DOB 8-20-2023 Ralph is just a good boy, he gets along well with others, loves to run and play and is social. He is neutered, heartworm negative and has received a Proheart 6 injection. His adoption fee is 600.00, transport fee is 165.00. Our transport is HEARTS, they run every 2 weeks. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Meet Willy 🐾 (Formerly known as North—but that name never fit his personality!) You don’t have to adopt Willy-nilly… but we have a feeling you’ll fall for Willy pretty quickly. Willy is equal parts athlete, cuddle bug, and class clown. He’s always ready for a car ride, a trip to the dog park (or any park!), or a game of chase with his foster kid as they zoom around the living room on a scooter. He also has a hilarious habit of running full speed into walls, chairs, or occasionally even you while he’s playing—always providing plenty of laughs. He might sound the alarm with a big bark when someone unexpected arrives, but don’t let that fool you. It usually takes less than 10 seconds before he’s trying to convince that “stranger” to pet him. Willy genuinely loves everyone! He’s still working on keeping all four paws on the ground when greeting new friends, though it doesn’t help that he has a few overly enthusiastic canine roommates setting some pretty questionable examples. When playtime is over, you’ll usually find Willy snoozing in his signature position—flat on his back with all four paws sticking straight up in the air, completely carefree—or curled up beside you for a cuddle. Willy is crate trained, house trained, rides wonderfully in the car, and has lived successfully with other dogs, children, teenagers, and even chickens. After being abandoned as an adolescent puppy alongside his brother, Nilly, Willy spent far too long waiting in boarding before finally getting his chance in foster care. Now this handsome, perfectly sized young dog is more than ready for what he’s wanted all along: a family to grow old with, a couch to call his own, and someone to love with his whole goofy heart. I'm Gypsy, medium size gal about 2 years old who loves to play, wrestle and just let the "Good Times Roll" with familiar friends who want to play with me! Or, I'll play with myself too. Uncertain but thought to be a Hound/Border Collie mix.  Initially little over zealous, I'm now open to meeting new people/dogs out on walks. I still have some protectiveness or fear to outside distractions but showing improvement. I'm very loveable and affectionate to people and pups that are familiar to me. It's just that uncertainty that frightens me.  In my foster home, I'm appearing to be house trained, crate trained and walking much better on leash. A 4 ft fenced in yard is best for me, but I do get exercise if given routine walks.  Get your application in, then come and meet me for yourself. Work in progress but soo sooo many attributes fur sure. This sweet girl joins us from Parkersburg, WV, where she was an owner surrender.  We believe she is a possibly a Jack Russell Terrier mixed with border collie??  She is somewhere between 6 and 7 months old and weighs 21 pounds. We don't think she will get too much bigger (maybe wider...lol). Zuri is a social dog and has done well meeting new people. She may be hesitant for a couple of seconds, but then she's happy to meet you with a wagging tail! She has been around all sorts of sizes of dogs and has done well with all of them. She loves to play with other dogs, especially ones more her size, but she loves her people, too! The shelter has children volunteers who strictly come to play with the puppies, and Zuri was great with them. She also lived with a 3 year old child in her original home.   Being that she came from a home, she is well behaved in the house and will jump right into your car! She has had no accidents and seems to be housetrained, and does okay on a leash. The crate is not her favorite place, but most puppies don't seem to enjoy it in the beginning...lol. We have also found she seems to be drawn to men. She follows her foster dad around the house and whimpers when he leaves.  She is fine with women though! Overall, Zuri is a very good pup! She is not a high-strung dog and is actually pretty chill. If she is allowed to sleep in bed, she will sleep all night long! She would much rather be snuggled up with her people than stuck in a crate. ❤️ Zuri is a sweet, fairly social, easygoing puppy who is ready to find her forever family. She has so much to offer and would make a wonderful addition to the right home!
