Story
Argos is a super sweet and easy going 5 month old puppy who is a little guy. He loves to be where his person is, either playing with toys at your feet or following you around. He will gladly jump into your lap, sometimes unexpectedly, when he wants pets. This charmer will give kisses upon request. He will go into the crate with treats but doesn’t always like to be in there but will eventually settle down. Argos sleeps through the night, no accidents. He is mostly potty trained, he just needs to be shown where he is to go out so he can alert you. His zoomies and playing with toys often come with sound effects and may need a reminder to calm down. He does respond to redirection or correction and will thrive with the typical puppy training. He also sits like a champ. Argos is more of a recreational walker, stopping to sit and take in the sights. He loves to play with other dogs. Outside he chases birds, bugs and squirrels so I am guessing he would chase a cat, which he has never met. We might not know what kind of dog he is but he sure is a fun one that may be too much for some kids. Is Argos the sweet, playful, lovable dose of puppy goodness your house needs? Apply to adopt Argos at www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt! He is microchipped, vaccinated, and neutered. His adoption fee is $335. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Story
Have you seen or heard of the famous Doofensmertz?! Did you know he has the sweetest personality and is friendly to everyone he meets?! He loves playing with people and dogs, but don’t get offended if he chooses a dog over you! He does prefer bigger dogs as he thinks smaller animals are food. It is also best that the other dog knows how to set limits as Doofensmertz could simply PLAY ALL DAY and would do best in an active family. Don’t let a little whining when he goes in the crate deter you from this adorable doggo! He is smart and may even let you teach him a few tricks other than the ones he already knows (sit and down)! He also walks well on a leash and with consistency has been accident free! He is easily redirected when he thinks a shoe is a toy. He is weaned off his anxiety medications and sometimes walks with some stiffness in his leg, but otherwise an agile, playful boy! If Doofensmertz seems like the right fit for you, please go to www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt. He is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. Adoption fee is $260.00. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Story
I adopted Cavalier (goes by Cav) as a puppy. He is 7 years old. He is a bit hyper and timid around new people but warms up quickly. The key with Cav is to ensure he is getting his exercise in. He loves hikes, walks and playing fetch. He does well around other dogs and kids. It’s very important for him to have a backyard to play in. Unfortunately I am only rehoming him due to an upcoming move and a lot more travel for work.

Burrows is crate trained but, of course, would rather be with his humans. He is housebroken, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Although he has poodle in him, he does shed. Just a dynamite dog !! If you would like to meet Burrows, you can contact Wonder Dogs Rescue at: hhtps://www.wonderdogsrescue.org and put in an application for a meet and greet. Adoption fee $300

Story
Everyone, meet Layne!!! Layne is the "interstate dog" that we were (finally) able to humanely trap. Not only is this boy gorgeous but he is sweet and smart. He knows commands but sometimes his young energy takes over and he just wants to play. He listens best after some fetch. He sits and waits....we are up to 10 seconds before I tell him OK to come out. He is crate and potty-trained. Our Vet. gave him a DOB of 03/11/21 so our boy is still a youngster. Will go to the back door at my place if he needs to go potty. He loves to walk but he does pull....have been trying to work with a basket muzzle wearing and no-pull harness or a halti. He startles with loud noises....like when I open my garage door he bolts into the back yard from the garage kennel if he is outside with me. He loves to roll on you for pets. He will come up on furniture for attention but happily lays and chills on the floor. Can be a bit barks and growls in his crate but we have been working on him being less crate scary....but as soon as the crate door opens he is such a good/happy boy with some energy. He doesn't realize his size sometimes and gets a bit excited about things....but has adjusted amazingly in my home. I cannot afford more than my 1 dog and 2 cats or he is definitely a keeper. Over time I just see him getting better and better and adjusting great into a home. He was running for almost 3 months or more until trapped. He is microchipped, neutered, vaccinated, etc. And ready to find his forever home. Story
Coming soon in Brookville, Ohio! Freddy is a 1 year old Aussie with a very unique, striking look! He is a very lovable, sweet and curious boy. Freddy is a serial licker. He loves to give kisses all day! He is looking for a family with a yard for him to run and bark at birds and squirrels. Freddy doesn’t care about tossing a ball around, he just wants to be with you. He is a total Velcro dog in true shepherd fashion. Freddy has been an amazing companion to his brother Teddy. He’s been great with his foster family’s 2 dogs. He is great with children but would do best with older children over 8 due to his strength. He is very interested in his fosters chickens and horses, too much for foster mom’s comfort. He may not be suitable for a home with small pets, no cats or cage dwelling pets. Freddy is crate trained and lets you know when it’s time to go outside first thing in the morning, He is fully house trained. He is extremely smart and would benefit from professional training. Freddy has a condition called Hypotrichosis which just means his body doesn’t grow a lot of hair follicles. He needs weekly bathes and moisturizing, which he is very good for! Foster mom uses good baby shampoo and coconut oil. Foster mom watches how much sun he gets, and makes sure to feed quality food with salmon oil treats. He needs a jacket on cold days, but not always. One perk to less hair, less shedding! He is up to date on all vaccines, and will be neutered 3/1. Freddy is available mid March! If you woule like to make this very special boy part of your family, please fill out the appliction: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts
