Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.MEET RANDY! Randy is an 8 year old,  21 lb. beagle mix dog.  Randy is a loving and affectionate, low maintenance dog that will make a very loyal companion.   Randy is very friendly with everyone he meets.  He is a very relaxed guy who loves other dogs too.  He is currently living with cats and does fine. Randy is very chill but does like to play with other dogs occasionally.  He needs a buddy and won't do well as an only dog.  He would do great with a family that leaves the house to work or with a family that works from home.  His energy level is low.  He will occasionally play and do zoomies but mostly hangs out and sleeps.  Randy does not require a fenced yard.  Potty breaks on a leash and a nice walk everyday would suffice for his exercise.   He needs to be taken outside on a regular basis for his potty breaks.   Randy is crate trained but he does have some crate anxiety.  An airplane style crate is better than a wire crate for him.  At night he sleeps in his crate with no problem.  Randy is a sweet happy boy who loves to cuddle and hang out.  He loves to eat and loves to go out for a walk.  He is looking for a forever home where he can love his humans and in return be part of a loving home. Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.  We prefer that applicants live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We will consider applicants who live a bit further if they are a great fit for this sweet guy. .   INTERESTED IN ADOPTING  RANDY? Story
Such a rough start for a young boy, but that doesn’t stop Finley from being the happiest pup you’ll meet. Whether it’s the full body wiggles when he sees his human approaching him or the night time cuddles when he curls into your shoulder to be as close as possible, this boy loves to love. He’s very playful with all types of dogs and hasn’t met a stranger he doesn’t want to say hello to. He’s been excellent at potty training and knows what he should play with and what he shouldn’t. Finley is getting scruffier by the day and we think he’s going to be the perfect smaller size dog who can also keep up with the big boys and girls. He loves his treats and is easily trained so far with positive reinforcement. This boy will make the best addition to any family and guaranteed he will give you the most unconditional love you can imagine. If you are interested in this animal please start by filling out an adoption application at http://www.CFP-NC.org/adoptions and we will get in touch with you.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.DOB: 1/22/2016 Hello there, my name is Dolly and as you can see, I am the cutest Beagle ever!  My foster mom says I may be the sweetest, most loving dog she has ever met.  I was dumped in Wake County with several other Beagles (after hunting season they think).  All of us were in pretty bad shape and were all heartworm positive. I had 2 large hernias on the inside of my legs which made it hard for me to walk normal. I have been spayed, had all my vaccinations, had the hernias removed and have started on my heartworm treatment. I should be heartworm negative by the end of the summer. I am crate trained; however, you don’t need to crate me as I am not destructive at all.  I love to just curl up in my bed or on the couch and sleep when no one is home.  I live with 2 other dogs in my foster home and we are all friends. I love to go on walks and do what Beagles do - sniff, sniff, sniff.  I would love to have a fenced in yard to play in when I can't take a walk. I am pretty much housebroken; however, you might want to watch me when I go outside to make sure I go potty. I am a curious girl and can get distracted by all the smells and noises out there!  I ride great in the car if I need to go somewhere. I do love to eat so my foster mom bought me a slow feeder bowl to slow me down a bit. I like treats and chew bones but I can be picky about what kind I will eat. We are working on my manners when there are people and food around because I really want the good stuff. And wait till you hear my howl - it is adorable.  Mostly, I want to be in my person's presence, whether laying in a bed nearby or, better yet, in your lap. I just adore all humans but I would love a doggie sibling to play with also!!  I am a petite girl so I don’t take up much space.  My foster mom says I will take a very big piece of her heart when I find my forever home.  &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143  (TB/KC*)   Dolly is currently available for foster-to-adopt and her adoption will be completed when she tests negative for heartworms.  Up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, spayed and micro-chipped.   Adoption Fee:  $200.00     Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 25, 2024, 1:31 am

Story
I had a friend find a lost puppy Beagle (4-6 months) at a job site that was lost. They went around the neighborhood hoping to find its owner but no luck. They put up messages on facebook, called the shelters and asked around but no one has come up as her owner. We checked to see if she was chipped but she was not. As of right now we are housing her hoping to find a home for her as we dont want her to just sit in a shelter. She’s so loving and sweet and gets super excited like a puppy usually does. She loves her walks and exploring. Sleeps in her crate all night and is currently being house potty trained. Overall a smart puppy that just needs a loving home.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please be sure to read Mae's bio before applying for her.Mae's life began in an unsupportive and neglectful home.  She was confiscated from her original home and brought into a county shelter.  One animal on the property had been tethered and found starved to death, and Mae was one of several other dogs that were impounded.  She was so emaciated that she wasn't far from death herself.  Mae has learned many new things in a loving and supportive foster home, and her foster family has learned a lot about her- and where she would be most comfortable.    Mae would do best in a home with another dog, she loves to wrestle and play.  Another dog her size or larger would do best, since she can be an exuberant play companion.  She completely ignores cats, so having kitties in the home would be ok too.  She definitely requires a secured fenced in yard (no underground fences please) and a home that has the capability to utilize gates to keep her safe until she has had the chance to become acclimated to her new environment.  She can be a bit nervous with new people, but she warms up fast.  She would do best in a home where all children are 12 and over, since she has had limited exposure to children.  Mae still carries memories of her past, and the one detail she is sure of is that her previous tormentor was a bald man- she is terrified of bald men,  men with hair do not seem to be an issue.  She requires an experienced family that will give her the time she needs to get comfortable and blossom into an excellent companion.    Mae is leash trained, house trained (though rainy days can be challenging), crate trained, and she rides well in a car.  She has been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccines.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 26, 2024, 11:54 am

Story
Hi My Name is Shepard! My current family took me in 2 years ago when I had no place else to go. They have given me love, safety, health care, friends, family in addition to a good home. My family recently welcomed a baby into the home which makes me fearful, as I do much better with adults and friendly dogs. I also can be fearful when lots of people are around because I worry they don't see me when they walk past me. I love homes that are calm and with adults who like to go for walks outside and don't mind my company around the house.
