Story
REPORTED BY FORMER OWNER: Indoor/outdoor dog. House trained. Friendly toward people. Good with older, dog-savvy children only. High energy level. Loves playing Frisbee and with Chuck-it balls. Loud cars and motorcycles make him nervous. Previously lived with two other dogs. OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Friendly boy! Walks well on the leash. Smart! Knows the sit, shake and down commands. Was relinquished by prior owner due to a mild bite to the hand when he was being brushed. A bite disclosure will need to be signed upon adoption. Would most likely do okay with other dogs. If you have another dog, we recommend a meet and greet. Would most likely chase a cat. Loves attention; rolls over for love. Weighs 47 pounds; $25 to adopt.

Jack is 2 years old, full of energy and loves people. He needs to be with a family or person that has time to spend with him, and lots of room for him to run and play. He loves to go anywhere anytime, dog park, walks, runs, mountianbiking, paddleboarding, and his favorite is when he gets to go camping and hiking. Story
Sawyer is a super sweet, shy guy looking for people, and hopefully a well-adjusted dog friend, to help him grow into a confident pup! This 2 year old husky mix came to CAWS from a hoarding situation, so he's used to being around other dogs but needs help learning to socialize with people and new situations. He's a gentle boy who gets along well with older children and teens, but finds young children way too unexpected and, frankly, a little frightening. Sawyer's favorite thing to do is to lay on the back porch of his foster home and watch the neighborhood activities. Because of his history, Sawyer can get a little selfish about his things and his people, so he needs an experienced person who will help him learn to share! Won't you help Sawyer on his journey?Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Story
Hi! My name is Cisco (short for Francisco) and I am a Aussie x red heeler mix pup. As far as herding puppies go, I'm pretty laid back. But, I'm definitely no couch potato! I love to play and wrestle with my foster brothers. And, I am really good at taking cues from them, when my puppy antics have become a little too much. My foster mom describes me as smart, athletic, fun and supper cuddly. I'm a social butterfly. I love to meet and play with the neighborhood kids that come to visit me and my brother. I would do well in a home with other dogs and older, dog-savvy kids. I have never met cats; but, because of my herding dog heritage, I would probably want to chase them. My ideal home would be one with a fenced yard to keep me safe while I play and an active family who will take me on long walks and hikes or other outdoor adventures on the weekends. I am crate-trained, about 95% house-broken and up-to-date on my vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting me, please contact kathie@herdinghaven.org

Came in with another dog a little larger than him and they got along well. Weighs 53 pounds; $25 to adopt.
