Story
Ruby is a low energy dog who enjoys being with her people. She`d love to spend her days right by your side, she doesn`t care if that`s settled in for a movie night or going out for a hike. Her foster reports that she is house trained and crate trained. While she would prefer to be with you Ruby has not been destructive or anxious when left free roaming the home. Ruby would do well in a home with another low to medium energy dog, cats, and older dog savvy kids. She is shy around new people and animals, and does get scared of fast movements or loud noises.4 Year old spayed female. $25 to adopt

Story
This stunning guy is Misio, pronounced 'Misho' which is Polish for Teddy Bear. Misio is a 7.5 year old Australian Shepherd who is currently on a diet to get to his ideal weight of about 37 pounds. Misio is looking for a patient and mature household to live the rest of his years. He is working through some trust issues and is learning to let his guard down. But once he knows you are safe, he will be yours forever. Misio likes to be near people but isnt overly cuddly, he is content to be in his own space near you. He'd do best in a home with adults only and no other animals. Misio is still very active and he would love to be your hiking, camping, or running companion! He is very outgoing and loves to chase a ball around the yard. He is also very smart and picks up on training quickly. Misio needs a forever home that can provide him with mental stimulation and a physical outlet. He can be chill in the house, but is also not a couch potato. He is house trained and crate trained and walks well on leash. With a little bit of training, a dash of patience, and a person who will be active with him, Misio will be an amazing companion for years to come! Dogs are not placed on a first- come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting Misio, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-application If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationOctober 9, 2024, 6:51 am

Story
Kayli came to her foster mom sick and at a very unhealthy weight. After a lengthy nutrition and weight loss program this adorable girl is ready to find her forever home! She was at a point where she could barely walk and now she loves a nice race around the backyard or to fetch her toys for you. She is a supreme cuddle bug and can't get close enough to her people. Tummy rubs might be her favorite thing and if you pet her she will adorably fling herself to the ground to better accommodate you. She loves walks but is also content to just stay home with you, too. She does have a problem with excited barking but she calms down after a short time. She just loves every single person she meets and can't control her excitement at first. She also loves children and children love her but because of her initial excited barking she can sometimes scare them so an initial leash greeting would be best with small children. She loves other dogs but if they get in her face too much she can sometimes be a little snippy. She has done well in her foster home with another older dog and, for a short stint, she had a blast with a big, goofy young boy that was recently adopted. Kayli has a 'cherry eye' (where the tear duct has popped out under the eyelid) that her owner chose not to fix as it doesn't bother her at all, but because of that it has been too long to do anything about it. It doesn't bother her and requires no attention. Would like to meet this cute girl?Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Story
Riley Ray is a 8 year 60 pound Australian Shepherd eloquent and majestic gal, tri colored. She is totally house trained, gets along with all the other dogs in her foster home, male and female, big and small. Riley Ray came to be a CAWS dog as an owner surrender from a very high kill shelter in NM. We don’t know the circumstances after eight years she had to be surrendered but we are utterly the most fortunate rescue to be able to find this magnificent lady a new forever home and life. She is perfect, still has energy and helps her foster mom and the other furkids work during the day, she is such a talent in the work force, whew. She gets in a crate when it is time to eat and then out when she is done to go out and do her business. She has not had a single accident in her foster home, wonderful wonderful girl Riley has no known medical concerns or issue, woo hoo. Riley lounges on the carpet til she gets let out in the back yard. Her foster mom tried to get her to come on the couch with everyone else but so far she hasn’t, she may feel more comfortable and join everyone later on. She rides wonderfully in the car, sits in the backseat. This magnificent lady just needs to find the home she can call her own, which she is so deserving of. She will need occasional brushings or a spa day to stay beautiful. Story
I'm Ms Twitchell and I will teach you all about love, fun and happiness. I'm ~11 years old, aussie / heeler mix and just the most beautiful queen there is. I may be a 'senior' but I still have a lot of playful energy. I love going for walks, hanging out and exploring in the yard, being your shadow. I love to eat and get treats too :) I do have to take daily meds for my heart murmur and my arthritis but it doesn't slow me down. I get along well with all my foster doggy siblings, big and small. I even get along with my bunny foster brother. I don't live with cats but I'm so chill, I think I'll be ok with them too. I would be a great family dog, but I do love treats so much that I am still learning not to chomp on someone's hand when they have what I think are treats in their hand. I also have some hearing loss and don't like to be startled. I am not great with personal space so I may knock little ones down. So for now, no small kids for me. Overall, I am such a wonderful girl who just needs a loving and fun family to spend the rest of my retirement with!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Story
I need to rehome our sweet mini Aussie girl. She is almost 4 years old, spayed, with vaccines all up to date. She is the definition of a velcro dog and is the most loving, cuddly girl. She does have anxiety and is very territorial and protective of me. She is a totally different dog when she is not around me and will play with dogs when I'm not there. If I'm with her, she will bark at other dogs. She gets used to new people but it generally takes her a day or two. Small rehoming fee applies. Feel free to pm me with any question.

Story
We love Mavrik!! Absolutely love him! He’s hyper and playful and just loves attention but unfortunately we didn’t realize life was about to get so busy and he doesn’t get the attention he deserves, I would love for him to have a home with someone who is willing to train him, take him on adventures and just play with him and love him! He’s so good with kids, hyper but only because he doesn’t get out enough, house trained rings his bell when he needs to go, sits and waits for his food but he is still a puppy. Mavrik is only about a year old but done growing at 20lbs. I would love to keep him but my partner has allergies and we are just too busy with sports and working a second job and the landlord has changed the lease that requires a $400 deposit for him which we just cannot do at this time. Mavrik comes with his kennel and all his toys and blankets, his bowl, leashes, everything we have for him.
