Story
Finnegan is a sweet boy - well behaved - yet, will be shy at first with new people, but not aggressively so. He always seems to enjoy children & other dogs. Finn has lived with cats in the past & was fine with them, although would not overly interact with them - except to sniff them briefly, as they might walk by. Unfortunately, he has had seizures in the past & now is given meds that have seemed to help greatly! Health concerns are not my reason for giving him up - 'it breaks my heart, to do so' - however, so many places to live at will not allow for pets/dogs especially. Finn has good energy for 10+ years - he's actually at a pretty perfect stage, right now, behavior wise. Even, his potty habits are great, really! Enjoys car rides & he gets around with no problems - and will interact with you, as you interact with him.

Story
Looking for a fun loving, kid loving Aussie puppy?  Meet Stefan! This yummy chocolate kiss is just a bit over 5 months old. Tragically, Stefan was attacked by a much larger dog prior to coming to us.  He has put that past behind him and has worked with one of our trainers on his manners and basic obedience.  Stefan could do well with a confidant adult  dog, or as the king of his castle.  Aussies  are high energy dogs, breed  experience is preferred.  These are not apartment dogs and need lots of exercise and mental stimulation.  Typical of his breed, Stefan is very smart and learns quickly. His foster momma has this to say about our handsome hunk of yumminess: Hi my name is Stefan and am said to be an Australian Shepherd mix (breed experience a plus).  I have had kind of a rough start to life but I don't let that get me down.  I am about 5 months old and was found on the streets of SC with a friend and some bite wounds.  I absolutely love being with my people large and small.  I always lean in for a hug and I love knowing you're close by (have to make up for all that lost time early on, am I right?!) I enjoy running around with my hairless foster siblings and I'm a natural when it comes to fetch.  My foster momma says I'm learning super quickly and I am eager to please.  I am potty trained and have also learned sit, down, and (almost there) stay.  I am a great bedtime buddy and don't make a peep in my crate at night.  I will also roll over for a belly rub any chance I get!  I usually get the zoomies in the early evening in the backyard, I hear it's the cutest thing.  I could benefit from an adult confident dog showing me this place isn't so scary.  Would love to have a meet and greet  to see if there's chemistry.  If this sounds like a match made in heaven, after you're done gazing into my soulful eyes, fill out the app so we can make it official.  If I'm not what you're looking for, please share my post so I can find my forever home ♥&#239&#184&#143 Stefan is utd in his vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Wren came to us from an Alabama shelter partner very pregnant. She had puppies on February 17, 2023 in her fosters home. Wren is a very shy dog who will need a quiet, patient family with no young children (she is good with children but shy around loud noises and fast movements). She will also do best in a household with at least one other dog and requires a fenced in yard. She is extremely sweet and both housetrained and crate trained.  WREN is a wonderful dog (mom to the W Puppies posted previously)who will be spayed the first week of May and then ready for her forever home. She is believed to be a bit over one year.  WREN is house and crate trained, walks well on a leash, and loves to snuggle. She is very shy at first but once she warms up she will be your best friend and give you the BEST whole body wags.  She would be WONDERFUL for an older/ retired couple. She is good with dogs and has not been cat tested but we think she’d do well and responds well to correction.  **She is heartworm positive (not contagious) and will begin treatment towards the end of May. If you are local to us and can get her to our veterinarian in New Britain,  PA, we will consider foster to adopt.  Wren is now up to date with vaccines and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $300.00. If interested you are interested in adopting Wren, please visit our website www.LHARinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application.    ##1634727##

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Zeus. His came to us from a hoarding situation.  We were told he is a purebred Mini Australian Shepherd. He is about 5 years old and weighs about 28 lbs. Zeus is quite friendly compared to most of the dogs from this home. He was completely covered in fleas and had some hair loss because of it. He also tested positive for Lyme disease. Now that he no longer has fleas, he is a much happier guy. He gets along well with other dogs. Zeus is a little bit scared of new things and places but does walk on a leash. He will do best in a home with a fenced in yard. He does really like attention once he is comfortable with you and should do ok by himself or with another friendly dog. Even though he was in a home he will need some work on housebreaking. He is going to need a home without cats..  Zeus is scheduled to be neutered on June 15, 2023 and will be ready for a forever home.  His adoption fee is $300.00. If you are interested in adopting Zeus, please visit our website www.LHARinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application.  ##1731587##
