop me up one of these days! Houston is about 2 years old and is around 43lbs. We believe he is a Australian Kelpie Mix (our best guess). He is neutered, update to date on vaccines, and microchipped. He is currently on heartworm and flea preventative.

These pups are in Auburn, Washington too!

Story
Cassidy is the silliest girl! She approx 9-10mo old and weighs 35lbs. She is a very happy, wiggly, friendly girl that wants to greet and cuddle with everyone she meets. She is also a very active girl so she must have an athletically active home that will exercise her on a daily basis. Lots of long distant walks and hiking would be ideal. Once she’s a little older, she will even be a great jogging partner. Cassidy thrives on her doggy playtime every day and if she could, she would spend hours at a time running and wrestling with her pals. She would do best with another medium to large size dog in the home. Cassidy still needs lots of training, but she’s such a smart girl, she learns new things very quickly. She is crate trained and needs just a little more help with house training. A home with a doggy door would be great! Cassidy must have a fenced yard. Even though she gets along with children, with her exuberant personality she may knock over the little ones so kids must be over 10 yrs old.

Story
Cybil is such a silly girl! She is a high energy, tiny 38lb, 18 mo old girl that would do best with someone that will run with her. Lots of long distance walking and hiking would also be ideal. She does still need more leash training but she’s very intelligent and learns quickly whatever it is you ask of her. She is extremely food motivated so she’s always excited to play training games. She is very affectionate so needs someone to cuddle with, too. Cybil can be a bit bossy when she meets other dogs so she should be the only animal in the home. Although she does like to run and play with neutral tempered, medium size dogs, so after a proper introduction, she could develop friendships with other familiar dogs. No kitties please. Cybil can be a little reluctant to engage with high energy children so kids must be over 14yrs old. She must have a 5ft or higher, securely fenced yard. She is crate and house trained, as long as she has frequent outside potty breaks. A doggy door would be perfect. A work from home or active retired person would be best for this darling girl!
