Story
Meet Livvy! Livvy is such a cute, sweet perfect balance of fun and cuddles. She loves playing with other dogs and loves being by your side. Livvy was found abandoned when she was just a tiny puppy and she is now learning, growing and thriving! Livvy is crate trained, potty trained and is doing well with basic commands. She is 5 1/2 months old and about 20 lbs! Don’t let her size fool you, she plays with her 80 lb. fosters siblings and keeps up just fine! She has been around dogs and cats and does well with both, although she is somewhat scared of our three-year-old cat. She is great with adults and children and is so excited to meet everyone! We believe her to be a mix of Pit, American Bulldog, American Eskimo, Toy poodle, Maltese and a few other breeds! (DNA Test said so)! Though she is on the smaller side, she is healthy and full of energy! She loves to run with the other dogs and follow what they do. A perfect day for Livvy is lots of playtime outside in the yard playing with her doggy siblings, and then snuggling up to rest. She loves the kiddie pool and will just go swimming when she is hot! She also loves to sunbathe and gets super excited for her walks! Though she is crate trained during nap time, she sleeps in bed with her foster parents and she absolutely loves bedtime! She will get up and snuggle under the covers! She is potty trained and uses the bell to let us know she needs to go potty and will also ring the bell when she wants to go outside and play. Livvy is super smart and is already learning so much! We are working on sit and stay, and she knows where we keep the treats and will sit and wait for one. Livvy loves chewing on bones and squeaky, crinkly toys. She gets so excited to play and will keep you laughing! This sweet girl would do best in a home with children or another dog. She loves the interaction and lights up when the kids come home from school. She also gets extremely excited to have another dog to run around with so we definitely want her to have at least one dog in the home. If you think Livvy would be a perfect fit for your family, fill out our adoption application here: https://www.coopersafeplace.org/application-page Livvy’s adoption fee is $450.

Story
Ripely is a quickly, loving, and loyal companion. He is 3 years young, housebroken, crate trained, gets along with others, is a good listener, loves to be around his person, and is a quick learner. He does have a touch of anxiety and does not like loud noises (vacuum, blender, garbage disposal, crying babies) and will bark. He has crate that he sleeps in, but truth be told, he would rather cuddle with a human. He is a little shy at first, but warms up quickly when he feels safe. Ripely is eager to please and although he will occasionally find mischief (he enjoys socks), he is easily redirected. He spends most of him time indoors, but does enjoy time outside and going for walks. He is not a huge fan of being in the car (mostly getting in) but with patience and reassurance he will lay down and enjoy the ride. Now for the hard part, due to some unfortunate situations, I am moving. The new living situation is not one where I will be able to effectively meet Ripley’s needs.

Story
Gracie Mae is a little over a year old, her birthday is November 23, 2023. She is the kindest and sweetest dog and having to rehome her has not been an easy decision but it is what’s best for her. She has so much energy, so room to run or a farm would be ideal. She gets along with my other dog, my other dog is just too old to keep up. She is great with my toddler. She will come with her crate and I’m asking a $300 rehoming fee to insure she is going to a good home. She really is a great dog and this decision has not been made lightly. Things have changed and I work too much over time to be able to give her the attention that she needs.

Story
This handsome 4 year old boy loves to be loved on and very affectionate with his person. He has been to dog parks and gets along with other non aggressive dogs. His owner got him prior to marriage. They now have a 2 year old and another baby on the way. Gunter would be best with older children and a place to run and worked with to have a job or just be a dog enjoying a large yard or farm. He would need someone that will understand he needs time to adjust to new surroundings and a new person.

Story
Meet Ren! Ren is a very handsome, 3 year old Australian Shepherd. While not much is known about Ren's previous life, we do know that he was taught several "tricks" including sit, stay, roll over and spin. He loves to do his tricks - especially when treats are involved! Ren weighs about 50 pounds right now, so he is on a doggy diet, but that doesn't stop him from performing for treats! Ren is crate trained and potty trained. While he was anxious in his crate his first night in a new space, he quickly fell into a routine and is doing great now! He LOVES to be in his foster family's fenced in backyard. He loves to explore the yard, smell all the smells and sun bathe the day away. Ren has been exposed to cats, dogs and younger kids in his foster home. While he has done well with everyone in his home, Ren's ideal home would have older children so that his Aussie tendency to herd doesn't come out to play! Ren is an adorable, smart boy that would love a family that will be active with him physically and mentally! If Ren sounds like a good fit for your family - apply today! His adoption fee is $275. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
