Story
Sonic is a very sweet dog. We adopted him from the Humane Society when he was about one-year old in 2020. He has been trained and is up to date on all shots and is in great health. Unfortunately, his current human now has chronic back problems and can no longer run with the dog. This is resulting in a very sedentary and boring life for a fun, active dog. Sonic is great with other dogs and kids at least age 9 and older - the age of our youngest when we adopted Sonic. I don't know how he does with younger kids. Sonic is also great with other dogs and loves to run free.

Story
Meet Magellan! He had been living on the street for a few months when someone asked if we could take him in. He’s sooooo happy and bouncy! He weighs 51 pounds and is about a year old, still a baby with sparkling white teeth! He is GREAT with the other dogs in the yard, but plays a little too rough for smaller dogs. He has a chill disposition and isn’t dominant with the other dogs. Magellan is super smart and did great during his brief time in a temporary home. He learned sit and down quickly, and he does well in his crate. He loves to cuddle. Magellan loves to play! He would be a great addition to any home!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.July 26, 2024, 4:53 am

Story
Meet Cashew! The Ultimate Cuddle Companion! Age: 3 years old Weight: 50lbs Medications: Cashew is a healthy boy! He's up-to-date on his flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and he's had all his vaccinations. Likes: Cashew is a lover of all things cuddly and cozy! He adores people, treats, car rides, and snuggling up on the bed or couch with his favorite humans. Not a Fan Of (But Will Tolerate): Baths. Really Dislikes: Loud vacuums and nail clippers! But hey, who does love those? Great at: Cashew is a little superstar! He walks like a pro on a leash, knows tons of tricks, and is a master at crate time! Not-So-Great: Cashew struggles with a bit of leash reactivity towards other dogs, but does not care if he’s in the same play area as them! Looking for a Forever Home: Cashew would thrive in a loving household where he can be the center of attention and get plenty of exercise! He's a ball of energy who loves his walks and playtime, so a home with a yard would be paw-some!

Story
Hi, I'm Yadi, a 2.5-year-old male Lab mix with a nice balance of calmness and playfulness.    I grew up in a home with children, but they had some life changes and they’re unable to care for me any longer.  So I'm ready to start interviewing for the job of my forever family.  I’m a pretty chill pup most of the time, but when it’s playtime, I come alive! I absolutely love playing fetch. I'm great at bringing the ball back and I've almost mastered the art of dropping it so the humans can throw it again.  I’m already trained to “sit” and “down,” and I’m working on walking nicely on a leash. I’m also potty trained and ready to bring my calm, loving nature and playful spirit into a new home. If you’re looking for a loyal companion and a fun-loving lab boy, I might just be your perfect match! If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Yadi’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Story
I raised Nash from puppy age. He is affectionate but high energy. He needs a good home with someone who can spend time and train him properly. He knows basic commands and is very smart. I can't take care of him in the way I should since I moved to a much smaller home from a larger property. He would do well on a farm with farm animals. He has stock dog heritage.
