Stumpy is living in a very rural area with a family that asked for help in finding him a new home. He's used to living a family life with children and loves the children. He would be best as an only dog. He's a mixed dog but a popular mix, called a Bassador. The Bassador temperament can vary a lot depending on whether they take after their Lab or Basset Hound parent more. Generally, they are sociable and loving. We are fortunate to know how Stumpy has done, living with a family. Bassadors love attention, especially from their favorite person. If you want a dog with a very unique look who’s loyal to a fault, the Bassador could be the dog for you! Stumpy's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. Rider is a real low-rider. He weighs 47 lbs and has the body of a Bassett or maybe Dachshund. He is super friendly and loves everyone, cats, dogs, adults and kids. He is working on his leash walking and making progress. He is medium energy and likes to trot around the fenced yard with his husky foster sister and doxy foster brother. He is 100% crate-trained and appears to be house trained. He loves his squeaky toys and treats. When not crated he is non-destructive and loves to chill out. His favorite spot is on anyone's lap. Our dogs are fostered and physically located in NC until adopted. Once adopted we can transport to your location or any of our other delivery location. This pup was born to a basset hound lab mix mom. She was born 7-1-22. This pup is shy at first. She warms up great though. This pup likes cats and loves other dogs. We have started crate training and potty training. This pup will go home current on vaccines and preventives and microchipped. She is spayed and heartworm tested(negative).This pup will receive a certificate of health issued by our vet prior to transport. The adopter will get all health records with adoption.
