Pineapple and his siblings, Blueberry and Lemon were originally living underneath an old barn and found placement with C.A.R.E - Coalition for Animal Rescue & Education before coming to Country Acres Rescue. Pineapple loves to play and interact with his sisters. He loves to do zoomies and run and run and run; it is very evident he is appreciative of all of CAR's exercise yards. Pineapple is dog and kid friendly and would do well in a home environment with both. Pineapple is patiently waiting to find the loving home that he so deserves. Miles is a very fun loving, happy dog that loves to lay on top of you with his legs up. He gets along well with our 10yr old full golden. They play a little rough in my opinion but both seem to enjoy the company. Miles is crate trained, goes potty outside and knows how to sit, stay and 'enough' when barking at people outside. His bark is quite loud and he lets you know when anyone is around your home. He is very protective of me being the main female of the house. With that said, he can be over protective at times. Recently he has been a little aggressive when he does not get attention or when I give my attention to others. We have approached trainers and did research on this behavior and nothing has sufficed. Simply put, I cannot keep him in the home when he has been aggressive towards my children. Perhaps an active young couple or a single person who needs a lot of love and protection would be a great fit for our Miles.

Meet Magellan! He had been living on the street for a few months when someone asked if we could take him in. He’s sooooo happy and bouncy! He weighs 51 pounds and is about a year old, still a baby with sparkling white teeth! He is GREAT with the other dogs in the yard and so he is able to run free with the front yard pack. He has a chill disposition and isn’t dominant with the other dogs. Believe it or not, sometimes street dogs can be more well adjusted than a dog that is owner surrendered! He’s probably even good with cats, we can always cat test any dog! Magellan loves to play!
