Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Xena! Xena is about 14 weeks old and weighs about 13 lbs. We guess Xena to be an Aussie Shepherd/Retriever Mix (JUST A GUESS). Xena is an energetic puppy who is smart as a whip. Xena had already learned "sit" at just 8 weeks old. Xena loves running around the backyard and exploring every inch of space. Xena will require another dog (between the ages of 2-5 years) who is confident. Xena requires another dog like this to help continue to build her confidence as she is a bit fearful at times. Xena is working on her house training and crate training and doing very well. Since Xena is a baby puppy she will need an adopter who is at home a good portion of the day each day to continue training - No exceptions! This puppy has received vet care from a veterinarian, is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and microchipped. This puppy will need to be spayed at 6 months of age. The Adoption Fee for this puppy is $400.00. The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
Cowboy is a sweet affectionate young boy. He is very smart too. Maybe it's the Aussie in him...he loves to play and run. He is good with dogs but we do not recommend him to a family with cats. He does not chase them but does seem to have little bit too much interest in them in the home. Cowboy is good with children too; we do not recommend him for a family with smaller children. He does not like to be confined at our Vet's Office in their kennels which is where he is now due to a lack of enough foster homes. Cowboy just wants to be with his human. He will stay close to you inside and outside the home. Please consider this sweet boy as a new member of your family. He knows how to sit and shake on command - he seeks to please his human and just wants to be with his owner. RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England/ Virginia area and delivered in Pennsylvania, Virginia and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. To get a application please email: saveapreciouspaw@gmail.com You can also visit our website Rpacirescue.org to fill out an adoption application

Story
Meet Mountain Bluebird! This adorable, energetic little puppy is full of curiosity and can’t wait to meet you! She'll come bounding over, showering you with kisses. Mountain loves to run, play, and explore, and she’s on the lookout for a running buddy who can keep up with her lively spirit. A backyard or space to run around would be just perfect for her! She’s making great strides with potty training and will give you a heads-up when she needs to go. Right now, she’s learning the ropes about what’s okay to chew on and what’s not. With a bit of training, she’ll thrive! Just a heads-up, she's a bit sassy if she doesn’t get enough nap or playtime, so make sure you give her both! We believe she’s a mix of Australian Shepherd and Labrador Retriever. Both breeds are known for their high energy and intelligence, making them fantastic companions with the right training from a young age. If you'd like to learn more about these breeds, we’ve included some links below. https://www.chewy.com/education/dog-breeds/australian-shepherd  https://www.chewy.com/education/dog-breeds/labrador-retriever Adoption Day: June 21st at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM — an approved adopter must be present to adopt. Some pups may stick around until 12:00 PM for the public event—check our Facebook page closer to the date to see if this pup will be attending the extra fun!  ##2345653##

Story
Meet Chip! This handsome boy is being fostered in East TN Athens. Out of state welcome. The adoption fee listed on adopt a pet includes transport to your area. We use Rescue Riders for all our transport needs because they are the best. Chip is such a sweet handsome boy. He is very affectionate and playful. He is a young boy almost a year old and curious as they come. He had the head tilt move to expert level. He wags his super short tail all the time. He’s a happy go lucky kind of boy. He was going to be euthanized due to time and space at our local shelter so we pulled him out to save him. He was adopted and then returned we were told he had some food guarding tendencies. Well we don’t see this at all in fact we accidentally forgotten on a few occasions about that and petted him while eating or moved his bowl while he was eating and he could have cared less. We are not sure if this was directed towards other dogs or not but we do not feed them together here. He has also not been possessive of any toys at all. He plays well with other dogs large and small. He is crate trained and is doing excellent at house training. He is still just a young pup so he would need to be treated like a puppy. Don’t leave things out for him to get into. Take him out to potty in his new home and praise him for going on the new yard etc. he’s a great dog and will make a lucky family very happy. We think he would do best with older kids because he does play pretty hard and would knock the smaller ones around. Apply at petpath.org.

Tommy came from a high kill shelter in TX, where not many get out of. We saw pictures of him and thought what a stunning dog. Tommy is a typical herding dog and will stay right by your side. He loves to run and play and very smart. He would love a fenced in yard to play with a buddy. If you are interested in this handsome fellow please email us at Doginghamrescue@aol.com so we can send you an application. We are based in the Nashville, TN area and have most of our dogs transported up north. The $450 includes the adoption and transport fee (will have a health certificate too). The transport fee ($250) is not refundable if things do not work out.
