Story
Lilly is a 3-year-old, house-trained dog originally adopted from Cincinnati Animal CARE. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. I’ve had her for over a year as a companion for my dog Daisy, and they get along great.Lilly is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and loyal. She loves to relax and cuddle, play with toys, go for walks and is very food-motivated. She knows basic commands like sit, paw (shake), and lay down.She is happiest in a stable routine, her only behavioral issue is she can experience separation anxiety if left alone too often or separated from her owner. Due to recent life changes, I’m no longer able to provide the consistent routine and attention Lilly needs, which has contributed to increased anxiety and a few stress-induced seizures that, according to our vet, have not been frequent enough to require medication.Lilly would do best in a calm, loving home where she can have consistent attention, a steady routine, and feel secure.

Story
This little guy was dumped out of a car near my home, & we rescued him with hopes of finding him a suitable forever home. He is VERY friendly/snuggly/playful, but extremely scared & shy at first. He exhibited behaviors that made me believe he was abused in his previous home, & he is scared of new people. He does not act aggressively whatsoever, he'll just hide under something and bark at you until he feels comfortable. For the first week he would only hang out with my son, & then he eventually learned to trust me & now he won't leave my side. He is missing several teeth on his lower jaw that the vet said likely could have been past trauma. He gets along great with my cats, but will sometimes chase them. He has a habit of getting into the trash can, but we've been working with him to stop that. He is still learning how to ask to go out to the restroom, but will use a puppy pad whenever he does go inside. He needs someone with lots of love & patience. Approx. 3-4yrs old.

Cassius Howl - 13lbs - 2.5 months - beagle mix. A little small, but with elite speed off the edge and great bend. This Cassius Howl may not be blitzing quarterbacks, but he will rush into your heart. Puns aside, this little guy is the absolute sweetest. He’s great with dogs and all people. We can’t resist those floppy ears and soulful eyes! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. Hi I'm Merlin! I'm a little shy but once you get to know me I'm as sweet as can be. I'm around 6 years old and 45 lbs, and I would do best with a simple, routine life without too much excitement. In fact, I could spend almost all day on the couch with my head on your shoulder. I am vision impaired but once you help me learn where everything is, I do just fine navigating on my own- I'm even crate trained and enjoy having a crate as my "home base". I am perfect with cats and dogs, and would really love a dog friend to help me continue building my confidence. I do need a fenced in yard at my forever home, being on leash is tough for me until I feel super safe and secure. If you're a homebody with a little bit of patience and a gentle soul, I would be the perfect companion for you and I am sure to give you all the love you'll ever need.   All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home.
