Story
Stumpy-Bassett Hound/Labrador Retriever (Bassador) male, ~ 1-2 yr. (March 2024) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for application to adopt. Stumpy is living in a very rural area with a family that asked for help in finding him a new home. He's used to living a family life with children and loves the children. He would be best as an only dog. He's a mixed dog but a popular mix, called a Bassador. The Bassador temperament can vary a lot depending on whether they take after their Lab or Basset Hound parent more. Generally, they are sociable and loving. We are fortunate to know how Stumpy has done, living with a family. Bassadors love attention, especially from their favorite person. If you want a dog with a very unique look who’s loyal to a fault, the Bassador could be the dog for you! Stumpy's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.

One thing that is unique about Nocciola is his name! It actually means "hazelnut" in Italian, given to him because of his big head and brown color. Nocciola loves to be outside enjoying nature, rain or shine! He still has a lot of energy and loves to walk and run. He is house and crate trained, and great with children. Some more interesting things about Nocciola include his fear of the word "pillow," and his preference for stiff cushions over soft dog beds! Nocciola is a very loving, special dog that is so deserving of a nice home! Come meet Nocciola today, and get to know this sweet pup yourself!

Story
Please contact Diane Pedulla (dianep@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.super sweet senior boy seeking home for golden yearsBINGHAM NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!       Name:  Bingham     Best Guess for Breed: Basset hound mix     Best Guess for Age: 12 years old      SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight: 34 lbs   Gets Along With:  Bingham has done well with other dogs and has lived in a home with cats. He would do best in a home with older kids.   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home.   Special adoption considerations:  Bingham is vision – impaired, but once he learns your home, you won’t be able to tell.   Bingham is Looking For: A ‘furever’ family that will love on him as much as he will love on you. This pooch wants a place where he knows he’ll be safe and have plenty of walks with opportunities to sniff.  Our guy loves exploring as far as his stubby, little legs will take him. He's looking forward to showing you his favorite tricks and showering you with kisses. What My Foster Says About Me: Bingham would love a home where someone is around most of the time. Because he cannot see, he needs to be aware of his surroundings to feel secure. Bingham is an affectionate and lovable pooch.  He loves his belly rubs (and will tell you it’s time for one, too!) and hanging out loyally at your feet. He gets excited when he knows it’s time to go outside and now that it’s warm he wants to sunbathe! Bingham’s safe place is the crate so no worries there. Make sure he has a nice, snuggly blanket to curl up in and he’s right at home. He wants your love and to love you back unconditionally. He would love to be a companion to a family or individual. He loves to find a cozy spot in the living room in the evenings or in the home office during the day and snooze by your feet. He'll follow his favorite people around the house - he just wants to be where you are! He would also be a great gardening companion - he loved just hanging out in the yard while we did yard work. While his eyes don't work as well as he would like, his nose is in great order and he LOVES sniffing around the grass and trees.  Previous foster update: Because of his vision impairment, he needs a little extra guidance in the home and yard to get oriented, but after that, he is very good at getting around and knowing where his favorite spots are. He navigates small steps well, but staircases are still a bit intimidating for him. He'll do best if he can live on the main floor without too many steps to get where he needs to go.    Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $375, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Meet Abigail, a 2-year-old Basset/Hound mix, who's as sweet as sugar and twice as nice! She wears a short, shiny coat of black and pure white! A friendly soul, she’s always ready to greet you with a wagging tail and a goofy grin. A true comedian, Abigail has a knack for making people laugh with her funny antics! She loves to play, and her enthusiasm for life is contagious. When playtime's over, though, Abigail transforms into the ultimate cuddle buddy, offering warm snuggles and unconditional love. At 35 pounds, she's the perfect size for any home and would make a great family addition. She has been treated for heartworms and is recovering nicely! Adopt Abigail and let her fill your life with joy, laughter, and endless cuddles! (ME, 8/13/24)          **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $395 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate.   Transport, if needed  $160   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.  September 8, 2024, 11:44 am
