With her striking, unique coat and sweet disposition, Precious lives up to her name. She needs a moment to warm up in new environments, but once she feels comfortable, she is a delight! This affectionate young lady gets along wonderfully with other dogs, has fun with young children, and quickly makes friends with everyone she meets. Precious knows to ask to be let out for potty breaks, loves to run around with dog friends and go for walks with human friends. Her absolute favorite though, is a good snuggle, and getting all the pets. With a loving family to show her the ropes help her build confidence, Precious will really shine!

Bert is an energetic 3-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with the heart of a giant marshmallow. He’s a friendly, people-loving goofball who thinks life is best lived at full speed—unless it’s couch-snuggle time, in which case he melts into you like warm butter. He loves meeting new humans and bonds with his people quickly. This handsome guy is an adventurer at heart. He’s thoroughly enjoyed park strolls, backyard zoomies, fetch marathons, and sniffing every interesting smell within a 5-mile radius. He’s also impressively smart—he already knows “sit,” “heel,” “lie down,” and “come,” and will stop what he’s doing with just a clap (basically dog magic). Bert can get a bit overexcited around some dogs and when he spots squirrels or birds, so walks with him are never boring. Because of his abundant zest for life, a home with adults or older teens is ideal. Once he burns off his energy, he settles into a calm, easygoing companion who loves napping nearby and checking in for the occasional dose of affection. At his core, Bert is a sweet, affectionate, hilarious pup who wants a home where he can run, play, explore, and then flop dramatically onto you for love. Jetson is a lovable and polite 2 year old Aussie Shepard Mix. He loves his soft toys (his babies) and cuddling up with a friend. He has lots of energy and loves showing off his jet speed when told he is the fastest puppy in the word!      Jetson is very calm when inside and doesn't bark at strangers or other animals. He loves being brushed and showing off his newly learned tricks and is quickly learning all basic commands. He doesn't pull on his leash and even waits on the top of the stairs for whoever is walking him. Meet SKYE! Skye is a gorgeous 8 month old, 40 pound red and white Australian Shepherd/Collie mix. Her freckled nose. black eyeliner, and fluffy tail with its white tip add to her beautiful looks. She is very sweet and lovable and is crate trained. But at less than a year, Skye has energy, puppy playfulness and excitability. She will need exercise, patience and reinforcement of training so this young dog can become the well-behaved dog she can be. She will do best in a home with active adults and maybe older children due to her jumping. Skye loves to go for walks! After exercise, Skye can also chill out comfortably and will cuddle with you during quiet times. Skye is smart, but, as with any young dog, she will need to continue with some basic training. Skye ended up at a rural North Carolina shelter, and we can only imagine how she wondered why her family did not come find her and take her home. She is so happy that PetConnect has come to her rescue and brought her to the DC area to find a forever family that will give her the attention that she deserves. Skye would love to curl up with you to hang out on a cold winter night!
