Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Snow is a very, very good boy! He is sweet as sugar and very loyal. He is still very scared of the world around him, though he is learning quickly that humans are friends! Snow is learning to walk on a leash, but still needs a lot of practice. He would probably be best for a fairly active individual or family who can include him in their activities. Snow loves to be included! He is very enthusiastic about all of your interests! Snow would do best with older dog savvy children. He has been temperament tested with young children and, while he showed no aggression, he was scared and attempted to hide from them. Snow has not been temperament tested with cats. Snow is not recommended for a home with small dogs. Again, he is not aggressive, but is also not respectful of the boundaries of smaller dogs. Snow is almost completely housetrained, he’ll just need time to learn your routine.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 10, 2025, 9:50 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.DOB: 04/04/2019  Hello there, my name is Finley but sometimes my foster mom calls me 'Finn' for short.  Nice to meet ya!  My mom saw my adorable face on the Granville County Animal shelter FB page and had to have me so here I am now living the good life.  I was just another stray Beagle roaming around and someone nice took me to the shelter.  I am estimated to be around 6-7 years old (do not let the white face fool you) as I have plenty of energy but surely love my snuggle/sleep time as well. My favorite thing in the world is food.  My foster mom thinks I was probably part of a hunting pack and kenneled most of the time as when food comes out I devour it as if I will never eat again.  She feeds me with a slow feeder bowl as that helps to slow me down.  And you have to really be careful with a treat as I do not understand slow/easy yet when taking them.  That said, when mom eats her dinner I am really good and just go lay down.  i do not even beg for people food.  Now, if you are cooking and drop something on the floor - no worries as I turn into your vacuum cleaner so you will not have to pick it up.     I weigh about 29 pounds and am neutered and heartworm negative.  I have had all my shots and recently had a dental and lost five teeth!  My teeth were really bad and this is going to ensure I stay healthy for a long time.  I currently live with 2 other girl Beagles and they are fine but I can live with or without other dogs in my new home.  We interact but I really have not played with them nor have I been overly interested In them.  I would love a fenced in backyard as my nose is quite active being a Beagle and all.  However, that is not required as long as you walk me as I love to go on walks.  My foster mom says I am the best Beagle walker she has ever had (or best of about any of her foster dogs so far no matter the breed) as I just walk along at whatever pace she is going and stop when she does and no pulling at all.  I do wear a harness as she thinks that works better than just a leash on my collar.  I am not a big fan of the crate. I seem to have a bit of anxiety in the crate when first put in so pant a bit hard and just not happy.  However, I do get better after a while.  The good news is that mom leaves me out and I do not chew up things nor have I had any accidents in the house.  She has left me about 6 hours at a time without incident so far. I sleep in my own bed near my foster mom's bed at night and I must tell the truth - I do snore a little bit.  But I do not move until she gets up in the morning so that is also good.    I am looking for a family that just wants a great companion.  I have not met a human or dog yet I did not like!  If you would like to meet me please fill out an application and we can make that happen!  Thanks for checking me out. (TB/KC*)  Up to date on age appropriate vaccines, neutered and micro-chipped.  Adoption Fee:  $200.00    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 4, 2025, 3:49 pm

Meet the Bonus Pups: Susan & BonoThey may not have been born into the litter—but they were meant to be part of the Peaceful Pack. Susan and Bono, a lovable pair of beagle mixes, came to us in need of a mom. Thankfully, sweet Rosa (the husky mix mama of the Peaceful Pack) welcomed them with open paws and a big heart. Since then, they’ve been growing, thriving, and charming everyone they meet. With their floppy ears, gentle eyes, and playful personalities, Susan and Bon0 are the perfect mix of cuddly and curious. They’ve got that classic beagle energy, a hint of mischief, and a whole lot of love to give. They’ll be at the Compass Rose Event on May 10th, but we highly recommend applying before then—they won’t be available for long! Pups can go home to approved adopters starting May 18th, and will be up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and spayed/neutered at the appropriate age. Apply now at pipsrescue.org/adopt and bring home your new best friend! ##2350502##
