Meet Ghost, a 5-year-old, 32-pound beagle mix with classic good looks, soulful eyes and those wonderfully floppy beagle ears!Ghost recently came to Canine Collective when a change in his family’s circumstances meant they could no longer care for him. Having lived in a home, Ghost already knows what it’s like to be part of a family. His former owner tells us that he is good with kids and other animals, making him a great candidate for many different kinds of homes.Ghost also earned good marks on his first outing with one of our volunteers. He was a good boy riding to the vet, sharing the trip with fellow pups Huck and Finn, and was easy to handle on a slip lead. He walked nicely without much pulling—pretty impressive for a beagle! And yes, Ghost has that unmistakable beagle voice and isn’t afraid to use it when he has something to say.At 5 years old, Ghost is past the puppy stage but still has plenty of years of adventures ahead of him. He’s a handsome, manageable-sized guy who has already shown us that he can take new people and new experiences in stride.If you’re looking for a sweet beagle boy to welcome into your family, come meet Ghost! Stephie is nearly 6 years old. We adopted her 4 years ago to be a friend for our other beagle. She has a lot of energy and loves walks and play time. She needs a fully fenced yard or a dog run because escaping has been a bit of an issue. She has always been very sweet and good with all people and most other dogs.We are rehoming her because she recently got into a serious fight with the dog of a family member. The other dog was the original aggressor, but Stephie's bigger and could have seriously hurt the smaller dog. This has never happened before, and I don't really blame her, but it's causing family strife that I can't deal with right now.

Chonky is a 6 year old beagle/boxer mix. He is a couch potato, and would love nothing more than to curl up and snuggle all day. He loves to be around people, and will follow you through the house for “moral support.” He has lived with other dogs before, but seems to do best with low energy dogs that give him his personal space. He does not like to be jumped on or wrestled with. He doesn’t do well with cats, but has lived around Guinea pigs and ferrets and seemed very unbothered/disinterested by them. He is a very sweet, loving dog who wants nothing more than to be by your side. Has been around kids his whole life and loves them. A little shy at first, but once he warms up to you he will be your best friend.

Bandit Leo is one of the seeetest most cuddly dogs you’ll ever meet. All he wants is attention and love. He loves to sleep in bed with you, and loves car rides and pup cups. We got him when he was 1 weeks old, he’s in now turning 2 Nov 8th. When we got him, only one of us was working but due to unforeseen circumstances we are both working now. We both work long hours, and he is not getting the attention and time outside he deserves and needs. We will give all his food, toys, kennel, anything we have for him as well.

Story
Max is a sweet, loving little guy. Wherever you are he wants to be there too. He likes to play with toys and snuggle on the couch. He goes to the dog park just about every day and enjoys his sniffing while he's there. He must be kept on a leash if he's not in a fenced-in area as he will take off. He has separation anxiety so would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time. We have a home in Ireland where we spend our winters. The two family members who have watched him for us in the past are no longer able to do so. We tried to find someone who could watch him the 3 to 4 months we're gone last year but were unsuccessful and our son stepped up for us. He now lives in a condo that doesn't allow pets. Max is 8 years old. If you are interested in meeting Max, please give me a call and we'll set something up. Vicki Beetham
