My father passed away a few months ago and I’m looking to find an amazing home for his dog. His name is Raleigh, he will be 5 in June! He is a beagle/hound mixed cutie and about 60lbs. (Yes I LOVE this dog and would take him if I physically could ❤️). He has medical needs (epilepsy) that is well controlled with meds (no seizures since July 2025)… but does require someone that’s available to administer meds twice a day. He’s amazing with other dogs, loves to cuddle, and clings to his people. TBD on cats, I don’t know if he’s been test but he’s submissive enough my guess would be he would do great.

Elliot will be 12 in November and has been part of our family along with her sister since they were 14 weeks old. Elliot is a gentle 30lb girl. She loves going for walks and running outside. She loves being pet and cuddling up next to you. She is quite protective and will alert if anyone enters the home/yard, she welcomes people kindly but with caution. Elliot loves playing with her sister and is fine around other animals but generally prefers to keep to herself. She is good with children. We love her very much and this is a hard decision to come to, but we have entered a different season of life as we now have three young children and are having a fourth child this summer - between my husband and I both having full time jobs and parenting we are no longer able to give them the love and attention they deserve. We are hoping they will find a loving home to ideally take them on together as they have been lifelong besties.

She and one of her babies, Izzy, were adopted together—and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Izzy has always been a mama’s girl.This week, their world was turned upside down. Nutmeg’s story started when our team recovered her in the middle of nowhere. She had been abandoned and was clearly not a dog that showed signs of being loved.Now, she’s slowly discovering that humans can be safe, and full of ear scratches (which she has decided are absolutely the best thing ever).She’s still learning how to “dog,” and new things can feel scary at first. Nutmeg is a flight risk and will always need a secure harness and leash outside, even in a fenced yard for a while. She needs time to decompress, build trust, and move at her own pace.But once you’re in her circle? She falls in love. The shy little girl who once avoided people starts seeking you out for affection, quiet companionship, and those magical ear scratches.Nutmeg is wonderful with dogs and cats of all sizes in her foster home. In fact Nutmeg needs to be placed in a family with another calm well balanced dog who can show her how to be a pet and trust humans. She would do best with a patient, understanding family willing to let her blossom in her own time. Nutmeg is scared of people moving fast and of loud noises. For this reason we do not recommend Nutmeg for a family with children. Meet Ghost! 🐾With those soulful eyes, wonderfully floppy ears and classic hound-dog good looks, Ghost is pretty hard to resist! This 5-year-old, 32-pound beagle mix recently came to Canine Collective after a change in his family's circumstances meant they could no longer care for him. Having lived in a home, Ghost already knows what it means to be part of a family, and his former owner tells us he's good with kids and other animals.Since arriving, Ghost has been showing us what a sweet, good-natured guy he is. He rode nicely to the vet while sharing the trip with two other dogs and was easy to handle on a slip lead, walking without much pulling. He's also been a very good sport about all the necessary newcomer stuff — including his recent medicated bath, which he handled like a champ. And we're starting to discover some of Ghost's personality! Give this boy a chicken nugget and apparently he believes in saving for a rainy day. He recently carried his nuggets away one by one, dug a hole, tucked them inside and carefully used his nose to bury them for later. Check out the video at the end of the pics and you can see what a sweet boy he is!At 5, Ghost is past the puppy craziness but still young enough for plenty of walks, sniffing expeditions and adventures with his new family. He's sweet, expressive, curious and just quirky enough to keep you smiling.
