Meet Cora! This 5 year old beagle girl has the most beautiful eyes and soul! Cora weighs about 38 lbs. Cora is dog friendly and loves to play with her canine friends. She also previously lived with a cat (Cora was surrendered to us when her previous owner had some personal medical issues). Cora enjoys playing in her foster mom's backyard. She is good with her foster mom's grandchildren but seems to prefer canine companionship over human companionship right now. She comes to humans for pets and scratches, but isn't a cuddler. Cora is crate trained and stays in her crate when her foster mom is away. She wasn't potty trained at first, but with structure Cora caught on fast and hasn't had an accident in a while. Smart girl! MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Scooter is a 3-year-old Beagle/Shepherd mix weighing 47 pounds who is looking for his forever family. This sweet boy came to the rescue very underweight, and thanks to lots of care and good meals, he’s slowly gaining weight and starting to come out of his shell. Scooter already knows how to sit and is eager to keep learning, especially if toys or treats are involved! He walks nicely on a leash and is working on his potty-training. He loves playing with toys, happily chewing on bones, and then winding down for some quality cuddle time. One of his favorite things is simply being part of the family—he wants to be included in whatever you’re doing, whether that’s playtime or a cozy night on the couch. Scooter gets along well with other dogs but has not met children yet. He is currently very curious about the cats in his foster home and is learning how to co-exist with them peacefully. Affectionate, loyal, and full of love, Scooter is a snuggler at heart who’s ready to find a forever home where he can continue to grow, feel safe, and be cherished. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will fill your home with love, Scooter might just be your perfect match. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training, & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. Meet Daisy Mae. She was purchased for some crazy amount from someone who had no clue. She was given away after a few days and a few days after that was rescued from an acquaintance who couldn’t stand the way she was being treated. That person reached out to us for help. Poor baby.  She does have papers for what that is worth. Daisy Mae is a Lemon Beagle and is only about 16 weeks old as of 1/3/26.  She was born 9/11/25. Daisy Mae is currently only about 13-15 lbs. She is great with other dogs and cats. Should be fine with respectful children. Due to her breed, a fenced yard is required.  She has had her age appropriate vaccines and will be spayed in February or March along with any other needed vaccines. Her adoption fee is $250. Doug is on inexpensive thyroid medicine and medicine for seizures. He will need a home without young children. Doug should have a cat free home but can have a submissive canine companion. Meet Maui!  Maui is a 3-month-old beagle mix with big puppy energy and even bigger curiosity. He’s a happy, fun-loving guy who adores people, loves playing with other dogs, and treats the yard, and the house, like one giant discovery zone. Shoes have recently been promoted to “very interesting chew objects,” but don’t worry… we’re working on redirecting him to toys (which he also loves once reminded they exist). Maui is crate trained and making progress with housebreaking. He’s a quick study, learning by watching the other dogs in his foster home. He’ll politely sit for treats and meals; he just hasn’t connected that behavior to the actual word “sit” yet. Baby steps. He also understands that outside = potty… he’s just still negotiating the “not inside” part of that agreement. Maui will howl like a hound and also "talks" to you from time to time. Maui came to us from a rural county shelter in Ohio, and while we don’t know much about his early life, his strong interest in food suggests he may not have always had consistent access to it. Because of that, we’ve been working with him on positive food interactions and building good habits around eating. He’s doing really well and continues to improve, but he’ll need a patient, committed family who can keep up his training and help him grow into the confident, well-mannered dog he’s clearly meant to be. If you’re looking for a playful, smart, slightly mischievous puppy who will keep you laughing (and maybe hide your shoes just in case), Maui might be your perfect match. We don't know Maui's full breed mix, but we are estimating his full-grown size will be on the larger end of a "medium" dog.
