Story
Meet Bailey Girl, a sweet Aussie looking for her chance Bailey Girl is a beautiful 20-pound female 8 month old Mini Aussie mix with a story that will break your heart—but the little dog she is becoming will put it right back together. Bailey Girl was abandoned during extremely hot weather when someone placed her inside a school playground with no way to get out. Tragically, she wasn’t discovered until the following Monday when the school reopened. Someone had reportedly witnessed her being left there but did not notify anyone. We may never understand why she was abandoned that way, but we do know one thing: her story does not have to end where it began. Today, Bailey Girl is safe in a loving foster home, and she is doing beautifully.  It took her only a couple of days to begin trusting her foster, and now she has become her little shadow. She does well with other dogs and cats, walks on a leash, and can even be left loose in the home with the other dogs while her foster is at work. Bailey Girl is still working on becoming completely house trained, but she is extremely intelligent and continues to learn. She enjoys having a yard where she can run and as her confidence and trust have grown, she happily comes back to her foster when called. Because Bailey Girl can be somewhat fearful of children, we believe she would be happiest in a home without children, where she can feel secure and develop a strong bond with her person or family. Bailey may need a little more patience in the beginning than some dogs. You have to earn her trust—but once you do, something very special happens. She begins to understand that she is safe. She follows you. She looks to you for reassurance. And before long, you realize you haven’t just gained a dog—you’ve gained a devoted little sidekick. A word of advice please.  Bailey Girl needs someone who won’t expect everything from her on the first day. She needs love, patience, kindness, and time. Give her the opportunity to understand that you aren’t going anywhere, and she will give that love and devotion right back to you.  Bailey may very well become the dog you talk about for the rest of your life. Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you would like to make her a part of your world and life.  She has already experienced what it feels like to be left behind. Now it’s time for this beauty to discover what it feels like to be chosen—and never abandoned again. September 2, 2026, 12:41 am

Story
Meet Macy — A Loving Girl Ready for Her Forever Family Meet Macy, a beautiful Mini Australian Shepherd who is 1 year old and weighing approximately 25 pounds. Macy is an intelligent, joyful, and incredibly loving girl who is looking for a family that will make her a true part of their everyday life. Macy does well with other dogs, cats, and children, making her a wonderful possibility for a family with other pets or kids. She is very smart, eager to learn, and enjoys being involved with the people around her. Macy is already crate trained and is currently working on her house training—and coming along nicely! With consistency, patience, and lots of praise, this intelligent little girl should continue to make great progress. Macy needs an active and involved family. A home with a safely fenced yard where she has room to run and play freely would be ideal. She would love someone who enjoys walks, hiking, adventures, and family outings and wants a four-legged companion by their side. Macy is being rehomed because her current owner works full-time and simply cannot give her the time and attention she deserves. Her owner feels it is unfair for Macy to spend so many hours in her crate and wants to give her the opportunity to have a fuller, more active life with a family who has more time for her. Macy is a loving and joyful little girl with so much to give. She isn’t asking for much—just room to run, adventures to enjoy, a family to love, and people who will include her in their lives. If you’re looking for an intelligent, affectionate companion who is ready to become part of your family and join you on life’s adventures, Macy may just be your perfect match.  Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com via email to ask for an adoption application!  She is fostered in Tennessee and we do transport to the Northeast corridor of states. Let’s find this sweet girl the loving forever home she deserves! Story
Hay Dude Equine Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Texas. All of our dogs live in foster homes in TX and are transported to their new states once adopted. All adopters must be 21+. Applications can be found at haydudeequine.org. Meet Atlas! Atlas is a 2-year-old, 20-pound purebred Miniature Australian Shepherd with a big personality and an even bigger heart! This handsome little guy is looking for a special forever home where he can feel safe, loved, and truly understood. Atlas is a dog-friendly guy who absolutely loves playing with other dogs. Having a canine companion in his forever home could be a wonderful fit for him! He is also good with cats—as long as they don’t run. If a cat takes off, Atlas’s herding instincts kick in and he may give chase. Atlas is potty trained and leash trained, making him a great companion for someone ready to continue helping him thrive. He loves his squeaky toys, enjoys playtime with his dog friends, and knows that sitting politely can earn him one of his favorite things: treats! But perhaps Atlas’s favorite thing of all is getting affection. Once he trusts you, he absolutely loves being petted. In fact, Atlas has his own adorable way of asking for attention—he’ll throw himself onto his back, paws over his face, and essentially say, “Okay, human... belly rubs, please!” Because of his rescue past, Atlas does have some boundaries that his forever family will need to respect. He is not a good match for a home with children, and he can be a little wary of some men. He will need patient people who understand that trust takes time and who are willing to let him build confidence at his own pace. Atlas may have had a difficult beginning, but he is ready for a new chapter—one filled with squeaky toys, doggy playdates, tasty treats, belly rubs, and a family who will love him for exactly who he is. If you’re looking for a small, smart, playful Aussie with a goofy personality and a huge capacity for love, Atlas may be your guy!
