Blue and Skeeter are wonderful eager to please velcro dogs. They would love nothing more than to spend the day curled up next to you or out exploring and being active. They have a lot of energy but are just as happy being couch potatoes. They are 7 year old Beagle terrier mixes who were found dumped together as puppies. Blue has been known to be too smart for his brother's own good and is good at distracting him to get the toy or person he wants. Skeeter is just happy to be around his brother and a person who will give him the most attention possible. They are very eager to please and love to learn, if it makes their people happy. Skeeter sometimes needs a bit of extra time to figure out new things, but he'll watch his brother and figure it out. They both need a bit of help learning how to be a dog again and that people come back. They are great boys and if someone is willing to help them learn they'll pick it up quick. They haven't been socialized in 3 years but previously went to doggy daycare. They needed a close eye but we're progressing at the time. They'd need some time before becoming another dogs friend. They haven't met any cats or young children before. They have the instincts of a hunting dog, usually happily retrieving live animals. They've met pet rats previously and gotten a bit too excited for their own good. They've been better with smaller dogs than larger dogs but living with other types of small animals would probably not be the best. Blue needs some help overcoming some resource guarding behavior but is a wonderful dog once he can be reassured there will always be enough for him from now on. Meet Mary, a gorgeous, 18lb, 3-year-old female Beagle who came to us from a hoarding situation. She spent some time in a foster home where they found she is a playful and loving girl who enjoys toys, belly rubs, cuddles, and comfy naps. She will need some patience as she gets to know you and a new environment but has made so much progress already! She worked on potty training in her foster home and made lots of progress with a good routine. Because of her past, she will need time to get used to a normal dog life. Mary is looking for a home with a secure fenced yard and previous beagle experience. She would do best in a home with older, respectful children.

Meet Sage! This gorgeous lemon beagle mix is around 2 years-old and weighs about 17 pounds. She came to us from a hoarding situation and has recovered from distemper. Sage is a sweet, energetic, playful girl! She does need some extra help with potty training, due to her past living situation. Sage is looking for a patient home, with a fenced yard and a family with prior beagle experience, to allow her to adjust to a new way of life. Did we mention she loves her stuffies?!
