Story
**Meet Dean — a Gentle, Shy Soul Looking for His Perfect Home (with Jackie!)** Dean is a very shy but incredibly sweet boy who just needs a little time and patience to show you his true heart. Once he bonds with you, he becomes your devoted shadow—quietly loyal, deeply affectionate, and happiest right by your side. Dean shares a special, unbreakable bond with his best friend Jackie, and the two of them must be adopted together. Their connection gives Dean confidence, comfort, and joy, and they truly thrive as a pair. Leash walks are one of Dean’s favorite things—he’s calm, easy to handle, and enjoys exploring the world at a gentle pace. However, he *can* jump a 4-foot fence, so he will need a secure yard with a taller fence or supervised outdoor time to keep him safe. Dean and Jackie are looking for a patient, loving home that will give them the time and reassurance they need to settle in. With understanding and consistency, Dean will blossom into the loyal, affectionate companion he’s meant to be. If you’re ready to open your heart to a sweet, sensitive boy and his best friend, Dean and Jackie are waiting to meet you.

Story
Paisley is in need of a new home through no fault of her own - her owner passed away unexpectedly. Give her a chance. Paisley is 11 but you would never know it from meeting her. She is is exactly what you would expect from an Australian Shepherd - excited, energetic, family oriented and a little anxious. She does well with other dogs, she formerly lived with 4 cats, 2 children (5yo and 10yo) without issue. She DOES attempt to herd kids/people if they are running around (which is normal for her breed). The herding consists of chasing the kids around and barking or mouthing at the back of their heels - without causing injuries. Paisley follows her family around the house and does bark/whine if she is feeling anxious. She walks well on a leash and responds well to training. She is house trained and such a sweet girl. She is slightly overdue for her vaccines (less than a year) new owner will have access to her prior medical records/vaccine records.

Story
Meet Toby!! Tobys story starts like far too many in Houston abandoned on the streets, struggling to survive, painfully thin with raw, irritated skin. Despite everything hes been through, he never lost his gentle spirit. Thanks to an incredible foster, Toby was given the chance to heal, and today hes healthy, happy, and officially finished with heartworm treatment. Now, hes ready for what hes always deserved: a forever home. Now for the best part - Toby himself. Toby is what we lovingly call a stage-five clinger. He thrives on affection and wants to be as close to his person as possible. After a hard start to life, he’s learning that love is here to stay, and that reassurance means everything to him. With time and security, his foster is confident he’ll settle into a more balanced independence but for now, expect a loyal shadow. True to his Australian Shepherd roots, Toby is incredibly smart, athletic, a great swimmer, and eager to engage. Toys are his passion if there’s something he can carry around proudly in his mouth, he will. Hes also an excellent running partner; his foster mom is training for a marathon, and Toby easily keeps pace for five miles and beyond. An active home that enjoys exercise and mental stimulation is a must for this guy. Toby is already potty trained, crate trained, and knows basic commands. Hes still polishing his manners (especially when excitement leads to jumping), but he’s eager to learn and quick to catch on. He loves kids including toddlers and does great with other dogs, especially playful companions. While hes friendly and social, he’d do best with a dog who wants to be his buddy rather than a dominant “boss.” Toby is pure heart. He rides beautifully in the car, walks nicely on leash, and wants nothing more than to be included in everyday life with his people. He’s affectionate, joyful, and endlessly loyal the kind of dog who makes your house feel like home. If you’re looking for a devoted adventure partner and lifelong best friend, Toby might just be your perfect match. Toby is fostered in Houston, Texas, but is available for adoption across many states. Transport is included in the adoption fee.

Story
Bailey is a high energy sweetheart who needs more time than our family is currently able to provide and it breaks our hearts but we know she needs and deserves more. We are unsure of her full breed, but she is said to be an Aussie mix and she definitely has that Aussie energy. She is good with other dogs and loves to play, she is house trained and crate trained. Bailey needs some work on a leash but is very smart and can learn with time and effort. The negative- she is a puller on leash because that energy is just a lot...also she is a chewer so she is unable to have bedding or toys without them being destroyed almost instantly. Bailey loves cuddles and kisses and is good with kids but would be better with older kids because we have toddlers and she knocks them over and is just too much energy for them. A family with older kids would adore her. She is up to date on shots and spayed and she weighs about 38lbs.

Story
Smart and intelligent are the words to describe our lovely gal Lyra. She is an Australian Shepherd mix at around 5 months old and weighing around 32 pounds. Looking forward, she will have growing to do to reach her full-grown weight and our best guess is that she will be a large gal over somewhere over 60 pounds. Time will tell for sure, but we certainly do not need time to know this girl is a sweetheart. She comes into rescue from a hoarding situation and there have been many changes in her life. She is making great progress and learning to trust people; however, she may be shy in a new environment so slow introductions will be the key until she has time to adjust. Lyra does well with other dogs and children but has not been exposed to cats since coming into rescue. At this time, we do not know how she would react to a cat companion. She is learning her skill set of house, crate and leash training. She aims to please and is bright and enthusiastic. She will put in her best effort to learn her skills and make her family proud of her. Lyra has much to learn when it comes to living the good life. We know she will ease into it and then submerse herself in all the love and attention offered to her. She did not know what she was missing until now. She is more than ready to turn the page to the next chapter of her life. * When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Lyra is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
