Story
Buttercup, a 3-5 year old, tricolor Australian Shepard was recently pulled from a local shelter. She came in to the shelter so badly matted that much of the heavy feathering of her hind quarters had to be cut away. The shelter gave her the name Buttercup and since that flower is said to represent joy, purity, happiness and friendship as well as playfulness, cheerfulness and sunshine we felt that it fits her perfectly. She walks nicely on a leash, loads easily and is great riding in a car. She gets along well with other dogs and appears to be housebroken. She must have eaten very well while she was at the shelter because she was a little chunky when we pulled her on 4/5/23, weighing 48 pounds. She needs to lose a little weight but that shouldn’t be a problem since she now has a big back yard to run in and other dogs to play with. The current pictures were taken on 4/13/23 the day she was groomed. Buttercup is spayed, up to date on vaccinations including a Bordetella for kennel cough, is heartworm negative and has been microchipped. She is being kept on heartworm and flea and tick prevention to maintain her good health. Buttercup needs a home with a fenced back yard. She is being fostered in Arkansas. Her adoption donation is $665 which includes the $165 transport fee. If you would like to adopt Buttercup and let this sweetheart bring some sunshine into your life, please complete the first step in the adoption process by filling out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Niles and his litter mates are owner surrenders from Tennessee. They were an accidental litter and the owners reached out for help. The mom and dad will be staying with the owners and another rescue paid for them to be fixed. These puppies are Siberian Husky and Australian Shepherd dog mixes (photos of parents below). This litter was born on December 13th, 2022.Niles is a very sweet and friendly pup!  This boy has loved every person he has met!  He has done well with meeting other dogs; cats we do not know.  Niles is a bit of a goofball and loves to play :-).  He is an older pup and will need to be exercised regularly as all pups do.  Both house training and leash training will need continued work, but he is improving.  Honestly, Niles just has a fantastic temperament and he will make a very loving and sweet pet for a lucky family!!  We will not be able to get Niles neutered until the end of summer and want him to find his forever home sooner than later.  Therefore, we have decided to reduce the adoption fee to $350 since he is almost 6 months old.  The adopter will be responsible for having to get him neutered.  We apologize for the inconvenience.  Niles is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention.  If you are interested in adopting Niles, please submit an application on our website at https://worthytails.rescuegroups.org.  For any questions, please send an email jessie.wilson@comcast.net.Thank you for your interest in a rescue puppy!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 6, 2023, 7:06 am

Story
Oh boy, these babies are going to be a whole lot of fun! There are eight adorable puppies in this litter and each one of them is just as friendly, happy and loving as they can be. They are carefree, playful puppies and love nothing more than running around playing, napping and playing again. They also love people and they will come running as fast as they can, seeking a little of that one on one attention. A nice lady found them at an abandoned house, where they had apparently been dropped out. All this sweet girl needs now is an active family to call her own. Nellie Kate was born 5/13/22 making her 6 months old and weighing around 40 pounds at the time of this posting (11/22/22). She has been completely vetted, including spay, microchip, fecal test, all vaccinations, worming and she is on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400. Nellie Kate is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area every week and her fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we are not accepting applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine on this particular dog since we can’t adopt directly to those states.
