Margo is a sweet 3 year old border collie Australian Shepard mix. Very high energy and loves to play fetch. She is very athletic and loves to spend time outside and makes an amazing adventure pup. I am looking for someone who has experience with and understands the specific needs of a cattle dog. Margo is very loyal and loving but has difficulty sharing a space with other pets. She is weary of strangers and this has made it difficult to live with roommates. I would love if someone who has a home with a yard and time to spend with her, she thrives in a 1 on 1 environment. She has been living with a foster we were hoping would be permanent for the last 6 months. The family friend who has been fostering her is losing her apartment and moving into her car for the foreseeable future and doesn't have the means to look after her going forward. She has sprung this new on us very last moment, and so we are looking for a solution with urgency.

REPORTED BY FORMER OWNER: Indoor/outdoor dog. House trained. Friendly toward people. Good with older, dog-savvy children only. High energy level. Loves playing Frisbee and with Chuck-it balls. Loud cars and motorcycles make him nervous. Previously lived with two other dogs. OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Friendly boy! Walks well on the leash. Smart! Knows the sit, shake and down commands. Was relinquished by prior owner due to a mild bite to the hand when he was being brushed. A bite disclosure will need to be signed upon adoption. Would most likely do okay with other dogs. If you have another dog, we recommend a meet and greet. Would most likely chase a cat. Loves attention; rolls over for love. Weighs 47 pounds; $25 to adopt.

OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Loves people – when he sees them, his backend starts wiggling! He is playful and energetic; enjoys playing with toys; but can be a little mouthy with them at times. Walks well on the leash and knows the sit and shake commands. Treat motivated and is gentle when taking them from your hand. Would most likely chase a cat if the had the chance, but appears friendly toward the other dogs here at the shelter. Weighs 44 pounds; $50 to adopt.

REPORTED BY FORMER OWNER:Loki came in with his friend, Aspen because their prior owner could no longer care for them. Good being left alone for up to 6 hours per day. Previously lived with older, respectful children and did well with them. Enjoys playing with toys. Not a fan of being home alone, but tolerates it. OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: A little shy at first, but warms up easily. Sweet and smart! Walks well on the leash, house trained, and knows the sit, shake and down commands. Not a fan of fast movements or loud noises; would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy children. Treat motivated and is very gentle when taking them from your hand. Is curious and likes to know what is going on. Friendly toward other dogs and doesn’t seem to mind cats. Weighs 46 pounds.If adopted with Aspen, adoption fee for both is $40.If adopted separately, Loki’s adoption fee is $25
