Story
Lora Lee is a very sweet dog that is just 2 years old and weighs 42 pounds.  She is said to be an Aussie mix with some Terrier.  Whatever the mix is we think she is a most unusual and truly a beautiful girl who well with other dogs in her foster home.  She is a friend to all and apparently she is house trained as long as taken out regular. Lola Lee is crate trained but cannot be left for long hours in the crate.  She is not leash trained  but is trying to improve.   We are requesting that applicants have a fenced yard for her because she is an active girl that needs to run and play with freedom and not at the end of a leash only. This beauty loves to cuddle and be by your side like your BFF and shadow. If you have another dog that would be great for her to have a playmate that can help her wear out her energy every day.  Lola Lee is a great girl and she is going to need an active family that can challenge and meet her need for exercise and be able to keep up with her.   She is really not a dog for a retirement couple that are ready to have a more laidback dog with fewer exercise demands.  If you are interested in this girl please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.December 30, 2024, 2:10 pm

Story
Sweet Skye Man has come to us as one of three Aussie mix older pups that are still impressionably young at just 8 months and 19 pounds. This handsome, yet shy boy, is looking for a family that will fill his soul with love and affirmation and confidence building lessons every day. He and his siblings were raised in an outdoor kennel with little to no love and attention. They were merely fed, but yet eventually were released to our Critter Cavalry Rescue foster mom.  Skye Man  is a sponge for life lessons and he is so receptive to human touch and love.  He is the smaller pup from his litter of three that we have in our care now. He is comfortable in a crate, but needs leash training.  There's so many exciting experiences and a wonderful family waiting for him out there. All he needs to have is the moment he is discovered and someone contacts Critter Cavalry rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to ask if they can adopt him. We know that day is coming soon. He is fully vetted and neutered and ready to hop on the van to the home in the Northeast region or to just merely meet a new family in Tennessee where he resides currently. If you were interested please email us at the address we just gave.  Be sure to let us know where you live, city and state. We will be quickly responsive.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 9, 2025, 5:29 pm

Story
Meet Alice, our darling brown and white girl that has the most memorable face and sky high ears you have ever seen.   This girl was born around the middle of May and is thought to be combination of lots of breed influences.   For starters we think that Cattle Dog and Aussie might be a mixture that are dominant for her.  She is one smart little girl that adorable her foster family and all the other big dogs (several German Shepherds are her mentors and big sisters) and many foster cats are present as well in the home.  Her boundless happy puppy energy catapults her through the days as she grows in to a true beauty inside and out.  She is so playful and loving and always ready for the next BIG ADVENTURE!  She loves to chase toys and explore the backyard for new things to do and maybe a few squirrels to make friends with.  She absorbs whatever you teach her like a sponge.  Her foster mom is an excellent trainer and knows the importance of teaching manners and commands.  Her friendly nature makes her easy to meet new people and she is does not shy away from new experiences either.  She is a snuggler when she is tired and very loving as she sits beside you to watch a good TV show.  This girl will be an excellent recall pup since she is learning that now and is so eager to please and be with her humans.  If you are interested in this beauty who will grow to be a 45-50 pound girl, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   Let us know where you live: city and state when you are inquiring. Story
Sierra is a precious beauty that was born about the first of October, 2024 and received very little attention as a young pup.  She appears to be an australian shepherd mixed with collie, and it's beautifully marked and soft to the touch.  She was taken from a young family that had raised her for a little while, but really didn't give her the kind of cuddles and hugs that she is getting now.  Sierra loves to play with the cat. Stories and it's learning how to be a beloved puppy in her foster home.  She's learning that crate training and it has limited leash experience, but she is a sponge to learning and definitely absorbing all the love that a family could give her.  We are looking for someone that will not be crating her for 9 hours a day Monday thru Friday.  She would be wonderful with children or no children. And would a door having a dog companion or fun  dog play dates. She is so smart and learning very quickly in her foster home and has a smile for everyone. She is doing great with crate training and has learned to let you know when she needs to go out. Sierra would do best with a family who will be patient and gentle with her and who spend lots of time with her training and building her confidence.   She will most likely be a 50 pound dog and a true beauty.  If you are interested in this sweet girl, please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. She is currently in Tennessee, and we transport northward.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 16, 2025, 1:10 pm

We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.

Story
Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Fairfax, VA Gus is an 4 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 40 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Gus is nervous around strangers! No children or dogs, due to his reactivity! He hasn’t been tested around cats. Several years ago, Gus escaped from the yard while someone else was watching him. A stranger found him and went to grab his collar, which caused Gus to bite the stranger. Gus is currently on gabapentin, clonidine, and Sertaline for his reactivity. His owner says that when he isn’t triggered, he is loving, loyal, smart, playful, and energetic! The owner is surrendering him because he doesn’t do well with their young children. If you think you can provide a great home for Gus, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Gus. Owner’s Contact Information: Devin at elliott.family.8823@gmail.com

Story
Meet Charlie Barkley.  He is a sweet, playful awesome dog who is very easy to love.  He walks on a leash but needs additional training as he pulls.  He knows some basic commands but does need a bit more training.  Charlie is a 1 to 1 1/2 year old neutered male who weighs approximately 52 lbs.  He was originally adopted by a family that decided they no longer wanted him so they dumped him in a south Nashville neighborhood.  Charlie was found by a nice family that took him but cannot keep him because they have older cats.  They would love to add him to their family but it just win't work out.  He's been vet checked,  is current on his vaccines and is in excellent health.  Charlie is full of puppy energy and ready to play ball with the children.  He needs a younger active and energetic family who can  give him the exercise and play that he needs.  A fecned in yard is a MUST for Charlie.  When not playing, by the way ball is his favorite game, he loves to snuggle and get belly rubs. Charlie is patiently waiting for his forever family to find him.  He would be a great family dog and love to have a home for the holidays.  To be considered for his forever fmaily and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Charlie is in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)  November 19, 2024, 4:27 pm

We are calling them "Border Bullies"! Mama is a Border Collie, dad is a Pit Bull! I cannot imagine how smart these pups will be! They were born on October 13th. The owner of Nelly (mom) and Bruce (dad) unfortunately wound up in jail and obviously couldn't take care of this little family so they were surrendered to us on the day they were born. Both mom and dad have beautiful temperaments so I am quite sure these pups will be amazing! They will be available for adoption by January 11, 2025. They are all spayed/neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. How can you resist!! PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION! ADOPTION FEE $650
