At just 22 pounds, Skip is full of love and affection! He loves to cuddle and be close to his humans so much that he would live under your skin if he could! Whether you're relaxing on the couch or going about your day, Skip wants to be right by your side. There’s never a dull moment with this sweet guy! Skip can be a little anxious when meeting new people, but once he feels safe, his loving personality shines through. He is potty trained, knows “sit” and “stay,” and walks on a leash once he has a few minutes to adjust. We believe he is a Jack Russell Terrier mix, and despite his terrier roots, he rarely barks! Finding the Right Home  Skip currently lives with two dogs of different sizes and a toddler. However, finding the right home is especially important because Skip was involved in an incident that resulted in the death of a cat. He needs a home without cats or other small animals. His compatibility with other dogs and children should be carefully assessed to ensure everyone's safety. Skip will thrive with a patient adopter who understands his anxiety, gives him time to adjust, and helps him feel safe and secure. A Note About His Health  Skip is currently heartworm positive and receiving ongoing treatment. If you're looking for an affectionate little companion and can provide Skip with the safe, loving environment he needs, he may be your perfect match! Story
Rollie was surrendered after his owner died. He had never lived inside until he came into rescue. He is now house and crate trained. He does love to run and play and hide his bones outside. He had very little socialization with other dogs and is a little dog selective (prefers females more than males). He's more of a loner than most. He has always been crated inside to avoid the mischief a beagle tends to get into with chewing items he isn't supposed to be chewing. It is more for his safety of not swallowing anything harmful. He will bark to let you know when he needs to go potty. He has been completely vetted. He deserves a home of his own to retire in and enjoy the rest of his life. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions.
