Story
Beauford is a sweet, active, lemon and white beagle from Virginia. He's a little guy at about 25 lbs. He loves to play and to be outside for hours of the day (if you are looking for a quiet couch potato, he is not the dog for you). He would do best with a fenced in yard with room to sniff and sing. He loves people and attention and also does well with other dogs: his foster reports there is not an aggressive bone in his body. When it is time for bed, he will sleep through the night and is largely housetrained. When Beauford arrived we noticed that he had a lump on his butt. The mass has been surgically removed and biopsied and the prognosis is good for a healthy recovery. Vets have estimated Beauford's age at 5 - 8 yrs old. His foster reports that he is like a puppy at times and full of energy. He's a joyful little Beagle who will bring you companionship and laughs. Available for visits north of Boston near southern NH. Story
Sweet Honey spent a long time in the care of her rescuers in Louisiana. Honey is sweet, calm, and really loves a comfy dog bed and some belly rubs. She would love to sniff around the yard, but isn’t much for long hikes. She is around six years old. She is a dog who enjoys the simple pleasures of life and wants nothing more than a HOME of her own where her humans will pamper her like she deserves. For a while, she was in a foster home – and got used to the good life. Then, she came back to the shelter for a bit and had another short stint with a foster that had a child. She LOVED this kid – a respectful, dog-savvy kid who loved to snuggle with her. Any family will truly be lucky to have her. She is an exceptional dog who will make someone an excellent companion. She takes a daily thyroid pill. Please be someone who will let her up on the furniture. Available 12/8. Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp, and someone will get right back to you.

Story
Bonnie has come a long way from living in an outdoor kennel. She is starting to enjoy the comforts of living in a home and learning how to be loved although is still timid and shy. Bonnie needs plenty of time to get comfortable in her new environment and with new people. Once comfortable, she seeks out affection and snuggles freely. She does best with slow movements and people who crouch down to meet her. She loves chilling on the sofa and sleeping in bed with her people. She is good with other dogs, has medium energy and is doing wonderful with house training. Bonnie is about 5 years old and 36 lbs. Adopters who are willing to give her the time and space to get comfortable at her own pace will be rewarded with a loving, affectionate member of the family. Bonnie is being fostered in the Boston area and is available for visits.

Bonnie, Clyde and Mr. Biscuits are hunting dogs whose owner passed away. They have lived their lives in an outdoor kennel. They are a bit under socialized with people but are friendly and improving every day. It will take them a bit to learn to live in a home but once they get the hang of it, they will make wonderful additions to a family. Mr. Biscuits has arrived in New England and available for visits.

Story
Bean is 8 weeks old and the sweetest little thing ever. My boyfriends dad gave her to us but his other animals do not like her. She is great with other dogs, cats and kids. We are so sad to have to part ways already. I have lots of stuff for her you can take. Crate, bed, play pen, bowl leash. For now and when she grows. She will get to 30-35 pounds.
