Story
We are looking to rehome Cocoa, a mini Aussie just over 2.5 years old. She is such a sweet girl, full of energy and spunk. She loves to run and bark and be with people. She needs a large area to be free to play and run and unfortunately we can't give her that. She is used to cats and children, and she does live with our much older dog but I can't say for sure how she would do with other dogs as she has been with this one since she was a puppy. She is not spayed and she has an umbilical hernia that can be repaired at the same time. She will need updated shots as well. Cocoa has so much love to share!

Story
Current Location: Manassas, VA Hi, I'm Hank — a 3-year-old red Australian Shepherd with adventure written all over my DNA! 🐕 I'm a medium-sized guy at 48 pounds, and I've got the brains and playful spirit to keep life interesting. I do great with other dogs, so I'd thrive in an active home where I can use my sharp mind and energy. Come meet me and let's explore what we can accomplish together! 🌟 I just arrived at OPH, but here is what foster mom has to say about me so far: -I am super friendly and outgoing. I have been best friends with everyone I've met so far. I love to be pet and give kisses! - I love other dogs- everyone is my friend! - I love playing with toys and I am great at fetch. I can't wait to show you how fast I am! - I know "sit" and I'm getting pretty good at "place". -I didn't love the bath but I LOVE being brushed. I'm all for a spa day if that's the outcome! I do have a full double coat (as Aussie's do) so I will most likely need an adopter that remembers to brush me regularly or gets me professionally groomed. I can get matted quickly! -I have been pretty quiet in my crate. So far, I have only barked when I really needed to go out and do my business. I go right in for some food or a treat. -Speaking of food- I am a foodie! I love food and treats. I should be easy to train since I will do anything for a snack. -I am neutered (6/4), microchipped, and UTD on all my shots. -I love going for walks and car rides. I could use some work on the leash, but foster mom says I'm not terrible. - I have typical (HIGH) Aussie energy, so I need an active adopter that can keep up with me. If you know the breed, you know what I mean! I'd love an active family that hikes or runs, or could even bring me to the kids sporting events! No couch potatoes for me. Check back often for profile updates and new pictures as I settle in at foster mom's house!

Story
Wyatt is available through Animal Rescue, Inc in New Freedom, PA. He would love a home with at least one other dog to play with all day, its actually a must for him. Wyatt loves to play tug with his buddies when they aren`t chasing each other around the large fenced yard. He is about a year old and has a lot of energy, so a job of some sort would be great. Wyatt does tend to herd other dogs and likes to play with your hands, though we have been working on that, so older kids/teens would probably be best. He loves to drink water as your pouring it. Wyatt sleeps in his crate at night, which provides a break for his companions too, but he does like to just chill in there off and on during the day too. Wyatt is eager to please and recently attended a board and train, so it is important that his new family will continue to reinforce what he learned there so he can be his very best self. Wyatt requires a fenced yard

Story
Meet Josie, she is the all-around perfect package! To start off, she has looks…she is absolutely GORGEOUS! She is smart…knows basic commands – sit, stay and heel. She’s a lot of fun too…she’s fairly active and she loves to play with toys and if you will throw them for her, she really loves fetching tennis balls. She is house and crate trained, gets along well with other dogs, loves people -adults and kids…she is NOT good with cats. Josie has always been a house dog, but as you can tell from her activities, she loves to be outdoors too. Her previous owners loved her very much and they took excellent care of her. The only reason they surrendered her to us is because of some medical issues in the family. Our wish for Josie is to be adopted by a wonderful family that will treat her like the princess that she is and one that will include her in all of their activities and daily comings and goings. Josie is 6 years old and weighs 53 pounds. She has been spayed, microchipped, 4DX heartworm tested, fecal tested, current on all vaccinations, worming and is on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400. Josie is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area most weeks and her fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to those states.

These pups are in York, Pennsylvania too!
