Story
💕 HALLIE 🎀 Mama Hallie is the sweetest, most affectionate girl. Now that her puppies have found their homes, it’s her turn! Hallie and her sister, Annie, were pulled from the euthanasia list at a local shelter in June. A week after they were pulled, we realized Hallie was expecting! She was the sweetest mama 🫶 Hallie is about 60lbs and about 2-3 years old. She loves going for walks, chasing squirrels in the backyard, and curling up on a bed by her foster mom’s desk. She plays wonderfully with the six other dogs in her foster home. She’s sweet, loving, and so affectionate 🥰

Story
🐾REMY🐶 Remy is a 1 year old Cur, Australian Shepherd mix that is about 40 lbs! He was found stray & terrified of humans but warmed up quicker than his foster mom ever could’ve hoped!🥰 He is very playful & acts like a puppy around the other dogs. Still a little shy and will run if he thinks you are going to catch him but he will come up to be petted or take food! Remy LOVES other dogs and plays hard, so a patient and playful pup in the home is a MUST 🐕 Remy is working on crate training and potty training, he walks fairly well on a leash & is just SO sweet. He loves toys, and his confidence is a work in progress, but we know he will be the best companion for his future family🧸 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. 1/11/24 Smiley is one of our newest intakes! He started at Paws in Prison yesterday and will graduate from the program in about 8 weeks. Smiley and his friend, Wiggles, were found by some kind folks deep in the woods while camping. Smiley and Wiggles were emaciated, hungry, thirsty, covered in ticks, and desperately seeking help and love! Luckily they were saved. Both are males and very social boys, eager to please their human and easy to train with their love for training treats, too. Commands they have mastered include SIT, WAIT, OFF, ON ALL FOURS and working on more. They are about 10 months to a year old and weigh 30 to 32 pounds. About Mr. Smiley -- Smiley has a beautiful medium to long glossy black coat, with white puffs of hair on his underside. He is probably an Australian Shepherd mix, making him quite agreeable to obedience training. Can you spell S-M-A-R-T? The name “Smiley” comes from the cute little quirk of showing teeth when he greets you. This sweet smile is a sign of contentment and is a way of communicating with his human friends to convey how happy he truly is. Like his “brother” Wiggles, Smiley is affectionate, a cuddle bug, very good with other dogs, good with kids, and enjoys a playful romp from time to time. He also enjoys belly rubs and is also very treat driven. Smiley is crate trained, house trained, leash trained. UTD on vaccinations, neutered, and started on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. Harrisburg, PA 2am Fridays Port Jervis, NJ 5am Fridays Southington, CT 8am Fridays East Hartford, CT 11am Fridays To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $125-$140 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. For more info regarding adopting, email apps.aasr@gmail.com. Thank you for considering one of our rescue babies! February 21, 2024, 10:55 am

Story
****NO ADOPTION FEE!!!!**** There is absolutely nothing wrong with Nellie Kate, but due to the fact that we need to make room for new fosters, adoptions are slow at the moment and Nellie Kate has been here a little longer than some, WE ARE NOT CHARGING AN ADOPTION FEE ON HER! You will still have to fill out an application and be approved though and if you live in the northern states that we adopt to, you will have to pay the $135 transport fee. NELLIE KATE – LAB/AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERD MIX – Email fogcarescue@gmail.com for more info and/or an application. This GORGEOUS girl will be a WONDERFUL family dog for some lucky family! She is a super sweet, friendly and happy girl. She loves people and she is especially fond of kids and seems to enjoy any personal attention that wish to lavish her with. She is great with other dogs and like most youngsters, she loves to run and play with them. I would say that her energy level is medium and she is playful, but she’s not so active that you can’t love on her. She’s a real love bug…she’ll even climb in your lap if you let her. She does pretty well on a leash and enjoys going on walks/hikes. Nellie Kate is looking for a great new family that will love her and include her in their everyday comings and goings. She is 1 ½ years old (dob 5/13/22) and weighs 48 pounds at the time of this posting 1/16/24. She has been spayed, 4DX heartworm tested, microchipped, fecal tested and is current on all vaccinations, worming and on heartworm and flea prevention. Nellie Kate is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area every week and her fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to residents of those states.
