Story
Had rhino in my family for 13 years he was the girls dog they had moved on then my son took him over. My son has moved on. I work terrible schedules. I’m on call. Tired of having pinned up in the house for 12 hours at a time would love to seem go to a house that has kids. He is a good dog. I just hate for him to be by himself all the time.

Story
This little guy was dumped out of a car near my home, & we rescued him with hopes of finding him a suitable forever home. He is VERY friendly/snuggly/playful, but extremely scared & shy at first. He exhibited behaviors that made me believe he was abused in his previous home, & he is scared of new people. He does not act aggressively whatsoever, he'll just hide under something and bark at you until he feels comfortable. For the first week he would only hang out with my son, & then he eventually learned to trust me & now he won't leave my side. He is missing several teeth on his lower jaw that the vet said likely could have been past trauma. He gets along great with my cats, but will sometimes chase them. He has a habit of getting into the trash can, but we've been working with him to stop that. He is still learning how to ask to go out to the restroom, but will use a puppy pad whenever he does go inside. He needs someone with lots of love & patience. Approx. 3-4yrs old.

Story
Hi, my name is Millie, I am approximately 10 months young (DOB 04/08/24) per the Vets guess. I have been with my Foster Mom for a week and I get along with other dogs, cats and children. I am spayed and up to date on all required vaccines, heart worm and flea and tick. I love being around people in general. I might howl or whine when you leave me alone at times. I love to chase squirrels. We went on my first leash walk today and it was wonderful. I tried to mind the few commands given, but remember, I am still considered a puppy. I am also doing good in regards to going outside to potty. I am a little shy upon meeting you for the first time. Please consider making me part of your family and I will love you unconditionally. If you're interested in adopting Millie, please fill out our (non-binding) adoption application at: https://www.allpawsmatterrescue.org/?page_id=5230

Story
Hazel is a 30 pound, eight-year-old Bull Dog/Beagle mix. She was often a mother during her life, so now it is her time for attention and love. Hazel is eager for the pampered life. She loves to lounge in her bed, receive bedtime kisses, be fed treats and receiving constant scratches. Hazel has some interest in toys, but her favorites are chew bones. In terms of house training, Hazel is still learning this new part in her life. She will go to the bathroom outside, but needs treats to encourage her. With a proper routine and patience, Hazel can learn this new skill. Hazel prefers free rein of the home rather than a crate. She doesn’t have accidents overnight and will happily stay in a penned area if needed. Hazel is more interested in basking in the sunshine than walking on a leash. She will do small walks but would be happier in a fenced yard. Hazel does well with her human foster brother and her doggie foster siblings and is easy going, but needs her solitude from time to time. If you want a calm cuddle bug, Hazel is your girl. Hazel is in Cincinnati, OH and her adoption fee is $275. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Hi I'm Merlin! I'm a little shy but once you get to know me I'm as sweet as can be. I'm around 6 years old and 45 lbs, and I would do best with a simple, routine life without too much excitement. In fact, I could spend almost all day on the couch with my head on your shoulder. I am vision impaired but once you help me learn where everything is, I do just fine navigating on my own- I'm even crate trained and enjoy having a crate as my "home base". I am perfect with cats and dogs, and would really love a dog friend to help me continue building my confidence. I do need a fenced in yard at my forever home, being on leash is tough for me until I feel super safe and secure. If you're a homebody with a little bit of patience and a gentle soul, I would be the perfect companion for you and I am sure to give you all the love you'll ever need.   All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   March 11, 2026, 9:56 pm
