Story
Cowboy is a sweet affectionate young boy. He is very smart too. Maybe it's the Aussie in him...he loves to play and run. He is good with dogs but we do not recommend him to a family with cats. He does not chase them but does seem to have little bit too much interest in them in the home. Cowboy is good with children too; we do not recommend him for a family with smaller children. He does not like to be confined at our Vet's Office in their kennels which is where he is now due to a lack of enough foster homes. Cowboy just wants to be with his human. He will stay close to you inside and outside the home. Please consider this sweet boy as a new member of your family. He knows how to sit and shake on command - he seeks to please his human and just wants to be with his owner. RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England/ Virginia area and delivered in Pennsylvania, Virginia and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. To get a application please email: saveapreciouspaw@gmail.com You can also visit our website Rpacirescue.org to fill out an adoption application

IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Xena! Xena is about 9 1/2 weeks old and weighs about 7 lbs. We guess Xena to be an Aussie Shepherd/Retriever Mix (JUST A GUESS). Xena is an energetic puppy who is smart as a whip. Xena has already learned "sit" at just 8 weeks old. Xena loves children and is very sweet and gentle with them. Xena loves running around the backyard and exploring every inch of space. Xena would do best with another young and confident dog in her forever home to help build her confidence. Xena is working on her house training and crate training and doing very well. Since Xena is a baby puppy she will need an adopter who is at home a good portion of the day each day to continue training - No exceptions! This puppy has received vet care from a veterinarian, is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and microchipped. This puppy will need to be spayed at 6 months of age. The Adoption Fee for this puppy is $400.00. The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
Meet Mountain Bluebird! This adorable, energetic little puppy is full of curiosity and can’t wait to meet you! She'll come bounding over, showering you with kisses. Mountain loves to run, play, and explore, and she’s on the lookout for a running buddy who can keep up with her lively spirit. A backyard or space to run around would be just perfect for her! She’s making great strides with potty training and will give you a heads-up when she needs to go. Right now, she’s learning the ropes about what’s okay to chew on and what’s not. With a bit of training, she’ll thrive! Just a heads-up, she's a bit sassy if she doesn’t get enough nap or playtime, so make sure you give her both! We believe she’s a mix of Australian Shepherd and Labrador Retriever. Both breeds are known for their high energy and intelligence, making them fantastic companions with the right training from a young age. If you'd like to learn more about these breeds, we’ve included some links below. https://www.chewy.com/education/dog-breeds/australian-shepherd  https://www.chewy.com/education/dog-breeds/labrador-retriever Adoption Day: May 24th at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM — an approved adopter must be present to adopt. Some pups may stick around until 12:00 PM for the public event—check our Facebook page closer to the date to see if this pup will be attending the extra fun!  ##2345653##

Story
Aramis is a sweet loving boy who has a wagging tail at all times, and the cutest little ears that will stand straight up at times. He is the more outgoing one between him and his brother Blackey. When he gets excited he has the cutest little hops that he does around your feet, and loves to give your hand kisses. He seems to talk when he yawns with the cutest little noises. He gets along well with dogs of all ages in the house, and seems to do well with cats in the house as well. He is exposed to school aged children daily, and also does well with them! He is pretty laid back for a puppy. He likes to run around the yard, and play with toys and the other dogs, and then is ready to come inside and lay down and cuddle up next to you for a nap. He is crate trained, and sleeps for 8+ hours during the night without accidents or whining. He is also crated during the work day for 5 hours with no accidents. We are working on house training and it is going very well. We are also working on the “sit” command. Overall Aramis is your typical curious loving little puppy. Accuracy is not guaranteed; however, information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge.  For more information on the pet, please send an email to info@aforeverhome.org March 25, 2025, 3:37 pm
