Dewey is 4 years old and loves the outdoors and other dogs! He is good with older kids that understand his boundaries. He does need a fenced in yard, he loves to wander! He is a sweet boy and enjoys being a couch potato, but his favorite thing in the world is going for a walk.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Please contact Sally (Ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet.Miss Percy Sue Pickles came to OBHR under the name Persimmon but we have since changed that to something more fun and fitting!  Percy came to OBHR a HOT MESS!! She had no hair on her chest, bottom, hoo hoo, back legs and very sparse on her back. Her eyes were cloudy and goopy. She was obviously used to crank out puppies over the years and probably was dumped. Thank goodness she was picked up by a good hearted person who took her to the shelter who then contacted us. Percy Sue Pickles' foster family has been taking fantastic care of her and a lot of her hair is coming back in! She is still pretty bald on the booty and legs, but things are filling in! She has some new eye meds and they are also clearing up. We are not sure she can see 100% but thank goodness she has that hound dog nose! Percy is guessed to be a bea-bull...beagle bulldog and about 8 years old. She is a sweet girl who would love a family of her own. She is spayed, chipped and up to date on all shots, but it still continuing with her meds for her eyes and skin. She is a little gal at 36 pounds of spunk!   She is good with other dogs, chickens, ducks, lizards.....doing fantastic in her foster home! She is a spunky little girl who may take a few days to warm up to you but she will eventually pay you back with love over and over!  She is available for adoption now if she can go to a home close enough to our Columbus vet so they can continue to check her progress for a few more weeks.  If you are interested in Percy Sue Pickles, please fill out the online application at ohiobassetrescue.com. This sweet boy is about 7-8 years old, basset beagle mix, and is about 37 pounds. He was found as a stray so we don’t know his background but we do know a lot about him!  Jasper LOVES to be outside and sniff so he will require a fenced in yard! He does great with other dogs and cats! (Well he’s actually afraid of the cats!) He sleeps in a dog bed in his foster mom’s bedroom and is just the bestest of boys! She doesn’t crate him when she is gone and he is perfectly fine! He will probably need a bit of refresher in his new home, watch for his signs, when he has to go potty so we don’t think he was a family pet before but he is doing TERRIFIC now! His foster mom loves him to pieces and wants the best home for him! He would make a perfect pet for a senior who just wants a baby to love and won’t be too energetic but still have A LOT of love and life left in him!  Jasper is being fostered in Columbus and his adoption fee is $300. Story
Tank, formally known as Booker, is a 1 year 2 month old beagle pug mix. He was rescued from a shelter who had two different birthdays/ages for him but it was found out that he was born on 7/23/24. He’s very dog friendly and kid friendly. Current home is with a 6 year old and two large dogs. He has puppy energy but is always up for a cuddle. He is completely crate trained. He is doing pretty good proving he is potty trained or that someone did work with him at some point. He’s had two accidents since being out of the shelter but has not had any since. He learned his name in one day. The only reason he needs rehomed is because one of the big dogs currently there does not like him. He loves to give kisses and goes crazy with happiness when you go to let him out of the crate. He is just an adorable small boy looking for somewhere to call home so his current owners don’t have to be worried about his safety! He comes with a crate, puppy food, a food container, dog toy, new collar and leash!

Tank is either a 1 year 4 month old or one year old beagle pug mix. He was rescued from a shelter who had 2 different birthdays/ages for him. He’s very dog friendly and kid friendly.
