Story
Meet Bennet! Bennet may have had a rough start to life, but you’d never know it from his sweet, gentle spirit. This handsome beagle is all heart — he’s quick to offer a wagging tail, a soft nuzzle, and those classic soulful eyes that seem to say “thank you.”Unlike most beagles, Bennet is on the quiet side — he rarely barks and prefers to communicate with gentle looks and happy tail wags. He loves people and is happiest when he’s by your side, whether it’s for a walk around the block or a cozy nap on the couch.Bennet is learning that the world is a safe, happy place and would thrive in a home that can give him the love and patience he deserves. He is a little slow to warm up to new people, but once you are a part of his world he will give you all the love you could ever ask for. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with endless love to give, Bennet will be your best little buddy through and through.

Story
Vanilla is the sweetest girl you'll ever meet. She loves affection so much we're not sure there's a point at which she'd want someone to stop petting her. If she had her way, you'd pet her until your arm fell off. She loves being near her people, but for such an affectionate dog, she's not big on kisses. A plus for a lot of folks! Vanilla is only about a year old, so she's still a playful young lady. She loves toys, balls, and running around the yard. She is dog friendly and absolutely adores people. We don't think Vanilla has been taught any basic manners so she's learning everything now. She's already making great strides learning not to jump on people; she's mastered the dog door and potty training. Vanilla is a perfect angel, sleeping in her crate at night without complaint. When she was surrendered to the shelter her owner listed her as a Basset Hound, but we're not sure her former owner had actually ever seen a Basset Hound before. We think it's more likely that she's a Beagle, albeit a big one. Our girl could stand to lose a few pounds! Vanilla would do best in a single family home. Although she doesn’t bark a lot when her people are home, we’ve noticed she doesn’t like being left alone and barks some when she’s left. Apply to adopt this very good girl!

Vanilla was quite shy when we first got her, but has really been coming out of her shell. She's started going up to greet new people without any bribes! Vanilla is only about a year old, so she's still a playful young lady. She loves toys, balls, and running around the yard. She is dog friendly and absolutely adores people. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Tarot is always ready for fun.  This 9-month old, male 40-lb pit mix wants to play all day.  Every morning since he was rescued from the shelter, he empties his foster family’s toy box and spreads the toys throughout the house and the yard.  His favorite activity may be to take a large stuffed toy, throw it up in the air over his head, and then chase it down.  He also loves to play with his foster sister dog and neighbor dog, running around the yard and wrestling non-stop.  Once he has exhausted himself from play, he loves to curl up next to you - or better yet on top of you - and get his cuddles. For a younger dog, Tarot is a very quick learner.  Other than a few small accidents on his very first day out of the shelter, Tarot has shown to be fully potty trained.  He sleeps through the night, snoring away.  He has learned quickly to sit when he comes inside from playing outside, and as long as treats are involved, has mastered lying down.  Tarot walks well on a leash and has shown no signs of being leash reactive.  He has also been very respectful of the “rules” established by his older foster sister, who does not always welcome Tarot’s exuberance.  He will do very well in a house with other dogs.  (We don’t know how he would do with cats.)  Tarot will also do well with children.  While he does not have young kids in his foster home, he was ready for pets from the young visitors at a recent meet and greet event.  Tarot is not left alone very often, but he has done well in the crate for short durations or when the family has been out for dinner.   Tarot loves every dog and person he meets and is always ready to play or snuggle. He is neutered and up-to-date! Tarot is ready to find his forever family! ************************************************************************ The adoption fee is $400, which covers food, vetting, microchip and the spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet.  All dogs receive a wellness visit and are up to date on shots appropriate for age.  Breed and size is Pawfect Match Rescue's best guess and not guaranteed. Please go to https://www.pawfectmatch.org/animals/search? and search on the dog name to see more photos, browse the profile, and complete an application Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 9, 2025, 2:32 pm
