OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Loves people – when he sees them, his backend starts wiggling! He is playful and energetic; enjoys playing with toys; but can be a little mouthy with them at times. Walks well on the leash and knows the sit and shake commands. Treat motivated and is gentle when taking them from your hand. Would most likely chase a cat if the had the chance, but appears friendly toward the other dogs here at the shelter. Weighs 44 pounds; $50 to adopt.

Margo is a sweet 3 year old border collie Australian Shepard mix. Very high energy and loves to play fetch. She is very athletic and loves to spend time outside and makes an amazing adventure pup. I am looking for someone who has experience with and understands the specific needs of a cattle dog. Margo is very loyal and loving but has difficulty sharing a space with other pets. She is weary of strangers and this has made it difficult to live with roommates. I would love if someone who has a home with a yard and time to spend with her, she thrives in a 1 on 1 environment. She has been living with a foster we were hoping would be permanent for the last 6 months. The family friend who has been fostering her is losing her apartment and moving into her car for the foreseeable future and doesn't have the means to look after her going forward. She has sprung this new on us very last moment, and so we are looking for a solution with urgency.

This 2 year old husky mix came to CAWS from a hoarding situation, so he's used to being around other dogs but needs help learning to socialize with people and new situations. He's a gentle boy who gets along well with older children and teens, but finds young children way too unexpected and, frankly, a little frightening. Sawyer's favorite thing to do is to lay on the back porch of his foster home and watch the neighborhood activities. Because of his history, Sawyer can get a little selfish about his things and his people, so he needs an experienced person who will help him learn to share!
