PLEASE READ IN IT'S ENTIRETY. Our adoption fees vary, according to species, size, age and other issues. Discounts apply in some cases. Our dogs have been dewormed, heartworm tested (if over 6 months), started on heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, vaccinated for bordetella, dhppv, rabies (if age appropriate) and microchipped. If old enough they are spayed or neutered, otherwise it will be noted and under a foster to adopt contract until completed and an additional deposit of $100 will be required- deposit will be refunded upon request and proof of surgery. A transportation fee of $300 is required and covers health certificate to travel as well as transportation. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Meet Sawyer a puppy with a zest for life that's simply infectious. He's a playful spirit, always ready to chase after a ball or pup friend, making him the perfect companion for those who enjoy an active lifestyle. But don't let his energy fool you, Sawyer is content laying around getting belly rubs. He will chirp and squeak letting you know how much he enjoys it. He has proven his resilience in the past, having survived being alone on the streets for the hottest summer on record. His skin so burned and mites that his skin cracked open. He could not walk and would scream if you tried to touch him. Yet he remains as playful and loving as ever. Sawyer's playful nature makes his a joy to be around. His ability to bounce back from adversity is truly inspiring. If you're looking for a companion who is full of life, resilient, and will keep you on your toes, then Sawyer is the perfect match for you. Adopt Sawyer and let him bring joy, love, and resilience into your life. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Before you get attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Texas- My rescue will make all arrangements for me to travel to you as soon as I am adopted. Note: The above bio on the dog reflects the behavior we have observed in the dog's foster home. We provide adopters current information on our dogs; we cannot guarantee they will behave in the same manner in a different environment with new owners. Please be advised that our dogs are adopted to their forever families prior to being transported. Unfortunately, it is not possible to meet the dogs in person prior to adoption. We will Facetime, Zoom and you may speak with the dog foster family. We only send well behaved, well rounded dogs, sending anything other fails the dogs. We expect our dogs to be adopted by families who understand- these are rescue dogs, they will need time to decompress, routine and stability. We put our lives into saving these dogs- we expect their new families to be prepared for a lifetime commitment before applying- dogs are not recyclable. Please do not send an email inquiring about a dog. Please fill out the adoption application found at https://www.rangersreach.org/ We are 100% volunteer ran and you have no clue how bad it is down here; we try as hard as we can to get through applications as fast as possible. If we spend all our time answering inquires and emails, we have no time to look over applications. Please do not apply until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. We do not hold dogs for any reason. We do try to be fair and go in the order applications are received. If no response, decision, or adoption is made we must move on to the next application. Applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will receive that dog.

Story
Welcome Ginger to the CCPAL Foster Program. Ginger is an 18 month old Australian Cattle dog/Terrier mix. She weighs 27 pounds. She loves toys and her new favorite is a purple elephant. She has been a very good mamma dog to her puppies. They are extremely healthy and well cared for. She was dumped on a construction site and we are not sure if she was pregnant or got pregnant on the site. It was extremely hot and dangerous for any dog especially a pregnant one. A good Samaritan picked her up and a foster stepped up for her to have the puppies. The puppies are now weaned so she will be spayed soon. She is also getting treatment for heartworms and will be ready in a few weeks for her forever home. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is an alpha dog but does get along with other dogs. She would be fine as an only dog or could go with another dog. She would be great for a family that is athletic and outdoorsy. She isn’t a dog that needs to be entertained. She is very content playing with her toys and running around the yard playing keep away with her pups. She is a nice medium sized dog. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Ginny to CCPAL Rescue. Ginny is about 5.5 months old. She looks like an Australian Cattle dog and maybe a white Boxer. She came from one of the local animal controls that was out of space and made pleas to local rescues to step up. CCPAL stepped up for her and her sister Abigail. She is really sweet, good with other dogs, good in her crate and a little bit shy. We are working on her leash manners but it looks like it is the first time she has been on leash. She will need a gentle training handler and she corrects easily. She is very willing to do what you want and very gentle when she is happy. This is a nice quality and with a tiny bit of direction will be an amazing adult dog. Someone that has the time, is gentle and patient would be her best home. She is nice to all people including strangers. She should be about a 50-pound dog full grown. Thin and tall but about 50 pounds is our best guess. Her coat is soft and she is not a big shedding dog. She is getting spayed and vaccinated and will be ready for her forever home soon. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Story
Welcome Astrid to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2.5-year-old Cattle Dog and Lab mix maybe. She was adopted as a puppy and returned as an adult. She is now a bit of a timid adult. She is potty trained and good in a crate. We think she may not have stayed home a lot as a puppy and didn’t get the interactions with other people that they need as a puppy. She is timid of new people but she is a nice dog. She is not over the top active and would be fine with a moderately active family. I think her best home is as an only dog where it is quiet and she can get all the attention. She would be great with a person that has a quieter home and is more of a stay home kind of person and doesn’t care that their dog also wants to be a home body. She would be best with someone that doesn’t want a social butterfly but just seeks companionship. She would be fine around children. I would say older like 10 or more. A retired single or couple would be her ideal pick if she could talk. She is healthy, vaccinated and spayed and ready for her forever home. She can be adopted locally in Texas where she is with the rescue. We can also use one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Story
Barney Boy! Barney was the middle of the three siblings. He is funny, cute, smart, endearing....not pushy, not needy. Barney has been in the rescue since he was 4 weeks old! We don't know why he hasn't caught anyone's eye...he is gorgeous!!! Barney is the biggest in size of the three siblings but he doesn't know it. He does not use his size and weight against his older brother Fred. He doesn't know that he is bigger and stronger than him. When he is done playing, he is happy to grab a toy and play with it all by himself. But, he LOVES to jump in and out of the kiddie pool with the other dogs and puppies. He loves to play with dogs and pups of all ages and sizes! And once he is tired, he is GREAT about choosing any kennel and catching a nap. Lately, he is also likes just picking a spot in the grass away from the noisy puppies to just chill. Sometimes, he is not really interested in coming back inside for his nap. He likes to hang outside for his naps at times. His potty trained! He is happy to go outside at 7am from being in his kennel the whole night sleeping like an angel. He goes straight to his spot and takes care of his business. He does not have any accidents in his kennel either. Barney is working on leash walking and training. Barney has all 4 parvo shots, bordatella shot, and rabies shot. He has been dewormed several times. He is neutered and has been tested and treated (if needed) and retested for coccidia and giardia. He is chipped. He has been heartworm preventative since he was 6 weeks old - Iverhart. And he is on fleas and ticks preventative - Simparica. Are you looking for a CHILL dude? Barney is your guy! All animals receive a health certificate (stating that a licensed veterinarian saw the pet and deemed it healthy for travel, but is not a promise of perfect health). Please email for an A.M.O.R. application in order to be considered. Please note: this pet is located out of state.

