Buddy was adopted around October by my elderly father-in-law to be an emotional support animal. My father-in-law is no longer able to care for Buddy. The shelter he was in said he was approximately 5 years old. Buddy is a loving dog who wants to sit on your lap or beside you in your chair. He also loves to play with his toys. Buddy is currently in a home with 2 large dogs. While he gets along with them very well he would be great as a single dog so he could get all the attention and toys. He plays fetch but forgets to bring the ball back. Buddy is neutered, housebroken, and we have been working with him on basis training (sit when you get a treat, wait to jump in the chair until you are given permission, etc.)

Meet 'Mama' Diamond! This sweet gal looks like a hound mix, maybe some beagle and is only 35 lbs and 2 years old. She is loving to all humans and dogs and comes with quite the backstory. Diamond was roaming as a pregnant stray in the dead of winter and on a cold and rainy night had a litter of 6 puppies. Luckily she and pups were rescued before flooding. All of the pups, known as the 'Pokemon litter' found homes and our mama is sure yearning for a home of her own. Now that her mama duties are over, her personality is starting to shine like the Diamond she is.Mama is a super sweet gentle girl and is just eating up all the affection and love. She has attended several adoption events at a local petstore and very much enjoyed the attention from everyone and was great with kids. Honey is a supersweet 1-2 year old beagle mix who had 5 beautiful pups. She currently weighs 30ish lbs.Honey's pups are all adopted and mama is eager to find her home. She is currently in a foster home where she is getting exposed to walks and the neighborhood. She is a homebody who enjoys the fenced backyard where she can bask in the sunshine and good smells and catch a quick 'dognap'. She is so eager for pets and climbs on your lap for kisses. Her beautiful brown eyes just say 'love me'. She of course loves the couch and stares outside the window. She will let you know when she needs to go outside, whether for potty or just to go outside. She enjoys having her person in backyard playing with her but she is fine being there by herself too. We think she would be fine with another dog in the house that would help her get used to a new home. ABOUT ME... My name is Princess! I was surrendered by my family after they could no longer afford to care for me. I was had a lot of other doggies to play with and a small child who I was wonderful with. I was used to a large yard with little-to-no interactions with people outside of my home, due to the rural area I lived in. My foster mom lived in a busier area which has been difficult, but I love to look out the window and see what's happening! I have found that I love treats, peanut butter, toys that I can pull the fluff out of and of course I love my humans and siblings. I really like peace and quiet and hanging out on the couch or on the bed to get some Z's in, or full movie marathon weekends. I am one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet, I am gentle and shy but loving when I am comfortable. I am a 30 LB lap dog who is a big baby in almost every way. I am curious and timid but irresistibly cute! I am one of the best cuddlers and love kisses. I AM GREAT WITH... Humans, dogs, and children. I can handle a crate when needed, will not have any accidents in the crate, and I like eating dinner in there too. I am great at sharing toys and rough housing with my foster family. I also am a great eater and might do well with a slow feeder. I AM STILL WORKING ON... Walking on a leash, strange noises, and new people are still things I'm getting used to. I love the idea of a walk and get so excited to put my harness on, but I get frightened when there are other people around on the walk. I get potty shy in my new space and have accidents when I am scared. Cats are a foreign object for me, when I saw one at the vet, I had an accident because I was scared, but I think I would be kind. I AM NOT GOOD WITH... Not good with sudden movements & unfamiliar events... (ex; new people or dogs coming into the backyard, walking in busy areas, loud sudden noises). I REQUIRE... A quiet neighborhood with a nice yard to run around in AND a house with no shared walls. A family who allows me on furniture because I love the couch and the bed!! Someone with the time to teach me that going potty is safe and walking can be fun. I love people I just get scared initially, but always accepting of love and pets from everyone I meet! **All animals in our care are spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (age 1 & up), given preventatives, and provided with initial vaccinations AT MINIMUM. Booster shots are included in the adoption fee and will be performed at our clinic, or the adopter can use their own vet at their expense. Adopters must reside within 2 hours of Columbus, OH. No transportation assistance is available.**
