Story
Meet Archie the one year old Beagle mix. This guy is sweet and ready for a home. He doesn't do well with younger children, so we would recommend him to go home with older teens or no kids at all. We are not sure at this time how he is with other animals so we would recommend brining your current dogs in to meet. So come on down and meet Archie today!

Story
Feb 24: Leroy is doing great. He is now 2 years old and 15 lbs. He is crate trained and sleeps in crate at night (still not house trained at night). Leroy is a resource guarder with dogs. He gets protective of his toys when he has them in his mouth and gets fed away from the eyes of the other dogs. He does NOT resource guard with humans (small children not recommended till they are old enough to leave his stuff alone). If you remove the stuffies and high value bones, he does great with the dog group. He plays and follows his nose throughout the whole yard. If you have experience with resource guarding he will do fine with other pets. If you have no experience, then he should be an only dog. He loves to be petted and hang out in a dog bed. He does need secure fencing, his nose will get him in trouble. He also sings the song of his people...lol May 23: Leroy Jenkins (nod to video games!) was found as a stray and pulled from Animal Friends (Butler County Ohio). He was suffering from kennel cough and got double pneumonia and had to be hospitalized for 3 days. He is approximately 1 to 2 years old and 14 lbs. He is a small Beagle. He is on the timid side but learning to trust. He plays with the other dogs and loves toys. He has the typical beagle bray when he spots something. He is crate trained (not fond of it) and is not house trained. He does wear a belly band in the house when he is outside of his crate. He does need a SECURE PHYSICAL FENCED yard; the nose will lead him away from the yard. He is very food motivated (like many beagles are) and eats separately in his crate. Freds Mission Rescue has an adoption radius of 100 miles from Cincinnati. All dogs are fully vetted, altered, current on flea/tick/heartworm/wormer, and microchipped. The rescue does not adopt out to properties with invisible fences or tie outs. Application: https://form.jotform.com/FredsMission/app

Story
January 2024: Estee is a sweet loving dog who loves to be petted. Because of her background she needs a quiet home with secure fencing. She would make a excellent pet for older person or couple. She is now around 4 years old and 20 lbs. Soft ears and soft eyes! She still has some accidents in her crate if left over 6 hours. She will use pads and goes outside easily. She prefers a few zoomies in the yard and then a nice dog bed. Does great with the other dogs, cats unknown. Not a mean bone in her body. February 2023: She is doing great, will make a fine family member for a quiet home with a physical fenced in yard. She is still a flight risk so no small children with the house doors. She must have a secure fence. May 2022: Estee was pulled from Bracken County. She was found as a stray and was likely an unsocialized puppy living away from people. For the first two months she was terrified to come in from outside (carried for 2 months) and a month after that to go out on her own. She is still a little leery of doorways. Estee is 2 years old and 20 lbs. She is the sweetest pup, who is doing great going outside for potty. she does us her crate and will, potty in it sometimes.

Story
Hi! I'm Moody Blue! Did someone say car ride?!?!      This goofy little girl is looking for her happily ever after.  She is about 2 years old, 45lbs and a unique mix of beagle/pit. This sweet and quirky pup is guaranteed to bring joy and laughter into your life. Moody Blue is always ready for an adventure as long as she is with her people. She loves long walks, (bonus points if she can flip over on the grass and stratch her back.) and is always ready for a car ride. Moody Blue is a BIG advocate of cuddling any time of day and her foster mom thinks she may have won an award for cuddling in the past.  Moody Blue knows a few basic commands, and is potty trained and crate trained. She loves kids, and is good with dogs. She is interested in cats but does live with one in her foster home. She is also crate and potty trained. She is a sweet fun loving girl who deserves to find her forever home! Adoption fee is $200. She is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   April 18, 2024, 4:07 pm

Story
Meet Wally! This 3 year old Beagle mix would love nothing more than to be your best friend and future snuggle buddy. At 35 lbs, Wally is ready to go on those summer walks to sniff around the grass and help him to lose a few pounds. After that, his greatest desire would be to curl up on a pillow and receive an endless amount of scratches and cuddles. Wally is crate-trained and doing well with potty training. He is getting the hang of regularly going outside and will use potty pads if needed. Wally prefers short stints in his crate but is not destructive if left out when home alone, although he certainly prefers the companionship of his people. Wally is fostered with other dogs his size and smaller and gets along with them all very well, simply happy to coexist with them. Wally was shy and unsure upon first entering his foster home, but after a few days and some patience he became the most snuggly, happy guy. He loves to wag his curly tail and ask for belly rubs as soon as he sees his people. If you are looking for an amazing best buddy to call your own, apply for Wally today! Wally is fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $400.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Frannie - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Frannie is short for Francis or Francine meaning 'free woman'. And that's just what I am. BUT i'm now more then ready for the family life! And I've got a new lease on my life and plan on filling it with fun, living life to the fullest qualities that come with being a family pup! I came from a local shelter where I was on 'the list' just for being short of space. I'm learning for the first time what's it like being in a loving place where as I am pretty mellow for a youngster, I can now not have a care in the world to also be active and playful. I'm doing well on learning the ropes of family life and being all I can be!! I come in at about 29lbs where I should be as my adult weight. A pawsome size for well...everything. I'm big enough to enjoy all those action packed adventures but small enough to also enjoy those cuddle times with you. As a youngster I will need that daily exercise and playtime but with that in I should do just fine in town with a yard, out in the country or anywhere in between. I love people and do great with other pups making me a fabulous candidate to be a 'silbling' to another playful pup or I'm good with getting all the attention as your one and only! My beautifully colored short coat makes for me being easy peasy in the grooming department. An occasional bath, brush and nail trim makes me ready at the drop of a hat for all our adventures!! Whoa, pretty pawsome, huh! Being that youngster I'm always ready to be anything from being your sidekick to your cohort in crime! Your sidekick to be by your side but your cohort that won't tell a soul if you want to sneak out for a hike!! I can be all that and a snuggler to boot! Can I be YOURS?!!! These are my freedom pictures, I'll send more soon!!