Story
Hi, I am Ringo,I am so happy to see you looking at my profile, I would love to find my forever home so I can show you what a good boy I am. I am happy to play with the other dogs in my foster home, they teach me lots of cool things. I especially love it when we all play together. I am not keen on cats, and I will bark at them. But when it comes to toys, I love them all. The noisier the better. Balls and ropes are fun too. There is nothing better than car rides, I know we are going somewhere fun, like the beach. I am learning to swim but mostly I just love to run in the sand and splash in the water.I am just learning some basic manners like Sit (usually there is a treat here), Come and Stay. I will probably need more training for those. I like my walks and usually, I stay close to my foster mom unless of course there are distractions then I tend to pull. If you are looking for someone to cuddle with then I am your guy, I even like to have my coat brushed because it means that I am close to you.If it sounds like we would make a good match then just fill in the application and we will meet on a Zoom call. Lots of love to give.Ringo To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. There you will see any videos, more photos and details.

Itaso is a very friendly guy that loves to run and explore.  Good with others and loves his pets, Itaso can be energetic and lazy at the same time.  A very unique looking pup.  He is trained very well on a leash and knows commands as in "sit" as well as "stay".    Itaso is fully vaccinated and altered.  He can be transported to anywhere in the United States and Canada.  Itaso would make a great family dog or a great companion for a single family or just a one on one situation as well.     Please inquire about him or fill out our online application to see about giving Itaso a chance of a lifetime.   ##1540781##

Rue has raised her litter of puppies and is now ready to find her forever home! She is about 3-4 years old and weighs 40 pounds. She's shy at first, but warms up quickly. She's adapting well to life inside, and she's house trained. Rue walks well on leash now, and is eager to learn more with her forever family! She's learned what toys are and has started playing. She's enjoying life and will give you a big smile once she trusts you!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as ''Out of Town'' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.December 6, 2023, 3:25 pm

Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Welcome Serenity to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 1.5-year-old Australian Shepherd mixed dog. She weighs about 45 pounds. She is deaf and only has minor sight in one eye. She gets around like she has all senses completely intact. She is very sweet with all people. She was born without hearing and much sight so she has learned to adapt and when you see her play with other dogs you would not really know. She is great with other dogs her size and gets along in a play group with dogs that are more dominant and bossier. She can go with children. We would like them to be 10 or older. Someone patient with her and gentle in the handling will love this dog. She wants to do what you want and she is gentle, sweet and willing to learn. She is smart and adores attention and being touched. She has a soft coat and not a huge shedder. She would be a great companion for an older couple, older single or someone that is looking for a nice friendly companion. She is good on a leash and follows scent of her person easily. She bonds deeply and quickly. We all love this dog at the Rescue and would really be happy to see her find her forever home. She was found as a stray in Texas and has been with the rescue waiting for her forever home. She is healthy and up on her vaccinations and spayed. She can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Welcome Bleu to CCPAL Rescue. We think he is an Australian Shepherd/Husky. He has a beautiful grey and black brindle color. He has a medium length coat. He is decent on a leash, good in his kennel and friendly. Bleu is a social dog and would make an active family a great companion. He would be a great hiking, jogging or outdoor activity dog. He is playful and fun and will make some lucky family a great companion. His best home would be with someone that likes to do things and include their dog in their fun. He would be fine with kids and we like them to be 8 or older. He is getting his vaccines and will be neutered soon. He is in Texas at the CCPAL Rescue. He was pulled from one of the local high kill animal controls around the shelter. They are all pleading for Rescues to open up space so they don’t have to euthanize. Because of the great adoptions we had space. He can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Story
Mini Australian Shepherd puppy Chili! Mama Marlow's, beautiful litter of miniature, Australian Shepherd, puppies, mini Aussies, will be ready for their forever homes on December 17. We are now excepting applications for adoption. Marlow was rescued, along with several other mini Aussies, from a breeder whose numbers and workload had gotten out of control after her own illness and an injury to her kennel worker. Young Marlow, was one of the dogs we rescued. As we were carrying Marlow to our truck, the breeders husband quietly mentioned, that she had been in heat and kenneled with one of their studs a few weeks prior. Fast forward a few weeks after Rescue, we had Marlow checked at our vets office and confirmed that she was indeed pregnant. Our foster family, has been there every step of the way with Marlow and for her puppies! They are being socialized with humans and the other resident dog, and are truly beautiful representatives of the breed. These puppies will have their natural tails remain, and will go home with their first puppy vaccine. They will also go home with a required spay/neuter contract that requires them to be spayed or neutered by six months of age and a $450 refundable deposit made at the time of adoption to ensure compliance. Mama Marlow, who is approximately two years old, is also available for adoption!
