Meet Mary, a gorgeous, 18lb, 3-year-old female Beagle who came to us from a hoarding situation. She spent some time in a foster home where they found she is a playful and loving girl who enjoys toys, belly rubs, cuddles, and comfy naps. She will need some patience as she gets to know you and a new environment but has made so much progress already! She worked on potty training in her foster home and made lots of progress with a good routine. Because of her past, she will need time to get used to a normal dog life. Mary is looking for a home with a secure fenced yard and previous beagle experience. She would do best in a home with older, respectful children.

Meet Sage! This gorgeous lemon beagle mix is around 2 years-old and weighs about 17 pounds. She came to us from a hoarding situation and has recovered from distemper. Sage is a sweet, energetic, playful girl! She does need some extra help with potty training, due to her past living situation. Ted is a handsome 4-year-old beagle who came to us from a hoarding situation. He is about 20 pounds and is an adorable guy with stout little legs. Meet Milo--and yes--he is every bit as adorable as he looks. He is a happy boy that sadly doesn't realize how his life is about to change. His person had to take a new job that requires travel, and leaving Milo alone is certainly not an option. It is heartbreaking for his person, but sometimes our lives just do not go quite as we planned. So, in doing the best for Milo, he reached out and we are helping Milo find his new family. We first met this cutie when he was a puppy back in 2022, we called him Danny. He was an adorable little guy, and apparently he continued with the adorableness! Milo is much loved and has had a great life. He is great with other dogs, kids and will accept cats(he is a little curious about them, but is fine.) We hear he is a professional cuddler, but is also fine snuggled up on his own bed with a favorite toy. Milo has the loving eyes of an old soul, he is a very special boy. Milo would love and energetic family, he enjoys his walks, playtime and of course his toys! He is also crate trained, very well mannered and is and of course a great snuggler!! As sad as his person is about having to find another home for Milo, he knows that Milo will be a loving addition for some lucky family! He is just over 3 years old, 55 pounds, and a lab/beagle. Melvin is a 2 ½ – 3 y.o., 23 pound neutered Beagle who came to us after being rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding case. It is reported that 43 beagles were discovered living together in a single garage. Their world had been small and crowded, filled with the sounds and smells of dozens of other dogs but not much else. Basically submissive, Melvin’s socialization is progressing well. Melvin volunteers for chin, head & belly rubs. His love for food & treats provides a path for trust & learning. Melvin’s housetraining is coming along nicely. He has become comfortable in the fenced yard of his foster home. Melvin is making sense of a new world. He finds being leashed foreign, but has learned to well on the leash. Despite his past, Melvin is resilient. Melvin is learning about safety, comfort, and companionship for the very first time. He loves exploring his foster home yard. Melvin is not for a first time owner as he needs a patient adopter who wants the satisfaction of developing the trust & teaching skills to an under socialized dog. Quick movements & loud noises startle Melvin so that he darts away. So no children under age 8 please. Melvin is a flight risk and requires extra care with secure handling. Patience will be needed when meeting new people or visiting new places. Melvin is neutered, heartworm & fecal tested negative. Melvin is up to date on vaccinations as well as monthly heartworm, flea & tick preventatives. Melvin’s adoption fee is $425. Once learning that home is safe, Melvin will become the most loyal, affectionate companions you could imagine. If your heart has room for a dog who’s never truly known what “home” & loving, accepting companionship feels like, Melvin might be for you. These dogs are learning about life from the ground up: hands can be gentle, food will always come, leashes can mean adventure, and people can be trusted. Everyday sights and may feel strange or scary at first. Progress can be slow, but watching them open up is nothing short of extraordinary. Please note that we are a foster based group located in the southern suburbs of Chicago. Our service area is the greater Chicago metropolitan area.
