Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Tarot is always ready for fun.  This 9-month old, male 40-lb pit mix wants to play all day.  Every morning since he was rescued from the shelter, he empties his foster family’s toy box and spreads the toys throughout the house and the yard.  His favorite activity may be to take a large stuffed toy, throw it up in the air over his head, and then chase it down.  He also loves to play with his foster sister dog and neighbor dog, running around the yard and wrestling non-stop.  Once he has exhausted himself from play, he loves to curl up next to you - or better yet on top of you - and get his cuddles. For a younger dog, Tarot is a very quick learner.  Other than a few small accidents on his very first day out of the shelter, Tarot has shown to be fully potty trained.  He sleeps through the night, snoring away.  He has learned quickly to sit when he comes inside from playing outside, and as long as treats are involved, has mastered lying down.  Tarot walks well on a leash and has shown no signs of being leash reactive.  He has also been very respectful of the “rules” established by his older foster sister, who does not always welcome Tarot’s exuberance.  He will do very well in a house with other dogs.  (We don’t know how he would do with cats.)  Tarot will also do well with children.  While he does not have young kids in his foster home, he was ready for pets from the young visitors at a recent meet and greet event.  Tarot is not left alone very often, but he has done well in the crate for short durations or when the family has been out for dinner.   Tarot loves every dog and person he meets and is always ready to play or snuggle. He is neutered and up-to-date! Tarot is ready to find his forever family! ************************************************************************ The adoption fee is $400, which covers food, vetting, microchip and the spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet.  All dogs receive a wellness visit and are up to date on shots appropriate for age.  Breed and size is Pawfect Match Rescue's best guess and not guaranteed. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Liliana (Lily)! Lily is a sweet and spunky 4 year old 40-pound beagle/hound mix. She is completely vetted and healthy    Lily's Best Day Lily wants to be with her people and doing whatever you do.  She also has a TON of energy and will chase a ball around for an hour-- and wear you out just in watching her TV enthusiast – yes, she really watches with interest.  She currently is rewatching Gossip Girl with her foster mama.  She really **hates** the manatees screen saver on Apple TV and will try to chase She loves to chase the Roomba, although she knows 'no' when her foster mama tells her to knock it off.  Sometimes she will go and nose Roomba to try to get it to play Collector of dog bowls – she gathers them up and bangs them around like trophies Chases her Kong like it owes her money She gets a dental bone each night at bedtime and loves it   Training & Temperament: Loves her people – with proper introductions, she greets kids and adults with a happy tail.  But if someone wants to sneak into your house-- they won't get very far with Lily on watch.  She is VERY protective once settled and can snap if she thinks her people are at risk by an unsanctioned dog or person.  Given this, Lily would NOT be good at dog parks-- she would be in cop mode the whole time.  Foster mama walks Lily carefully and gives her distance from others on the street so she doesn't feel that her pack is threatened.   Food motivated – she learns fast with snacks as rewards.  She will sit for a treat in a split second.  She is great at catching popcorn or blueberries Must be introduced to other dogs properly. While Lily lives with 7 other dogs of all ages and sizes, she will get upset if another dog is in her face.  With introductions, she gets along with most dogs Easy to groom- you can wipe her with a washcloth Crate trained and sleeps through the night like a champ.  She has the full run of the house without being destructive Fully potty trained – no accidents here!   The Vibe: Very silly and finds creative ways to entertain herself Very protective of her people.     If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate pup who will make every day more entertaining, Lily just might be your Pawfect Match! Story
Meet Bennet! Bennet may have had a rough start to life, but you’d never know it from his sweet, gentle spirit. This handsome beagle is all heart — he’s quick to offer a wagging tail, a soft nuzzle, and those classic soulful eyes that seem to say “thank you.”Unlike most beagles, Bennet is on the quiet side — he rarely barks and prefers to communicate with gentle looks and happy tail wags. He loves people and is happiest when he’s by your side, whether it’s for a walk around the block or a cozy nap on the couch.Bennet is learning that the world is a safe, happy place and would thrive in a home that can give him the love and patience he deserves. He is a little slow to warm up to new people, but once you are a part of his world he will give you all the love you could ever ask for. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with endless love to give, Bennet will be your best little buddy through and through.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please click on Barkley's bio to read all about him prior to applying.Hi, everyone!  My name’s Barkley and I am on the hunt for a human family of my own!  I’m a handsome guy, with classic, long, soft hound ears and droopy bedroom eyes.  I get along great with the other dogs in my foster home and I like cats but being with people is my favorite thing!  I’m pretty laid back for a youngster but always ready to play and happy to meet new friends.  I already walk very well on a leash and might like to try jogging alongside when you go.  I will love to hang out while you’re working at home, ride in the car and keep you company on errands, or go on dog-friendly outings.  If I need to stay home alone, I really like my solid-sided crate.  Here is a very important thing to know about me: I am all hound dog, Beagle and Bassett to be precise, and much as I don’t like to admit it, you can never let me off-leash.  If I’m let off-leash or left unsupervised outdoors, my nose takes control and all those delicious scents on the ground make me forget everything else.  I don’t decide to take off running, but as a hound dog, I really cannot help myself.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 24, 2025, 9:59 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please be sure to read Mae's bio before applying for her.Mae's life began in an unsupportive and neglectful home.  She was confiscated from her original home and brought into a county shelter.  One animal on the property had been tethered and found starved to death, and Mae was one of several other dogs that were impounded.  She was so emaciated that she wasn't far from death herself.  Mae has learned many new things in a loving and supportive foster home, and her foster family has learned a lot about her- and where she would be most comfortable.    Mae would do best in a home with another dog, she loves to wrestle and play.  Another dog her size or larger would do best, since she can be an exuberant play companion.  She completely ignores cats, so having kitties in the home would be ok too.  She definitely requires a secured fenced in yard (no underground fences please) and a home that has the capability to utilize gates to keep her safe until she has had the chance to become acclimated to her new environment.  She can be a bit nervous with new people, but she warms up fast.  She would do best in a home where all children are 12 and over, since she has had limited exposure to children.  Mae still carries memories of her past, and the one detail she is sure of is that her previous tormentor was a bald man- she is terrified of bald men,  men with hair do not seem to be an issue.  She requires an experienced family that will give her the time she needs to get comfortable and blossom into an excellent companion.    Mae is leash trained, house trained (though rainy days can be challenging), crate trained, and she rides well in a car.  She has been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccines.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 10:18 am
