Story
** Currently fostered in Houston Texas, but available for adoption out of state via rescue transportation, included in adoption fee. Offer Zoom call to virtually meet prior to adoption. Meet Barkley! This sweet baby wandered up on someone's property. He was wearing a harness on that had the brand name boots and barkley, so that's where the finder got his name. Barkley was chipped, but unfortunately it was not registered. It shows that he was adopted in January2023, and that he is estimated about 5 years of age. He currently weighs around 55 lbs and we believe him to be a border collie/cattle dog mix. He has energy and he loves to run and play, but can be a couch potato too. His favorite thing in the world is to play fetch with a ball! Barkley likes other dogs if they are female, but has not been a fan of males. We believe it's from a lack of social time with other dogs because he doesn't come off as just an aggressive pup, he just seems like he was kept in a yard and ignored a lot of the time prior to rescue and may not be familiar with most dogs. Barkley clearly knows his basic commands, such as sit, kennel, shake and settle. He is highly toy and food motivated and responds wonderfully to focused training. With continued training, we could even see him being an agility pup! Barkley is crate trained, housebroken and does well on leash. He is fully vetted, meaning he us neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped and on monthly preventions for flea, tick and heartworm. For more information on how to adopt Barkley, contact us at MokasMission@Gmail.com for an application.

Story
Welcome Max to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Smooth Coated Collie/Heeler mix is our best guess. He weighs 35 pounds and he loves other dogs. He is very dog friendly with all types of other dogs. He is friendly with the horses and the donkeys in his foster home. He is good on a leash, potty trained and super affectionate. He knows sit and does it very well. He is very attentive and follows direction easily. He knows shake a paw with both paws and is great on a leash. He was an outside dog in his first home and a good Samaritan took him in. He has been with a vet that had PTSD and is sometimes too rough with him. He is very loving to women and also loves men after being at the Rescue for only a week or two. He loves all people and once he knows he is safe bonds deeply and is extremely loyal and devoted companion. He would be great for a hiker, walker, jogger or any one who wants a good companion to take with you. He would be great in a doggy daycare setting as he easily gets along well with all dog personalities. He is vaccinated, healthy, neutered and ready for his forever home. He loves children with open arms and has been around them regularly. This is a WONDERFUL dog and will be a great addition to any family wanting an easy dog to bring in. He would be great for a more novice adopter as he is smart, skilled and follows direction easily. He would be a great dog for a family with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org/ See his cute video.

Story
Meet Jilly! Rescued with her sisters Jello and Joanie, sweet Jilly is a little Cattle dog pup mixed with another small breed (Chihuahua maybe?). She is just around 8-10 weeks old and will likely grow to a medium size as an adult.  Jilly has a sweet nature and a sharp little mind. She loves being near her people and is already making great progress with crate training and starting potty training. True to her breed, Jilly is smart, curious, and eager to learn. She’ll thrive with continued training, enrichment, and an active family who enjoys adventures and giving their dog a fun “job” to do. With guidance and consistency, she’s going to grow into an incredibly loyal and confident companion. Puppies are a big commitment, but raising Jilly means building a lifelong bond with a devoted best friend. If you’re ready to invest in her bright future, she’s ready to give you her whole heart. Jilly will receive her first puppy vaccinations, microchip and deworming. She will be spayed at our cost between 8-12 months of age. Her adoption fee is $525.     We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Meet TotoToto is a funny, playful, and happy little dog who's ready to bring joy to your home! He loves going for walks, living with other dogs, and enjoys sightseeing. Toto would thrive in a home with children and lots of love and affection. He's also a big fan of regular walks, making him a great companion for an active owner.Toto's journey wasn't easy -- he was found covered in fleas and mange near a clinic. Despite his rough start, he's a noble, sweet dog who is friendly with everyone. He's got basic obedience down (like sit, stay, and come), and he's eager to learn more! He's a perfect fit for a family who can shower him with attention and love. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. Story
Hi, I am Monkey! I am a happy, playful, and quirky little dog with lots of personality. I love to play with other dogs, go for walks, and snuggle on the couch with my people. I enjoy lying in the sun and being lazy, but I also get the zoomies and love to play when the mood hits me.I was hit by a car in front of my rescuer's house in May 2025 and had a fractured femur that was surgically repaired. I used to live across the street, mostly outside, but after my accident, the man who had me didn't want me back. That turned out to be lucky for me because now I'm looking for a loving forever home where I will be wanted and loved.I'm kennel trained, affectionate, and loyal. I would do great in a home with another dog and an owner who enjoys walks and snuggle time. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.
