Teddy is a 1 yo purebred Australian Shepherd (dob 2/21/24). He is house trained, crate trained, and he knows basic commands. He is still working on leash manners, and pulls quite a bit when overly excited. He is quick and eager to learn for food, treats, and toys. He knows and LOVES to play fetch with his ball. He enjoys car rides and outdoor adventures. He has a lot of energy and drive and will thrive in a home that understands working dog needs. He is strong bodied and strong-willed, he needs a lot of consistency in training, but will thrive with a family experienced with the Aussie breed. He is playful and enthusiastic with both dogs and cats, but can he very pushy and rude in his desires to play. He has been raised with children in the home and loves to play with kids. He is very much still a puppy and needs someone who can give him the outlet and training he needs to thrive. Super sweet boy with a lot of energy!

Aussies are incredibly smart dogs that are motivated to learn & please you. If you don’t have experience with this breed, we highly recommend you do your research before applying. Australian Shepherds need to have a job and if they don’t, they will quickly assign themselves one.From Sissy's foster mom: Sissy is a high-energy dog who would thrive in a home with at least one other dog or a highly active owner who wants to walk her often. She loves going to the dog park and is very sociable. Having a fenced yard would be best since Sissy prefers to run around outside. She loves being brushed and loved on. She is house-broken and scratches at the door to go out. She is crate-trained and sleeps through the night. She is a very fun dog.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering.
