Story
Meet Allie! Allie is a wonderful 5-year-old dog who gets along great with other dogs and children. She enjoys playing, going for walks, and snuggling up when it’s time to relax. Allie loves being near you, but she’s not overly clingy—perfect for someone looking for a semi-snuggly companion. She simply enjoys being wherever you are and would make a loyal and loving friend. Allie is estimated to be 5 years old and 44 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. This animal is a Courtesy Listing. This animal resides with his or her current owner and if you are interested in potentially giving this animal a home you must contact them at adinamaki@gmail.com. Placement decisions are strictly between you and the current owner. Safe Hands Rescue does not have legal or physical custody of this animal and is not responsible for him or her.

Story
My name is Francis, or as my foster mom calls me, Franny. I am a Basset Hound/Lab mix born approx 6/7/24. I'm a bit on the shy side, but once I come around, I want to be near you all the time. I am potty trained and do well going potty on a schedule. I'm good with other cats, and my current foster home has dogs of all sizes. It is unknown how I am with kids, so a home with dog-savvy kids who know how to treat a shy dog would be best.  I do well in a crate with a treat, but I do have a bit of separation anxiety. I would do well in a home with no shared walls, no apartment, or townhouse. I love walks on the leash and car rides. I cannot wait to find my forever family!       Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:  $575.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 17, 2025, 3:58 pm

Story
Lynn, Lynne, or Lynnie is a lovely, beautiful little girl. She is about a year old and weighs 27 pounds. She  has the face and voice of a beagle (she sometimes bays but other than if she's startled by something, she doesn't bark much). She's shaped like a dachshund - as "they" say, a dog and a half long and half a dog tall.    Lynnie is very affectionate and loves being right next to her person or on their lap.   She is housebroken and after a few minutes she settles down and is quiet in her crate. She's is in her crate when no one is home and for meals but sleeps in bed with the other dogs and me overnight. Someone is home most of the time here and the dogs go out quite a few times during the day and evening.  She's very curious about what's going on in and outside the yard when we are outside.  She loves to run and play in the yard but can also be lazy in the house. She particularly  loves chewing on nylabones.  Lynnie is quiet in the car, traveling in a crate, but hasn't yet been for a ride with a doggie seatbelt.   Lynnie has been for several walks on a harness but does pull so she needs continued work with that.    Lynnie is very good with the other dogs in the pack but she is not good with cats and maybe not with other small animals either. She hasn't been around children since she's been with us. She might prefer women as she seems anxious around men.     Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $400 plus taxMeet Moto! Moto is a sweet, low-rider pup with short basset hound legs and a laid-back personality. He gets along great with other dogs and loves to follow his foster sibling around the yard—he can even walk right under her belly! Moto is crate trained and settles in comfortably at night or when left alone. He often puts himself to bed in the evening and spends much of the day relaxing in his crate or nearby while his foster works from home. While recovering from a minor limp, Moto is on a short rest period with medication, but he’s eager to explore and play when he’s up for it. He’s affectionate and regularly seeks out pets and attention. He doesn’t seem to know basic commands like 'sit' or 'down' yet, but he’s a gentle, willing companion. His bark is deep and loud—used sparingly—but may not be ideal for apartment living. Moto would thrive in a calm home where he can enjoy both quiet companionship and playtime with a dog friend.
