Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. Stumpy is living in a very rural area with a family that asked for help in finding him a new home. He's used to living a family life with children and loves the children. He would be best as an only dog. He's a mixed dog but a popular mix, called a Bassador. The Bassador temperament can vary a lot depending on whether they take after their Lab or Basset Hound parent more. Generally, they are sociable and loving. We are fortunate to know how Stumpy has done, living with a family. Bassadors love attention, especially from their favorite person. If you want a dog with a very unique look who’s loyal to a fault, the Bassador could be the dog for you! Stumpy's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. Special adoption considerations: Bingham is vision – impaired, but once he learns your home, you won’t be able to tell. He loves to find a cozy spot in the living room in the evenings or in the home office during the day and snooze by your feet. He'll follow his favorite people around the house - he just wants to be where you are! He would also be a great gardening companion - he loved just hanging out in the yard while we did yard work. While his eyes don't work as well as he would like, his nose is in great order and he LOVES sniffing around the grass and trees. Previous foster update: Because of his vision impairment, he needs a little extra guidance in the home and yard to get oriented, but after that, he is very good at getting around and knowing where his favorite spots are. He navigates small steps well, but staircases are still a bit intimidating for him. He'll do best if he can live on the main floor without too many steps to get where he needs to go.
